The Gyozas are pretty delicious. There isn't anything exceptional perhaps but it does the trick. Any sushi place is unlikely to have good fish if you order at the start of the week. But for the price, it's pretty decent. As for potentially racist delivery guys... NY is tough... It's not all rainbows and gluten free ice cream. I'm so confused bout the fairly good reviews. The service is good. The girl at the register is truly kind as everyone is saying, but this is honestly the 2nd worst sushi I've ever eaten. Grocery store sushi is infinitely better than this strangely prepared food. The salmon I had was like some chopped salmon hash where they put some bland filler in obviously to save money. I've never had sushi watered down before-ever. My stomach started hurting almost instantly upon leaving. It's around noon the next day, & I am still experiencing a very unhappy, painful gut. read more

This is my first time writing comments on yelp! To be fair, the food is pretty good with a cheap price. However, the Delivery service is ABSOLUTELY "AMAZING"! The delivery guy called with an extremly nasty tone like I have owed him ten million dollars tips and told me to go downstairs to pick it up. After I told him that there was no way that I would help him to complete his job since I had already tipped, he was harasting me with NONSTOP door bell for a long time even though I had already buzzed him in. Use to love this place because it was cheap, easy, fast and decent considering. They really seem to have issues with their customer service. I get it, the food industry is rough, but I paid for a service, I think I deserve just the littlest bit of consideration. I don't really LOVE sushi the way most do, so I basically go there for dumplings. The price is great and it's half a block from my apartment. The girl who works the counter is super-friendly. Complete and utter trash. My salmon was brown and fishy smelling like it had been sitting out all day. "Calimari Appetizer" really means three pieces of deep fried rubber, that might have had a fighting chance if it was anywhere near luke warm, but since the order took forever I was left with soggy breaded rings of cold chewy something or others. Placed an order for delivery for my job: California rolls, shrimp dumplings and chicken fried rice . The dumplings were very ordinary , the sauce tasted better than the dumplings actually. The rice was super trash . It literally had no flavor and was not fried properly. When I opened the sushi, it smelled like straight up fish which was wierd because I ordered California rolls which has NO FISH. No way Jose . And they tasted very mediocre . I gave this place 2 stars because it's really cheap (I see why ) and the delivery was super quick (kudos to the delivery guy). Def will not order again . read more

Great for delivery through grubhub. You can tell the food is prepared by someone who cares Great combo boxes. Not a fan of the "Tokyo Fried Chicken" but the chicken teryaki is first rate. Maki combos are the best value. Avoid the calamari. It's...weird. read more

Beware if you want delivery. I ordered through Seamless for delivery. The delivery person called me to come down to pick up in the lobby. When I told him I could not, he seemed surprised that I wanted the delivery person to, uh, deliver. I called the restaurant to have them tell the driver to deliver to my door and was told that since it was a big building (6 floor elevator building), they do not deliver to the apartment. Really? If I wanted to put on pants, I would have gone out. This totally defeated the purpose of Seamless - pants and talking to another person. read more

Heard about this place from a friend so i decided to check it out and was not disappointed. Preparation took a little while but was definitely worth the wait. This place is just not great. Took almost an hour and a half for delivery. Once they arrived, the delivery person called my cell phone demanding we come downstairs to pick up our food... Despite the fact that my seamless account provides simple instructions on which side of the building we're on, etc. Once we got the food... Ugh. Cold and soggy tempura. Only one pair of chopsticks and one serving of soy sauce. The sushi itself was also blah and soggy. The sushi in this area isn't necessarily great.... But this was a noticeably bad dinner. Usually the rolls are pretty tasty, but today I thought I would venture out and order some Yaki Soba. Definitely not worth $7 for a handful of spaghetti with one green bean, old dead yellow lettuce for filler, and two broccoli florets. And was there supposed to be a sauce or any kind of flavor? I'm not sure, but I bet I could pull a better soba dish out of the garbage. read more

Good quality sushi for an affordable price. I got three basic rolls--Alaskan, tuna avocado and Philly and an order of miso soup. All were very good. The fish was fresh and there were nice sized chunks of filling with little rice...the way it should be! read more

