When I went in to pick it up, the complete 90 day supply wasn't available, so I opted to wait for a 30 day supply. The pharmacist did not inform me that I needed to get back in the "pick up" line. I waited for thirty minutes...understanding the staff was busy. There was no notice of any type...no text, no email....hell, I was standing right there and someone could have said something. This apparent new process relies entirely on kiosks and automated notifications...there is no such thing as common sense or courtesy anymore.

It was easy to use, and much quicker than mouthing your name and DOB through a pane of glass, and sometimes, a mask, as the tech struggles to hear. In a short time my medicine was brought to the counter, I paid, and was outta there. I think this will greatly improve how quickly those agonizingly long lines move. On this occasion, there was NO line, but I think that was a fluke, as when I left I saw a line had formed. Also, I have enjoyed the CVS app, where you can leave a message for the pharmacist and get a call back with an answer to your question within a few hours. Again, much more efficient that being on hold or standing in line (again) at the consultation counter. Fingers crossed that these efficiencies hold and I am able to bump up my stars to four, or dare I wish it, FIVE! For that to happen, the prescription refill process will need to be vastly improved. The current bot is quite dim-witted. Thanks for trying, CVS.

On one hand, the wait was a bit long. But on the other hand, the wait was "long" because the cashier was helping a customer figure out their coupon situation. I guess I don't mind my minor inconvenience because the staff was really going out of its way for a customer who needed help.

Many employees either don't wear name badges or intentionally flip them backward to hide their names, which makes it impossible to identify anyone for feedback or complaints. I had an issue with a cashier who refused to give me a paper bag I had already paid for. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, she told me she was the manager--without providing a name or any way to verify her identity. She was also wearing a mask, making it even harder to recognize or describe her. When I asked for her name to file a formal complaint, she refused and instead called security to escort me out of the store. Another employee even took my items away, and the whole situation felt more like an organized effort to cover for each other than proper customer service. I want to emphasize that I did not curse, steal, or disrespect anyone--yet I was treated as if I were a criminal. This location seriously needs attention from corporate. No customer should be treated like this. It's disappointing, unprofessional, and honestly a little scary.

I don't generally blame the individual pharmacists, but seems like they are understaffed and overworked, so there's always a problem. You either wait for a really long time, hear that they haven't received your medication (when they have), or the pharmacist is burned out and rude. Recently had an issue where we needed meds urgently and they took all day to fill the prescription. When they did, they contacted me to let me know they finally filled it, but when I went to pick up the meds, they were closed and the pharmacist refused to help. That's lousy. Go somewhere else.

I was only able to get 75% of what I came for (which is typical of this Safeway) and the customer service is still poor. I get to check out register 3 around 3pm and a lady wearing no name tag doesn't greet me. No "Hi, how are you?" Nothing. She just starts ringing up my groceries and having an unprofessional side conversation with someone across multiple registers. It didn't stop during my entire check out. I asked for the cashier's name and immediately get a "Why you want to know my name?" response. Sad. I didn't waste my time arguing with her. Why bother, right? So I asked to speak to the Store Manager after I rung up my groceries. I get the Store Manager and was pleasantly surprised for a brief moment that it was NOT Tomesha Smith. Miss Smith was a deplorable Store Manager when I used to patronize this Safeway. I even saw a few mice in there during her leadership. So I explained to Store Manager Sholonda Miller what I experienced and immediately I could sense the conversation was going south. It was as if it were my fault her staff were so unprofessional and some items I needed weren't available. So I just decided to cut my losses. I even let her know I would be complaining to corporate. I won't come back here. I was only in the area getting my prescriptions across the street at CVS and decided to drop by this Safeway for convenience. Never again. In the future, I'll go to the Safeway on East-West Highway in Hyattsville, Maryland. They are MUCH more professional and well stocked.

I could not find anyone there who could communicate clearly with me about my order, prices, and insurance - at the end of the day it was so complicated, time consuming and convoluted, I just paid out of pocket and ordered online.
