We visited Saigon Jade for Father's Day. Both my Father N Law and Husband got the Pho. My husband upgraded to the beef ribs pho which is quite expensive at over $21. It came out in a fancy stone pot and the noodles separate. The broth was flavorful and he loves the wide noodles. Beef was decent. Overall he said it was good but maybe too expensive. Next time he would just stick to regular pho. My sister got the pork chop rice plate and I got the chicken plate with fried rice. She said hers was pretty good and only $13.99. I loved the fried rice on mine but the chicken was super dry. Price was $17.99. At the end we also got some fried bananas at the front and that was really good. 2 for $5. Overall I like the menu variety and food taste good, but most dishes are overpriced. I would come back to try some other dishes but I don't think it would be a regular.
This place has became a family favorite. We get this every month and the same thing. The portions are huge. I love getting the com ga xa moi, with extra fried rice. HACK pour the soy sauce for the chicken over the rice as well. Service is quick. Lots of seating inside!
I've came to Saigon Jade a couple of times now and I have to say, this might be one of my go to pho spots now. The first time I had it, I actually couldn't stop thinking about it because I was genuinely surprised with how good it was. I also noticed that they are very consistent with the taste of the broth. Usually when I get pho, the broth doesn't always taste the same but here at Saigon it does. The broth is very rich and savory. I also noticed they add a lot of noodles which I love but I also wish they added more broth. The meat is also very tender, I always go with the brisket and it always tastes great. I personally like my soup to have extra green onion, unfortunately if you do ask for extra there is a charge of $2. I also recommend the egg rolls, they're packed with flavor and honestly it's just a good appetizer to have before your pho. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very spacious. Every time I've gone there's never any wait. The service has also been great, I've had maybe 1 time where it wasn't as great but it was still good. The food always comes out fresh and very hot. Overall, I love this restaurant so much and I will continue coming back!

