This meal exceeded my expectations! I ordered on Door Dash and my food was ready super fast. Picking it up was so easy and the worker was very sweet. This is the best hibachi I've ever had and I will be eating here again! read more

Hibachi Xpress - H3. Hibachi Chicken with fried rice - Japanese Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I had a really disappointing experience ordering the steak and scallops. The steak was clearly low quality and came out overcooked, making it tough and hard to enjoy. The scallops were the opposite problem--they were undercooked and didn't feel safe to eat. On top of that, the rice tasted old, like it had been sitting around for far too long, and the vegetables were so hard they were difficult to chew. For the price, I expected much better quality and freshness. Overall, the meal was overpriced and not worth it at all. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience. read more

The Yum Yum sauce was YUMMY!!!! I have never had anything like it at any other place in town. The vegetable rice serving is very substantial and tastes awesome! The steak was tender and tasty. I could have skipped the soup and salad if that is an option. We walked in to order and were told that it would be ready in 20 minutes, so we ran to Rouses to pick up a few groceries. Next time we will probably phone ahead. If you are contemplating this restaurant for take out - go for it! If you want to dine in, be aware that it is basically a strip mall with limited seating available. It is fun to watch them cook your meal. read more

There was a very long hair tired into our bag of food. Very nasty. Food: it's not the absolute worst hibachi but for the price, atmosphere, service (did not take it well when I asked for my steak to be cooked to medium well instead of medium), taste of food and wait time you could go to Tokyo and have a nicer experience. A lot of people seem to visit this place for to go orders, so it's all about your decision To Express Or Not To Express. Hair is still a problem. (Reddish hair) The portions are a 10/10. No ginger was a disappointment. read more

No one greeted me upon entry. The seating was unstable, dirty and broken. We waited 50 minutes for: dry, cold rice; chewy unseasoned steak. I spent $60 of my hard-earned money for something I wouldn't feed my Frenchie. -1/10 read more

The service was really good, it's mostly a take out type place but there are a few seats, real nice place the food tasted amazing, the chicken literally melted in our mouths. It's also one of the only places in BR I've found that has actual yumyum sauce. I won't be getting fried rice from anywhere else again! read more

Extremely friendly staff and amazing food!! When I walked in I was immediately greeted and the nice lady even asked how my exams were going! I ordered the hibachi fried rice triple combo and it was so delicious! So much food/meat for only $12! I will 100% be going back. Great job guys! Hibachi Xpress - 5. Hibachi Fried Rice Combination - Japanese Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

This place was pretty good for what it was. It's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with nice people working. I grabbed a lychee marble soda from the cooler but it was missing the top part you use to push the marble so they gave me another one on the house. I ordered the hibachi chicken lunch and I got it with the clear soup and fried rice. I also ordered some pan-fried pork gyoza. The gyoza was good. It was different than I usually have. The dough wrapper was noticeably thicker but it still tasted good. The hibachi chicken was good but it was a very small portion. The fried rice was alright - nothing too fancy. The clear soup was good too. This place is a generally fine place to go if others are closed. read more

Food was pretty good. Everything is made to order so it was fresh. I ordered the shrimp and chicken combination with fried rice and noodles. Was a decent price for the large portion given along with Mushroom Soup and salad. (1 yumyum sauce included) . Service was fast and the cashier gave efficient customer service for takeout order. Establishment appeared clean and had seating for diners along with a television. Inside my salad were a couple of hairs which spoiled the experience for me. read more

Came here to pick up some dinner my last night visiting town and I was so pleased. I only paid around $20 for all this food and it all tasted great. And one of the workers even ran out after my friend and I when he realized he accidentally packaged a wrong box in her bag. He fixed it, re-bagged it, and thanked us. She could've easily left with incorrect food, but he made sure we didn't. Much appreciated. read more

Fresh & delicious food and huge portions. Definitely recommend the egg rolls. Prepare to be patient as the food is made to order. Will definitely be back! read more

Average Asian food. Nothing too special, but what you get for the price isn't too bad. I did wait quite a while for my food, and I was the only person in the restaurant the entire time. So maybe it would be better to call ahead and order on the phone if you don't want to wait. I probably won't be back here. You can find better Asian food elsewhere read more

One of the best new food places around LSU. This place has such big portions for a super reasonable price. One order can last 2 servings. Hibachi orders also come with soup and salad!! Good place for a takeout dinner night. read more

