Our favorite sushi spot in BR. Our server recommended the Ça sent bon roll this time, which was their special of the day, and it did not disappoint!

Waiter told us the sushi wait time after placing order is usually 1 hour. What do you mean USUALLY one hour?? Despite me being extremely hungry, the sushi was nothing special. Mind you, these are the only special rolls we order. No appetizer just 2 specialty rolls. My friends who ordered crunchy rolls waited an hour too. In what world does a crunchy roll (like 5 ingredients nothing special) take 1 while hour? The fact that this wait time is regular is insane and am very surprised how busy it is despite that. Bad experience, horrible wait, nice (!) waiter, mediocre food that can be found in a better sushi place with better wait time.

My favorite sushi in Baton Rouge! The tiger roll is my go to especially for the deal on Tuesdays. It can get busy and the sushi does take awhile but worth the wait! I recommend getting there earlier rather than later, especially on Tuesdays!

I can't believe I haven't been here before! As a sushi enthusiast, I would say this is a place for people who like rolls as well as nigiri. I only tried the toro nigiri but so far so good! I also really loved the hot kama. All of my friends tried it and loved it as well. I liked that it was served with sushi rice but since I don't like too much sauce, I would probably ask to serve the sauce on the side next time. Other than that, the fish was so juicy I loved it! It did take 30+ minutes for the rolls to come at least. It was very busy and I understand why. The manager it seemed was very attentive and making sure the chefs were hard at work. We came in casual clothes but this place can def serve as a cute date night spot too. It's bigger than it looks inside and it has an upstairs area!

Fairly busy for a Thursday evening, a bit loud but was able to accommodate us with several toddlers. Great service. The rolls we ordered were delicious but a bit pricey IMO for what you get. Friend's volcano roll was the best. Consider going for happy hour if you can!

Came her after work with a co-worker and cannot wait to return again after realizing the location change. We ordered two clear soups, mine with extra toppings and two rolls. I can only recall adding asparagus to mine for added crunch and that the role, chic atmosphere and the server was amazing! Everything was FRESH! I encourage everyone to take a visit and also comment if you find the roles I took photos of.

Rock-n-sake is always so delicious! We started out with the pork belly lettuce wraps and the shrimp wontons which were both amazing!!! We ended up getting 3 rolls, one being a specialty roll. The service was quick and phenomenal; extremely attentive! We were seated quick for 7:30 on a Friday night with the apps and rolls being served promptly. We have found a new date spot!

It's ok just not my favorite sushi in Baton Rouge. The service is great and the vibes are there.

fresh salmon roll (breakfast of champions for tomorrow)

Yum! My fresh salmon roll was very delicious; good rice, fresh fish, perfect combination of sweet and savory. It's a bit pricey but perhaps this is what I should come to expect for decent sushi now. The seafood salad was decent; I wish there was more/a more interesting sauce, but all the fish was fresh. It was takeout so maybe its better dining in. i ordered a side of sushi rice but they gave me unflavored steamed rice instead which was not a huge deal but i was missing that flavor. If they had a bento special or roll combo lunch special of some kind I'd go here more often. The interior looked like a good vibe so I'll try going for drinks next time. There's a lot of sushi in Baton Rouge and this is one of the small percentage of acceptable places.

one angle of the bar. The whole restaurant was packed. Comfortable lighting through out

This is a great place overall but needs some improvement. The food is good and i love the atmosphere. I went on Tuesday and got a great deal. $6 drinks & buy one reg roll get the specialty of the month for $6. I got the ninja roll & the margarita roll. Absolutely delicious, large & both had a little kick if you like spice. For drinks i got a glass of of chardonnay & the pregame (taste like watered apple juice/not strong) I spent $48 which was steal! Low score for 2 reasons: 1) It took a while for me to put my order in & revive my food. Waitress was very nice but it took a while to put my drink order in & then 15 min from then to put my food order in. I then waited over an hour for my rolls. It got to a point i had to ask the waitress if my order was put in & she politely explained that the kitchen was backed up. 2) the bathroom was disgusting. 3 stalls and 2 had pee on the seat and the other had poop stains on the toilet paper. You can tell it's not kept up or cleaned. I did inform the hostess and she didn't seem surprise or made a move to get someone to clean it. At these price points i expect the bathrooms to be clean and in order! I highly recommend they hire a bathroom attendant. I also noticed there was a really loud staff member with a green sparkle shirt who was obnoxiously loud the whole time. She literally yelled in my ear as i was walking past to respond to someone. Then the continuous loud laughing & talking became a bit much while she was stationed with a few other staff members at the end of the bar. Overall great spot for a date, solo time or group outing. I will be back and recommend others to try