Saigon Jade is one of the few Vietnamese spots that serves a variety of dishes that Vietnamese people eat rather than what's most palatable/sellable to the masses. So, if you're looking for something authentic and different than what you'd normally find, then definitely come here. Onto the food I ordered this particular visit. I got the bún mọc noodle soup. The broth is light in flavor allowing the pork to shine. I love chà lụan and having it in this soup was comforting and satisfying. Their phở is very good too, but don't pass up on trying their banh hỏi. The service to get your order can be a little slow during peak times, but it's worth a little bit of wait for some solid Vietnamese food. It's your pretty typical restaurant inside with plenty of seating.
I was very surprised to find such a great Vietnamese shop here in Mesa, AZ. I go out here regularly from Southern California, and rarely find a spot that wows me, especially for Vietnamese food. First and foremost, the menu is fairy large, which tends to scare me because I always think how good can the quality and taste be when there are so many options. Fortunately, I was able to brush the fear aside as the food was spot on from start to finish. Just a disclosure, if you plan on ordering the catfish, I would call in ahead, as the wait could take up to 45 minutes. The catfish was delicious and reminded me very much of traditional Vietnamese food. The crab fried rice delivered, the crab wasn't overwhelming, and the fried rice was delicious. The only not so great dish, but still good was the Vietnamese Beef Pasta. It's generic, but the meat was delicious. Overall location reminded me of other Vietnamese shops I've been too; designed to be relatively quick with food and they let you eat at your own pace and leisure. Decorations were cute.
This location is on the NE corner of Broadway and Dobson facing East. The restaurant is a large open spaced seating. It was busy and that is always a good sign. We were a group of six and I found out at checkout that 20% is automatically added as tip. This is relevant for groups because I did not find out till I was told when checking out before I could add more, thankfully. There were various persons who were involved in our table service. Someone brought water and utensils. Someone else took our order. The menu is large and there are many options. The prices are reasonable and that is a big plus. The portions are appropriate to large for their price point comparatively. We decided to choose 7 items which may have confused the kitchen as one dish was delayed significantly longer than the others (10-15) mins. We had 2 fried rice dishes which were fantastic. The chilis, fish sauce, peppers and additions were a great way to add flavor or modify your dish. Next came our 3 Pho soups and those came with cilantro and onion, while standard basil, jalapeño, sprouts, and the additions are on the side. The broth tasted a bit lighter, but not heavily watered down. Still had oils visible, star anise and traditional flavors present with more of a sweeter profile. The duck soup was rich and flavorful with noodles and a surprising crunch to contrast texture. The pork arrived after we had to ask a passing waitress for help. She delivered and told us it was missed by the kitchen. The pork was flavorful and very tender. Sorry about the picture, couldn't wait. The place was busy and while I could have asked for a discount, I think they deserve full price and mixups happen and I do not need a discount as the restaurant already offers fair prices. This was my first time here and I would give it 3.5 stars. There are a few things to change to make this place exceptional. Meanwhile I will enjoy it as being under the radar and I plan to return and try more dishes. Their staff are not exceptional in their customer service, but respond quick when asked. As with many international restaurants, one must not expect 5 star service from paper napkin restaurants. They all are working and although the processes could use a bit more organization, the food options and additions will enhance you culinary experience.
Came here last night, as our fav Vietnamese rice place closed early. I got the combo rice plate and my s/o got the shaken beef rice plate. Our food arrived after 15 min or so, not too long in wait time. I did wish my soup came out first though, so I'd have something to sip on while waiting. The shaken beef came out first, there were move veggies on the plate than actual meat for almost $18. We both felt like it was a rip off. Then my combo plate came out and it looked way better than the shaken beef plate. Both tasted good, and plates were very colorful. If we were to come again we definitely wouldn't get the shaken beef again but would the combo plate. Service was sparse and they weren't busy. Had to go up the the counter for anything extra we needed, while there were only three other tables dining in. Also the random inventory everywhere was a bit off putting too, made me wonder how disorganized it might be in the BOH too.
I came to Saigon Jade in Mesa around 11am yesterday with some friend, and even though it was already starting to get busy, we were seated after only a short five minute wait. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which set a great tone right away. We started things off with the Spring Rolls (I couldn't try them because of my pork allergy), but my friend said they were fresh, flavorful, and nicely wrapped. They ordered the special broken rice dish, he liked it but mentioned the chicken was a little overcooked. I went with the Pho Nam (well-done brisket pho). The broth could've used a bit more depth and the noodles were just slightly firm for my taste, but overall it hit the spot. By the time we were eating, the place was packed which clearly says something about how popular it is! It got so busy that tables took a bit longer to be cleaned, but the team was doing their best to keep up. Honestly, the energy in the room just made it feel like one of those local spots people really love. I definitely want to come back and try a few other dishes. Good service, solid food, and bustling vibe. Just come hungry and with a little patience it's worth it!