From the front door this place does not look like much. There is very little to no decoration. But we wanted to eat a quick lunch and avoid a fast food place. Overall the wait was normal I would say considering they had to cook chicken and steak. The amount is good enough for a decent lunch. Steak is nice and not hard at all. Vegetables were Nicely cook and you had a little of everything. We also order gyozas and edamames and both were ok. The soul and salad were fresh. Overall it's a good value for what you pay, I did see plenty of people that must have ordered online since they only picked up. The only complain is having the soup and salad on styrofoam containers. We ate in the restaurant so I would have expected different. read more

Nothing Xpress about Hibachi Xpress... took 50 mins to get food when there was no one in front of me. No respect for time whatsoever.

I wasn't greeted when I entered, but the people after me were greeted with an immense amount of enthusiasm. They ordered after I did and got their food 15 minutes before I got mine. Horrible service coupled with mediocre food is a travesty. Never spending another dime in this place. read more

This place is awesome. Food is always great and you get to watch it made if you go in and order. Spring rolls were awesome but sometimes the salad was... iffy. Miso soup is a little bland and watered down for my liking. Lot of food for what you pay! Regular here in college read more

It was ok, wait time wasn't to bad and the food was average. The mushroom soup was really good I must say

Ordered online for pickup. My only complaint would be that after ordering online the screen did not show how long the wait would be. I had to call and ask. Once the order was ready i received a text. The food was delicious! We got the gyoza, chicken dumplings, and three meat noodle plate. Definitely would recommend this place especially for the price. read more

This place is great! I really missed fast-food Japanese Hibachi style and they make it GOOD here. I really enjoy the fried noodles and the sesame balls. They're extra flavorful and tasty! They make the food right in front of you so it's kinda fun to watch as well! This place has definitely found a spot in my weekly rotations! read more

Was not greeted upon entering, and had to acknowledge them in order to talk to someone. Restaurant seemed clean, and was empty of any patrons when I visited. Pretty dark but lots of tvs! Food was good, only received 4 shrimp in my order (the combination shrimp, chicken and steak teriyaki) for $17. Did not eat the salad it came with, but it looked fresh enough. Comes with plenty of sauce on the side. The lo mein was the best part imo as well as the spring rolls! Will revisit again. read more

Today was our first time trying this new little place. It was very clean with a menu full of options. We ordered the combo hibachi with noodles, combo hibachi with fried rice, steak hibachi with fried rice, steamed pork gyoza and egg rolls. The egg rolls were fantastic. The pork gyoza was very good but had been steamed just a little too long. The sauce served with the gyoza is perfectly sweet with a little hint of spice. The hibachi noodles and the fried rice were a bit bland, but I tossed them into a pan at home with some low sodium soy and some extra teriyaki sauce I'd requested while there. Perfect after that! If you like your hibachi a little more flavorful, definitely request extra teriyaki while they're preparing it. The shrimp are SO GOOD. Definitely the favorite protein choice within our group. I prefer beef med rare; a temp option was not available, though, for steak. It was still good, but the shrimp were far and away more flavorful. The chicken was good. Meat portions are fairly small; if you're a big eater, opt for extra meat for an upcharge. All orders include a side of yum yum sauce. Great little place with good prices for quick hibachi. We will be back! read more

The food is good but I have an issue. I come here pretty regularly and one day ordered the chicken hibachi. I asked for no vegetables and when I went to go pay, I noticed that the receipt stapled to the to-go bag showed that I was charged an extra $1 for something. Before I could examine it, the owner curiously ripped the receipt off the bag, presumably because he saw me eyeing it. So I asked for a copy of the receipt and he gave me one that didn't have the price breakdown (eye roll). So I asked for an actual breakdown receipt and at last saw that he charged me an extra $1 for "no vegetables." I asked why I was being charged extra when I was getting less, and he said because he gave me extra rice. Last I checked, replacing something for something else doesn't yield a loss for the company, and rice certainly doesn't cost more than vegetables. But my main issue is how he sneakily tried concealing the extra charge. read more

Exactly what the sign says. Fast yet really good hibachi. And comes with the white sauce!! My fav. Reasonable price for A LOT of food. Got the combination steak and chicken with noodles and salad. 13 dollars. Had enough for lunch AND dinner! Win read more