After placing the online order, it arrived a little too quickly. I have explicit instructions about how to get into my building on the website, yet the deliveryman called me twice. He didn't speak English well, and that was probably the problem, but he was very nice. My issue was the food. I'm pretty sure they pre-cook the food and heat it when you order; that doesn't bode well with tempura. The food didn't smell or look good, and I think it all came down to food storage and freshness. The food definitely wasn't fresh and the shrimp in the tempura vaguely tasted of disinfectant. Also, the food had a certain mustiness to it, as if it were stored in a damp basement. I actually spat out a couple of things. My son picked at his food and we wound up throwing the whole two meals away. $30 lighter and wiser. Never again. The worst food I ever ordered online. Ordered from them the second time this week and must say their delivery time is pretty quick and the food has up to now been fresh tasting....the amount of food you get for the price is unbeatable! Their lunch special prices are pretty cheap as well and their menu is pretty expansive...will definitely use them going forward for take out! read more

I find that this is the best place to get reasonably priced, fresh sushi. You can order through seamless and delivery time varies. If you ever have a party or gathering, they have great party platter deals. I haven't had a roll that I didn't like. The Tokyo wings were pretty soggy, so I would skip it and if you like your calamari with a lot of batter then they're right up your alley. Surprisingly, their fried rice is very delicious. read more

I've only ordered delivery from here and through seamless I've never called here or anything like that. Their sushi isn't half bad, I mean it isn't the best sushi I've had in my life or anything like that, but it is no where near the worst, they fall right in the middle. What I really love about this place is how fast they deliver, It literally takes them about 20 minutes after I place my order to get my food. Love love love love that!! Not too shabby. Prices are decent compared to other sushi places in New York. I feel like places in Brooklyn need to have better ways of insulating food for deliveries--the crunchy roll was a bit soft--but maybe that's just the two places I've ordered in from so far. I've definitely had better sushi, but I think it's fair for what you're paying. In New York, these rolls would normally be 1.5 to 2 times the price, I'd say. The food is tasty enough that I'd be willing to pay these cheaper prices in lieu of getting expensive but delicious sushi. read more

The sushi tasted fine, but there were fish bones in my Alaska role. When I called to ask that they refund me or give me a credit, they said they would give me a free Alaska role next time I came in. I told them that the bone had ruined my entire meal (once you take a bite with a bone in it, you don't really want to go back for more) but they refused to do anything more than give me a credit for the one roll with the bones in it. I ordered from these guys through seamless. While I was waiting for the delivery I read the reviews on here so I knew the delivery could be interesting. I left instructions to buzz the door and I would let him in and I'm on the second floor. I just got a phone call from him. He just said delivery and I said I would be down...I went down and he was on his bike with two other orders...so I understand he can't leave other peoples food behind to run my food up. And the food was fine. Spider roll and Shrimp asparagus roll. And the delivery time was fine. Seamless said it would be about a half hour and he was on time. read more

I took the lead from a previous review and ordered the Chicken Terriyaki Deluxe. Fast delivery. Very decent. Not much flavor but a good price.I would recommend to order extra sauce, wasabi, etc on the side. They are rather stingy with it. California Roll was better than I thought it would be - good. Finding sushi delivery I trust is imperative, and so far this is the only place I've tried since moving to Clinton Hill (I'm in the delivery zone for these guys, TOOT TOOT). For my solo experience, I got the Toms Roll (some crazy combo of spicy tuna, avocado, more tuna on top etc. etc.) and veggie stand-by Avocado & Cucumber Roll. I always order from here through Seamless on Friday nights. The Special Philadelphia Roll makes my tummy oh so happy! And even though it says 45-55 min for delivery, it always comes sooner than that, which makes me happy enough to give the delivery guy an extra tip on top of the tip I paid when I checked out on Seamless. I've never passed up a piece of sushi, but I threw away 5 of the 8 pieces in my combo because their color and texture were so unappetizing I thought they might have gone bad. The california roll was fine -- perhaps better luck with rolls? I wouldn't try the sushi again -- even the cooked pieces looked gross. read more