The restaurant is spacious and clean. Menu has many authentic Viet dishes which I like. It was hard for me to choose due to variety of options. I had bún mắm 5/5 which was fragrant and fermented. The toppings were abundant with roasted pork, fish, shrimp, fishcake, eggplants and a bed of various veggies Overall experience was great. Service was fast and attentive.
This is the first pho place I've been too that the soup itself came out hot and stayed hot the entire time.. I saw that there are a lot of dishes here that no other pho places I've seen had. I can't wait to come back here and try them.
I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience at Saigon Jade. I'm still trying to figure out what we paid for here. My aunt was served a bowl that was dirty on the outside (yes... the bowl, not just the table -- see the photo I attached). Not exactly appetizing... and she didn't eat it at all, it was completely untouched. We told the staff immediately, and instead of, I don't know.. like maybe apologizing or replacing it like a normal restaurant?.. They basically said it was our fault and still charged us for the untouched dish. So just to confirm: you can serve dirty dishes and still get paid? That is a interesting business model, I've never seen anything like it! Then they hit us with a 20% service fee, which is honestly kind of iconic considering the service was: * ignoring customers * denying what we clearly told them * and charging us anyway Like... thank you for the experience I guess??? And to top it off, after I actually ate there, I had the worst stomach ache and diarrhea. So NOT only do you pay for food you don't eat, you might also leave with a free health issue! LOVE THAT!!! As someone who is Vietnamese, this was just embarrassing. You expect better standards, better hospitality, and at the very least... clean bowls??? Overall, if you enjoy paying for untouched food, being gaslit, and risking your stomach, this is your place. Otherwise, I'd look for somewhere else to eat.
I broke out into an itchy rash immediately after leaving the restaurant!!! I went home and drank an immunity drink hoping it would help. They forgot about our table for quite sometime after sitting down, despite the restaurant being fairly empty. They finally served us water - which we had no idea the bits floating around in it were infused oranges, lemons and pineapple, until we asked. There are a couple of standard dishes. I usually like to try - appetizers and they're great for sharing. The eggrolls (Cha Gio) were delicious. They were served with small bits of lettuce, but there was no mint on the plate. I'm glad that I asked for because the girl brought me the most beautiful mint I've almost ever seen! The nguoc mam sauce was plain with no carrots or chilies in it, which was surprising? It was very sweet. Then we tried the spring rolls wrapped in rice paper (goi cuon), shrimp. They were good, there was a very small bit of vermicelli noodles in them, and a lot of lettuce inside of course shrimp as well and a thin slice of pork. We dipped them in the peanut sauce that was given to us, and there was some fried crisps on top of the sauce. The sauce was tasty!!! The main dish we shared was a Pho with chicken. Um, Not gonna lie it was Not my favorite. Could have used more broth, and the broth was so really light in flavor missing the depth of spice that I would've expected. The chicken pieces tasted really old and were dry even within the soup. They forgot about our additions plate, consisting of basil (very beautiful basil), bean sprouts, lime/lemon so we had to ask for that. The Pho definitely needed it. Took a few bites.... Never again. It's quiet inside, nothing on the walls. It's an interesting place that as we were leaving filled up people rather quickly!!!
I made my third visit to Saigon Jade recently, and I can confirm: This is a top-tier Viet spots in the area. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious! The pho is great -- the short rib pho with noodles served on the side is a favorite among my friends -- but I highly recommend venturing through the variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes! I rarely see banh canh cua (an udon crab noodle soup) in AZ, and Saigon Jade makes it SO good. The broth is flavorful, the meats are tender, and the dish is topped with a healthy amount of real crab! Their aromatic duck and egg noodles soup is another great choice. If you're planning your visit ahead of time (and have a good chunk of time to dine in with a group), I highly recommend ordering their grilled catfish! You'll want to call ahead so they can prepare it, but it's the best one I've had in the Valley. Even the smaller catfish is quite meaty yet crispy. The sauces are delicious, and there's a perfect amount of veggies, herbs, spring rolls wrappers to fill 3-4 people (more if you're getting the large). I will be back soon!! read more
My friend recommended I try Saigon Jade with my family while in town for my sister's commencement, and they were right. Saigon Jade hit all the right spot with not only having some unique Viet dishes not found on a lot of menus, but a nice vegan friendly menu for someone like me too. I had their Vegetarian Pho and a side of their vegan Egg Rolls. The pho was one of the best I've had... ever. The broth was flavorful and my bowl was loaded with so many veggies, pan-fried tofu, and even bean curd. The quality of the noodles, protein, and veg really stood out and I really enjoyed this hearty bowl of goodness. The egg roll dish came with three and they were great as well. The veg ones have a taro, glass noodle filling, and was my kind of fried appetizer. The rest of my family seemed to really enjoy their meals too so there is definitely something for everyone. Parking is available outside in the giant lot with many other Asian businesses. read more
Saw a YouTuber uploaded this restaurant so I had my family try it during our vacation in Arizona. It's on the pricier side for vietnamese food. The food was decent, nothing that stands out to where I'd need to go back. The service was lacking... a lot for when it's slow and hardly any customers. We had to get off our seats and go grab them for the things we needed which was disappointing. The restaurant was big and has plenty of seating. read more