    Sushi king cake

My friends and I decided to order the sushi king cake for Valentine's Day. We were all super excited about it but were wildly disappointed once we started to eat it. Online the description makes it sound like it would be multiple different types of rolls in the shape of a king cake however that is NOT what we ate. Instead for over $100 you get a majority of snow crab and rice with JUST the toppings you see on the picture. Not to mention they were not cut into rolls so having the serve it was just a mess. Overall for more that $100 I expected more fish and toppings. Will definitely not be ordering again. The only good thing was that when I went to pick it up the employees were very kind and helped me right away.

Ambiance was great. We sat in a corner and got to see all the decor and kids got to view out window. The food was great! All sushi rolls were so fresh! My sister got the shrimp wontons and the breading was so crunchy and the sauce was great. The volcano roll was okay. The Brussels sprouts were heavenly! Service was okay, but there was a mini hiccup. While ordering, we told our server was wanted eel sauce and spicy mayo out with our food or before. The runners brought our food, no sauce, and server was no where to be found for 10 minutes. We all sat there just staring at our food for 10 solid minutes, which is the worse. I served before so I understand being busy, but we were all a little annoyed. Overall, the food was very fresh and we would visit again but just maybe sit at the bar.

The best sushi in town. The Tiger Roll is my absolute favorite and it is always fresh. This restaurant is great for drinks and they have a variety of sushi choices.

Enjoyed my visit here for happy hour. We ordered the Rib Stack, Hot Honey Wings, Veggie Fried Rice,…read moreHot Honey Chicken Bao Bun, and Crispy Fish Bao Bun. Overall, everything was good. The standout for me was the veggie fried rice. It had great flavor, and I'd honestly come back for that alone. The Snake Wrangler drink was also a favorite. The only downside was the hot honey. It was very light on both the wings and the bao bun, so the flavor didn't come through as much as expected. Service was efficient and attentive. It's a nice, quaint spot with a cozy patio and indoor seating. Still a solid happy hour option, and I'd definitely return.

Try one and they are stone cold but good flavor. I asked Courtney the server if they were meant to be served room temperature (first time having so wasn't Sure). She takes the whole bowl. A nice little bit later my bowl is returned just as my tikka masala queso Is arriving. From the looks of my bowl and the broth it was nuked. Heated in the microwave which was annoying bc I wanted to try these fresh for the first time and also more importantly I ordered them with intentions of eating 2 now and taking the other 3 to go so I could enjoy my queso there. Dumplings can't and shouldn't reheated multiple times over and especially not even once at the restaurant that's serving them. I was honestly just hoping they would have dropped a fresh hot spoon or two of the broth : sauce they were in. Very upsetting for the evening because I was excited to try something new

The Chang's Spicy Chicken was delicious, as usual, and full of flavor. My only disappointment was that the portion seemed smaller than what I normally get when dining in. I also requested it extra spicy, but it really wasn't spicy at all. The chicken lettuce wraps were perfect. I substituted romaine lettuce for iceberg, and the lettuce was fresh, crisp, and not torn or browned at all, which I really appreciated. The crab wontons were crispy and delicious, and the sauce that came with them added great flavor. The key lime pie was also very good, although the portion felt a little small for the price. It came with a sauce on the side that was pretty bland, but I was glad it was separate so I could leave it off. Overall, everything tasted great and I enjoyed the meal. A little more consistency with portion sizes and spice level would have made it a full 5 stars.
