The place is really clean and nicely decorated. My daughter is really picky, so we had a lot of questions about the menu. But the staff were all kind and helpful in clearing things up. We found something we thought she'd like, and ordered. And she loved it! This kid hates all food, but downed this whole giant bowl of ramen. What a delightful experience. I finally got to have my first poke bowl and Finbomb did disappoint. I had the Rainbowl which was full of Sushi Rice, Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Surimi Crab, Avocado, Cucumber, Green Onions, Seaweed Salad, Tobiko, Wonton Strips, Unagi Sauce. It was so tasty! Just a reminder that the tuna and salmon are raw similar to sushi. But they are so good too. For my base, I actual did half sushi rice and half greens. There is also an option to do purple rice and I think there might be one other option that is slipping my mind right now. The menu has plenty of options. My good friend Eating w/ Miyah mentioned this place recently and since it was nearby I definitely had to try it! FinBomb is a Sushi Burrito and Poké Bar located in Arlington Creek Shopping Center and with only one other location in Reno, NV, they are definitely carving out their own niche. Self-described as having "the best of fresh", they truly lived up to the hype. Since it's located in a shopping plaza, there was ample parking and picking up my mobile order was a breeze. Not gonna lie I was a little confused when I saw the lock on the door handle. A few confusing moments later, I decided to actually try the door handle and it opened right up. FinBomb has plenty of options but I decided to build my own sushi burrito. I started with a soy paper wrap, added purple rice for the base, fresh spicy tuna and surimi crab for protein, cucumber, red cabbage and pico de gallo for toppings, added yuzu ponzu and sriracha for a little bit of sweet heat, tempura for some extra crunch and cream cheese for a cool element. This burrito was delicious! Fresher than fresh, and flavorful. I saved the other half of the wrap for tomorrow. I got a side of tempura shrimp which was just okay but the brownie was the real star. I've only had their Ramen but it was really good. I ordered the shrimp ramen "1 heat" and because they are chili oil, well , it was a little hotter than that. But the taste was excellent. This is my favorite spot right now. I went twice last week and will be back this week. Let me start with the food. So fresh, so many options, all customizable and delicious. I got the hook up burrito and it's an explosion of flavor. It's also ginormous and super filling. There's no better deal in BR when you consider price and quality of food. Meh. A little bit of a confusing layout when you first walk in, but eventually you come to the order counter and menu options on the wall. What's great is that things look fresh and the staff is trained well, but you almost feel rushed to order. The food was made pretty fast once they received the order. Food wise, I got a large (5 protein) build your own poke bowl and a large/shareable size edamame. The edamame came with about 30 beans in the container. For the build your own poke, I did 3 salmon, 1 spicy kani, and 1 tuna. The serving size is pretty good for the price you're paying, but taste was okay. This is the first poke place that I went to that the sushi rice was not hot. It was more on the cold side, but that may be how they do it here? Not only that, but the sushi rice was too mushy. I guess since it was mushy, it caused the rice to clump up as shown in the last picture. I ended up asking my bf to finish it since my appetite was lost. I've heard mixed reviews about FinBomb so I wasn't really sure what to expect when I tried it yesterday. However, I'm so so glad I did because I loved it! I ordered the Rainbowl because it had pretty much everything I already wanted on it. Their ahi tuna and salmon were so fresh and they did not skimp on their servings! They gave me two pretty big scoops of each protein. I also enjoyed the seaweed salad and the sauce that came in this bowl. My only critique is that I wish they put the sauce directly on their protein rather than drizzling it on the whole bowl. Most of the poke places I have been to put the sauce on the protein directly and I just feel like it makes that added difference. I also recommended asking for another thicker sauce like spicy Mayo to be drizzled on top because I felt like it just needed more sauce in general. Overall, my experience was great! The staff was friendly and they were able to answer any questions I had. The prices seem high, but I believe it is totally worth it. My large Rainbowl was almost $17, but when you take into account that that's how much a lot of special rolls are at Japanese restaurants, it's a reasonable price.