If you are looking for great customer service and some delicious food that will put you in a food coma cause you ate to much, this is the place to be. An AZ friend introduced us to Saigon Jade and can I just say we were impressed? I'm from NorCal and San Jose has all the best Viet food to offer so I was a bit skeptical going in to try Saigon Jade but their food won me by a landslide. Bánh cuốn: honestly the best one I have eaten in years. Maybe it is just me but their bánh cuốn reminds me of the one I ate growing up in Sài Gòn with my parents. Chewy, tasty rice wrap and not too much pork stuffing. 10/10 Bún mắm: the fermented fish broth is rich and flavorful. This dish is very hard to get it right and I was impressed. Wish there were more eggplants inside. 9/10 Bánh canh cua: good portion and delicious. Just my personal taste that I wish the broth was thicker and wish they serve it with tamarind fish sauce and chinese donut fried rolls ( dầu cháo quẩy) Ambiance: family suitable and servers were friendly. Their drinks are the only minus point for me but this is really minor. 10/10 will come again and I recommend you to try Saigon Jade for some authentic Vietnamese cuisine dishes. (I have not tried other dishes from here yet so I can only speak for my examples.) read more

Decided to try a new pho spot! I will keep it brief, but this place is pretty decent! We ordered spring rolls (no pictured), chili garlic edamame, and beef pho. The only really good thing was the pho in my opinion. It has a nice fatty broth that was deep with flavor, plenty of meat, and super satisfying. The spring rolls were fine but come wrapped in plastic so that was strange. The edamame was not spicy nor had any garlic flavor, so that was disappointed. I would come back strictly for the pho. The servers were very friendly! All in all we had around 42$. Definitely come and try the pho! read more

I was excited to try this restaurant as their menu contained a lot of authentic Vietnamese dishes you don't see often at most places. Some dishes were better than others, but overall with the service it was a nice experience! I ordered the banh canh cua: a thick seafood-based soup with pork feet and pork blood cubes as well. Not everyone's cup of tea, but for me those are ingredients I really enjoy! Admittedly, I havnt eaten a lot of banh canh to have as a reference point for this one. It was tasty, but the pigs feet was a little chewier than I would like. Not bad but not sure if I would order again. My buddy ordered the vermicelli bowl with beef and he really enjoyed it. I tasted the beef and it was flavorful albeit a little salty. But maybe mixed with the vermicelli it wouldn't be an issue! I also liked that they provided fresh minced habanero as a condiment! (Unfortunately for my friend, he painfully mistook them for carrots haha) My girlfriend ordered the la nho: beef wrapped in grape leaves. This was by far the best dish at the table. Very flavorful, and very authentic. The noodles were also the perfect texture as well. I would come back just for this dish. At the end of our meal, we got a complimentary cup of Vietnamese che for dessert which was a nice touch! It was also quite tasty. Based solely on the food, I would have rated Saigon Jade a touch under 4 stars but for the overall experience I think it solidly earned this rating! read more
Kinda new? Vietnamese restaurant in Mesa! I'm glad I found this place, since I've been looking for a good Pho restaurant near by. There are plenty of parking spots, since it's located at the same area as International Marketplace. Ordered duck leg noodle soup, seafood pho, and spring roll- and they were all so good. Especially duck leg noodle soup was really yummy, the broth was flavorful, not greasy, and clear! Can't wait to try other dishes :-) read more

ABSOLUTELY love this place. Was my first time but we absolutely demolished every platter. The best part was that the prices were extremely affordable and man we were so full! Good spot for authentic Vietnamese food! Came on a Sunday at noon and there was about a 15-20m wait for a party of 3. There was a giant group that took up almost half the seating so not sure how normal a wait is. Smelled right inside of a mixture of spices and fish sauce, tables were a bit sticky, some flies buzzing around...that's when you know it's legit lol. Sanitation wise they could improve for sure... Got the beef pho combo, broken rice plate, and grilled pork skewers. The pho was good, I didn't try much but was decent. Com tam was good according to my friend. Liked that the fish sauce wasn't overly sweetened for western tastes. My grilled pork skewers were yummy but a bit over ooked! If you're new to this kind of dish, you take the rice paper and wet it, put it on your plate, then add lettuce, basil, mint, cucumber, carrots, noodles, and meat to the rice paper. By then the rice paper would have absorbed the water and becomes malleable. Roll it up like a burrito and you have a spring roll! Came with peanut hoisin sauce. The skewers do take an extra 10 minutes to come out compared to the dishes as they grill them fresh. Overall good customer service (but don't expect them to check on you, remember this is an Asian restaurant lol). read more

