Time for pickup
Carol T.

The products are still great but the service is awful. Went to pickup a preordered came at 11:40am when pickup time was between 11am-2pm. The cake was not ready and the staff was unapologetic and did nothing to compensate. The lady even said all the customers knows pickup between 11-2 means at some point between 11-2 and that if it is after 2, then it is their mistake?!! There was a cake that was the next size up ready to go but they wouldn't give that to me and I had to leave without a cake. I drove over 10k just to pickup the fresh mango cake and they offered me some other random cake instead. Worse things could happen in my life but...WTF they just kinda RUINED my birthday.

They have a great variety of breads and bakery products. We got white sandwich bread slice which is super soft and fresh. Also tried blueberry muffins and pound cake -they were great as well. Cheese wiener bun - my husband loved this one. It has sausage in it. My favorite was butter bun, softest sweet and salty butter bun...A must try.

We bought 4 macarons for $8. It was made well and tasted exactly as described. My child ate two back to back in less than 5 minutes. Service was minimal and efficient. I did not realize the bakery also sells HK style drinks. Now they need some tables and seating outside their storefront so people can actually enjoy a drink with some baked goods.

We passed this cake house while shopping at Mugi Japanese store in Coquitlam Center the other day and noticed that they had a durian cake.

My mom and I came in to have some tea as I'd seen the Taste of the Tri-Cities scone/tea promo ($10…read morefor choice of tea, 2 buttermilk scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam) on their Instagram. The service was super friendly, coming by to check in how the food was and refilling our tea. We shared one combo (there was a variety of tea to choose from and we opted for the Cherry Blossom Green tea which was light and floral) and also tried their feature cupcake of the month (Strawberry Matcha, while not very matcha-y, the strawberry buttercream was delightful). I loved the Royal Albert plates and teacups they used as well as the cozy interior with Parisian decor elements. It wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon and I'd definitely recommend this quaint spot for a lovely teatime break!

It had chocolate buttercream filling (I think it was anyway) and possibly vanilla buttercream icing on the outside. Didn't taste like buttercream so I'm not sure. When I got the cake, the motorcycle was a photo on fondant, which is okay I guess, but then it had a huge "Indian Motorcycles" across the top. It looked like an advert for Indian motorcycles. So I had to take that off. The decoration was minimal and boring, but what really got me was the taste. Oh I'm sorry, WHAT taste? The cake was dry and so was the buttercream filling. I didn't realize it was possible to have dry icing. I was soooo disappointed. Plus I couldn't believe this cake cost me $235. Never again.
