Looks like the original location is still there but the second location on Yonge has closed. The brother's location on Parliament/Gerrard called Phosome is still there. Ordered the pad thai and it's on the more tart side. Missing umami, could use a but more salt. On the other hand the appetizer: rice roll with mushroom with that fish sauce is perfection, highly recommended. Large space, too much incense smell so if you're sensitive, be warned. Friendly staff. Good price, large portions on mains, vegan.

The meals are surprisingly more expensive than I thought for a place that does not serve meat. I was not expecting many of the dishes to cost at the $15-$20 range. Food items I enjoyed are the tofu-seitan and the BBQ vegan meat. What was disappointing was the Vegan Butter Chicken ($17). The dish contained a lot of potatoes. I would have preferred it to hold a lot more tofu or whatever meat substitute. Even then, all that the dish was was a typical butter chicken dish replacing the actual meal. The curry was nothing special. A service interaction that left a sour taste in my mouth was when I requested a spoon and fork to use for my Vegan Butter Chicken meal. The waitress just motioned that there is already a spoon included in the dish and that there are chopsticks available. I, personally, would have wanted to eat my dish using a spoon and fork compared to eating it with chopsticks. The restaurant should have different utensils available and ready to provide to customers having their personal preferences.

Awesome vegan Vietnamese food. I was craving ultra healthy food and they were very accommodating. I went with a plate of steamed mixed vegetables and a side of steamed tofu. They also made the summer rolls with steamed instead of fried tofu at our request. The bbq banh mi that my husband ordered was also delicious!

Great food!!!! Even my parents liked it and they're super grouchy Vietnamese people! Waitresses are also very nice and super attentive as well!

Lab lunch with a vegetarian in the group so this resto came up as an option. It is a very long restaurant with limited aisle space. Regardless there is ample seating. The decor is really cool with a blue sky ceiling a Buddha in the middle surrounded by some lotus flower, very zen. When viet food is so cantered around meat, it's hard to wrap my head around vegan viet, but I think they did it pretty well! Combo 1 with sweet and sour crispy tofu, caramel tofu-seitan and bbq vegan meat. They all had familiar flavours, but the proteins did make it feel it bit off. Sweet and sour tofu - very different from the traditional Asian sweet and sour sauce. this one is much more vinegary less sweet. The fried tofu was a bit soggy than I would have liked. Would not recommend. Carmel tofu-seitan was good with different textures and flavours, yum! Would recommend a try! BBQ vegan meat was absolutely delicious. Similar texture to meat and it had all the right flavours, very similar to BBQ pork charged well. Would get again!

Came here yesterday with some friends and got their small egg noodle soup with vegan crab and BBQ meat for $15 before tax and tips. It was so so tasty and flavourful, perfect even on a pretty warm summer day. Service was quite fast.

Great choice for a healthy vegan dinner- they don't use MSG so no headache for me! Food was very filling but also didn't make me feel heavy or bloated. Everything tasted so fresh- the sauce on the pad thai was amazing and the vegan butter chicken was so hearty and thick. There were potatoes in there and I think I tasted pumpkin in the sauce. The naan bread was super good to dip in the butter chicken. The dining area is fun to look at- lots of decoration. The servers were super nice and they were also able to split our check in half. I would come here again!

This is for their NEW Bloor Yonge location SO HAPPY to have a vegan restaurant in the neighbourhood. Great options, fast service, friendly manager/owner/host, and yummy tasting food. Ambiance is nice with plenty seating.

Gf yam tempura salad roll

Stumbled upon this place looking for lunch before a show at CAA theatre. Lots of gf options and all is vegan. The yam tempura (corn starch coating) salad rolls were delicious. The pad Thai was tasty with 3 different types of tofu and lots of veggies. Hubby thought his combo with eggplant was bland. He found his bubble tea grainy. Service was very good, friendly and quick. Neil took time to check on us frequently and was lovely to chat with. There were a few fruit flies close to the poinsettias so we moved them. Casual place, decent food and great service.

I tried the Fresh Salad Rolls ($3.75) and the Spicy Lemon Grass Tofu, Seitan, BBQ Vegan Meat, and Spring Roll Vermicelli Bowl ($16) and was pleasantly surprised! The rolls were fresh and didn't have the funky aftertaste that a lot of these rolls have with rice paper. The vermicelli bowl was a surprisingly large portion (the picture doesn't do it justice), and the meats were well-seasoned but not overly salty. The noodles were fresh, did not clump together, and the "fish sauce" provided was really good--not overly briny or fishy like real fish sauce! The price is pretty good as well!

As Scooby doo would say, Dee-ricious I usually get the banh mi sandwiches but today I just stopped in for some fresh rolls. Had my favourite the spicy Jicama Service is always kind and friendly and restaurant has a lovely atmosphere

This restaurant is small and cozy. Our server was extremely kind and attentive. The inside is well-ventilated and they have a QR code menu. I ordered the stir fried pho but with egg noodles. It was good and I enjoyed it, but I wish that they were a bit more specific on what was in it. It comes with hot sauce already and it has a strong taste of hoisin sauce. Overall it was quite nice and the noodles were nice and crispy. I just wish they had noted that it would be spicy and what type of vegetables they were putting in. My friend had the fried rice which was very good. The portions are very generous here. My meal came out to $21 before tip. Overall, service was great and food was not bad. Would love to come back.

I feel that the price point is actually very reasonable given the portions and quality of ingredients. A disclaimer that I've only tried their noodle dishes and not the sushi (I do like my seafood haha), but these are fantastic - rich in flavour without being overwhelmed with salt and sugar (the typical fallbacks for vegan food). Highly recommend the truffle fried rice and the Singapore noodles! The fact that the food seems to be relatively healthy (at least psychologically...) is of course a plus as well. The interior is fairly upscale, the dim lighting and elegant decor contributing to a muted but lovely ambiance. I do love a place that allows you to have a conversation at normal volumes! Service is always excellent without fail, the staff is helpful but not overbearing. A must for anyone who's vegan, vegan-curious, or simply searching for some great food in beautiful surroundings!

Believe me, the tables weren't light. The meals came to us on a cart in the order the we ordered them. We didn't have to wait long. Some reviewers complained about the loudness, but, compared to many other downtown locations, Landwers was a medium level of noise, and we were able to converse. It was not excessively busy, but if you are set on eating here, then make a reservation. I finally tried the Sinia Kebab, and it was tremendously good! It was also huge, and I had to take half of it home with me. The focaccia bread is excellent, and serves as a sort of bowl for this deconstructed kebab. My husband had his usual Cobb Salad, which he thinks is particularly well done at Landwer's. Our other dining companion had schnitzel, which came with some angel hair pasta. He enjoyed it very much. Service is, as I said above, "relaxed". If you are planning to see a concert or show afterwards, then plan ample time to allow the relaxed service to unfold (a.k.a this is not fast food!!) We had a 6:00 reservation, and we were able to make our 7:30 concert time with about 10 minutes to spare. The University location is conveniently located near Thompson Hall, the subway, and Union Station (Via Rail and Go).

You get to experience a range of flavors and techniques, though the dishes lean more toward tasting portions than filling plates. We left a bit hungry, and the pricing felt high for the amount of food. The best way to think of it is as investing in edible art--beautiful, expressive, and memorable, though not necessarily hearty.
