I'm sorry but this place is not good. The fish has a very metallic taste to it. It's hit and miss and not always fresh. The maki rolls are abnormally large when they should be a lot smaller compared to special rolls. It's a NO from me. Hana is more expensive but the quality of the fish is higher. read more

Giving 4 stars only cause my first ordered from a month ago(not pictured) came wrong and wasn't a fan of the fried calamari roll and the yakisoba noddles. We tried them again and I changed up my order and this time it was much better also they got it correct. I ordered right through Yelp food came in perfect temp and tasted really good. If your craving sushi then this little gem is for you. It's in a great location, with lots of parking. We went around 2pm on a Tuesday and it was just us and another group. Our waitress Dakota was super friendly and attentive. We weren't from town so we wanted to try a little of different types of rolls. Everything we ordered was delicious and nothing disappointed us. I love supporting small businesses who stay open during covid . I think that if you can do it safely , the government shouldn't be allowed to say who's closed and who's not . I happily ordered takeout, about $100 worth of food. We ordered some rolls, tempura and a tonkatsu pork dinner. I showed up picked the order up 5 minutes before it was ready because it's best to pick up this type of food fresh. I live about 5 mins away so the drive time should not really effect the quality of the food. Now to the food, the rolls and tempura were just okay, but the tonkatsu dinner was very dry almost seemed reheated. It really isn't edible. I've attached the pics of it which show how dry it is. I called in to try to provide feedback and see about maybe getting it replaced. I believe a server who was pregnant answered. After asking how the food was made, I was told three times, "oh all our food is freshly made". The chef clearly overfried the tonkatsu. I ended the call as she was not looking to remedy the situation. I was not looking for anything free but I should have at least been offered a replacement tonkatsu dinner. I would have been happy to bring the dry dinner back. As I mentioned, I spent about $100 on takeout. To my dismay my family was very disappointed in the meal and then reaction to the friendly feedback I provided. We ordered several salmon nigiri, two of the baby lobster rolls and the Alaska roll. The texture and flavor were delicious and well presented. It was so good that we returned at least four more dimes that month. Not only that, but they also offer a military discount for both active and retired duty. Even after the pandemic struck, they implemented a way to do curbside pick up as well as home delivery. It did not hinder their services or their taste. As someone who works at a Japanese restaurant, this place is quite amazing. Every single detail that you'd look at was nearly perfect. The tables and interior were clean, the aesthetic with the sakura trees and the black furniture looked amazing, and of course, the food tasted great. But we decided not to go with the sushi for our meal since it was a chilly day, and stuck with udon and yakisoba noodles. We had ordered: grandmother- a veggie udon + extra tofu sister - beef udon myself - beef yakisoba to share - agedashi tofu the tofu + ponzu sauce was an amazing appetizer. crispy and hot - my two favorite things in a fried snack. I tasted all of the entrees and they were all very good. But I actually preferred the veggie udon most out of all of them. Maybe it's because the chef used a different, simple broth with soy sauce? not sure, but it tasted really good. I will give it a 3 for decor because I love all the sakura blossoms and trees. Very pretty. Though was disappointed in majority of the food. Their salmon skin handroll had no eel sauce and maybe a dash of soy sauce and the skin was not crispy and a bit difficult to bite off. Their jalapeño poppers and baked muscles were lackluster. The sauce they put in the salad for garnish the two appetizers were delicious but no sauce put on or mixed in the crab or spicy tuna. Fish quality of the oshi roll was alright but the sauce they used was literally oshi. Got the cajun salmon and the sauce and seasoning was yummy. Service was, a bit underwhelming. Not checked up on very often and had to ask and remind of stuff often. Ordered two poppers and 1 muscle and got 2 muscle instead. It might be because it became a full house and only 3 servers so I can understand that working at 3 different sushi restaurants. Also one the male servers called the jalapeño popper the baked muscle. My partner and I went here on Friday for his birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by such amazing staff and got a table easily. We got all you can eat, which had so many options and varieties it was impressive. Try the omakase options! They are so much fun and delicious. We were served by the most wonderful and sweet person Lauren, who teased us about being regulars after this visit. Which she was incredibly right, because my partner and I went back the very next day because we were craving the real wasabi that they have! Again two days in a row we were met with unmatched and wonderful service! The restaurant was clean, good music levels, food was prepared quickly, and again we were helped by such an excellent and amazing server Lauren. She honestly deserves such a raise and five stars for her service alone! My husband just picked up a roll from this place, the worse sushi ever tasted, his first bite had a big seed in it. No idea why a seed or what seed would be in it. His second roll had bones in the fish still. He called for a refund and the girl who answered told him to bring back the sushi that he had already thrown away. We were able to get the grand opening special of 30% off rolls. Our dinner check was very reasonable. The staff was okay but we had to remind the waiter to bring our hot sake. Some dishes were okay but some were just so-so. One roll had rice which needed to be cooked just a bit more. Two of our rolls fell apart from poor 'rolling'. We had a retired sushi chef in our group who commented the tuna had been stored frozen. He was not impressed, though he had to admit the raw fish was cut generously. We may go back in the future. Craving sushi and this placed stuck out like a sore thumb. It's located on a busy street so it's easy to spot. You can see directly inside the restaurant from outside. It has big clear windows so a lot of natural lighting.The restaurant is nicely decorated and a there is a very pretty tree inside. We have the option to seat ourselves wherever we'd like which is nice. We sat down and were offered water and a menu. Menu is long but somewhat organized. Miso soup is great. A little over salted but nothing too crazy. Edamame is offered spicy or regular. I tried the regular but was told the spicy one isn't spicy. Their spicy mayo is great. Just the right amount of spicy. Let's get to the rolls...wow. This place does not skimp on the fish. The ratio of rice to fish is crazy. I chose the tempura shrimp roll but later come to realize they had a crunch roll that was towards the end of the menu. I also ordered the calamari role. (Note to self: never order that roll again. ) The calamari was dry and a little overpowering to the rest of the roll. I've had better calamari. Wasn't sure what to expect because this place is new, opened up on December 11th, 2019, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server Mackenzie was (is) awesome. She took the time to explain everything, asked how each roll or appetizer was and how it tasted so she could let other patrons know. Service was great! We had the Tuna Tartare app, Candy Can Roll (regular tuna - not spicy) and the Jessica Roll (both with masago added, my wife loves masago!). Finished off with a Yellowtail Hand Roll (with avocado and radish sprouts added). They were very accommodating to our requests and the food was fantastic.