With the cooler weather, I've been taking advantage of the opportunity to eat soup, ramen, and pho! Bf and I had a cute lunch date around 11AM/noon on a Monday. There were several parties dining in, which seemed to be a good sign given they had only been open for an hour. We were seated immediately and given menus and pineapple infused water (which bf really enjoyed!). I ordered Pho Tai and bf had Bo luc lac (Shaking Beef) which has been hard to find in Arizona, surprisingly! The food came out promptly- the pho was a generous portion and the bo luc lac was a fair, standard portion (could have used more beef). The pho broth was good, mild, but that gives the eater the opportunity to spice/add flavor according to taste. They offer fresh noodles which I didn't get this time, but I will have to try it next time! The bo luc lac was excellent; it had the wok hay taste that can be hard to create. One of the bombest pho's I've ever had so delicious I put chili and mint leaves in mine top tier! Would definitely recommend trying their pho it's so good, also got some cream cheese wagons those were good, but the sweet and sour sauce was okay not a big fan of the sauce, just a personal preference, but other than that overall great spot! Service was okay could've been more attentive, but no worries everything was still good! One thing I will say is the Place could use a little touch up inside and cleaner bathrooms, If those things got taken care of it'd be a definite 5/5 for me! :) read more

I placed a DoorDash order from Saigon Jade. A few items were missing but mistakes happen, I get it. But I also ordered a cup of soy milk with no ice, and this is what I got for $6? So this whole time your customers have been paying $6 for a cup of ice with just a splash of soy milk? read more

My wife and I absolutely love Saigon Jade Restaurant. I've lost count with how many times we've come here and I usually try to have something different each time. The ambiance here is very casual and it can get quite busy during the dinner rush, but that just means the food is really really good and authentic. The servers are really nice and friendly, especially the gentleman that usually works in the front and takes the payments. I've recommended this place to many people and I will continue to do so. read more

I had the spring rolls and the Vegetable Delight and asked them to be prepared vegan. The spring rolls were great and I really like the peanut sauce. My server also gave me a spicy habanero paste which was so good mixed with the sauce. The vegetable delight doesn't look like anything too exciting, but the veggies and tofu were cooked perfectly and had a really nice delicate garlic sauce. The rice was also cooked perfectly. A nice touch was they add pineapple and orange slices to their water. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. read more

This is my first time dinning in this restaurant and I am here because my Vietnamese friends love this restaurant. Nice and clean environment. Service is fast. Very unique tasting! I have not seen a lot of dishes on the menu and excited to try them. New experience to different Vietnamese food. Delicious. Great food! This place is definitely in my top three favorite restaurants in the Valley for Bun Bo Hue. The flavor of their soup is always consistently perfect. We also had Bun Mam which was very delicious. The service is always friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere with soothing background music. I definitely recommend and will be back soon for more Bun Bo Hue. read more
This place is really good!! This small little Vietnamese restaurant in Mesa is doing a great job. I tried 3 things, spring rolls, Won Ton soup & iced coffee. Literally all 3 thing were top level quality (I'm impressed). I've probably tried over 100 Vietnamese spots & from a foody perspective this place ranks very high. Loved the Won Ton, it comes with Shrimp, noodles, Pork (both ground & sliced) and dumplings~ simply delicious. They bring you soy sauce, vinegar & fresh chili to add~ if desired. The spring rolls were also excellent, I would certainly order them again. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing but it's a small portion. The service was on point. So far this is my favorite Pho/ Vietnamese spot in AZ & better than most in So CA. Like I said it's a small little place located in a strip mall but if really good food is your desire this place delivers!! Foodies must try!! Happy eating! read more

One of the best hidden gem Vietnamese restaurants in the chandler area! It's very small and fits around 20 people but don't be turned off by their small size. Their service is so welcoming and their food is absolutely delicious and taste home cooked. I tried their BBH and rice rolls and they were some of the best I've tried. The soup broth was rich and spicy, filled with tender beef and well cooked noodles. The rice rolls were silky and filled to perfection. Highly recommend you stop by and try their delicious dishes. read more
