Do you know what's good pho you? PHO! I keep seeing this place and figured it was time to give it a try. Egg rolls, spring rolls, pho... Every bite delicious. Pass on the dumpling pho though. Having never seen it on the menu, I gave it a try just for funsies and while good, it's nowhere as amazing as the special pho. It's exactly what you would expect and that's on me for expecting more. But the Special Pho? It was flavors on flavors upon flavors. As for the spring rolls, spring rolls are always a good call. They're seriously one of the best foods out there. It's confined in an edible package, you get greens, you get noodles, and you get protein. Love it! Come to Pho Mai for some decent eats. Pho Mai is a bright, clean spot with good service and solid pho. The Special Pho is definitely the menu item to order. The broth is rich and flavorful, portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. Their spring rolls and egg rolls are also done nicely and make great starters alongside the pho. That said, the dumpling pho was unremarkable and didn't quite hit the mark; it felt like it had potential but ultimately left much to be desired compared to the rest of the menu. Service is friendly and efficient, and the space itself is inviting, which makes it a comfortable place to dine in. The experience with Pho Mai was alright. Now, let me start by clarifying that this was a to-go order. The ordering process and the staff were fine. They were very polite when I placed the order plus when I showed up for my pick up. The drive from the restaurant to home was only 10 minutes long. However, when I got home, the pho and spring rolls I ordered both tasted...old. The pho soup tasted too acidic (like a bunch of lime pre-squeezed into it with too much fish sauce), the spring roll skin was tough, and the peanut sauce was soupy with the layer of oil separating from the actual sauce. Please help me understand if I should not have ordered Vietnamese food 45 minutes before they close, or this is how authentic Vietnamese food actually tastes like? Should I not have ordered to-go and try to dine in instead? I have many questions. read more

The restaurant was very clean and still had a decent number of guests even later in the evening, which speaks to its local popularity. The Egg Rolls Pork - Cha Gio were delicious and crispy. One of the shrimp in the Special Vermicelli - Bun Dac Biet was not cleaned. We were greeted immediately upon entering and told to sit anywhere we liked. Super friendly staff was prompt to bring us water and take our order. We started with the combination pork and shrimp Spring Rolls, which were tasty. And we opted for the other dipping sauce (not the peanut sauce, since an ingredient in it is hoisin, which has gluten). The broth is the perfect taste; I feel like some places have too salty of a broth, but this one has always been the right level of flavour. The meat is tender, and a bowl is plenty for me. I've gotten the fried egg rolls as well, and while they are good, I'd suggest skipping it since it's only two pieces. We tried the passions it sugarcane juice, and that is DIVINE. I have been to this place in person once and it was very nice. Although me and my boyfriend decided to DoorDash some food. I got brisket pho and he got pad Thai. In the pad Thai while chewing he ended up finding TWO rubber bands in his food. This could have ended badly if he didn't notice and had swallowed it.
