Horrible communications between pharmacist and customer. I had a prescription that was unavailable when ordered by my physician, and selected the option of picking it up at a later date. When I went in to pick it up, the complete 90 day supply wasn't available, so I opted to wait for a 30 day supply. The pharmacist did not inform me that I needed to get back in the "pick up" line. I waited for thirty minutes...understanding the staff was busy. There was no notice of any type...no text, no email....hell, I was standing right there and someone could have said something. This apparent new process relies entirely on kiosks and automated notifications...there is no such thing as common sense or courtesy anymore. read more

This CVS location is clean, organized and the staff are pleasant. I came here for a COVID test and they have availability to take it via the Drive Thru. This location has a private parking lot and is next to several decent food options. DRIVE THROUGH PHARMACY ONLY** We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment. The technician was cordial and patient. She explained the process, walked my husband through it. This is the only location that had an appointment for a COVID-19 test today.as you may know know, some doctors are requiring a COVID-19 test before you come for e.g., dental work. I like this CVS because the pharmacy hours are longer than most locations, 8 am - 10 pm weekdays and 10 am to 8 pm weekends. The wait is much shorter than CVS pharmacies on Connecticut or Wisconsin Aves or Target CVS. It's close to my house, so convenient for health basics--bandaids, tissues, etc. Retail items skew to families, groceries, toys, and candy. Reasonably well stocked beauty and personal items. Retail checkout staff are always pleasant and helpful. read more

If I could zero stars, I would. Employee by the name of Nett, refused to help anyone. She only wanted to remain sitting down while opening boxes. When asked, why won't you help me, she replied, she didn't have to. read more

The staff here are generally helpful despite being consistently understaffed. Micheal and other staff in the pharmacy are very helpful. The lines are long at times due to the lack of staff but that is probably more an issue related to CVS corporate entity. The lines also are probably long as they do their best to help patients with any issues that have arisen such as insurance being changed randomly which may necessitate changing a prescription from generic to name brand or vice versa . The public sometimes needs patience and grace. read more

I was trying to arrange delivery for my prescription because I do not have a car but the website option for delivery is inoperable. After trying to call the pharmacy for over an hour and someone hanging up on me, I had to pay for a Lyft to the store. When I got there your employee Eyob made a bunch of sorry excuses saying they are really busy bc another store closed. But nothing excuses hanging up on a customer! If your phones are recorded, go check the call log on 2/1/23. Also, you should fix your website bc even Eyob couldn't process delivery on the website using my phone when he tried it. Overall, very poor customer service! I will never recommend this location. read more

I'm shocked at the inability of the location to track and fill my prescriptions. Every time I have a new prescription come in, it never shows in the app or via text, and when I or my son goes in it's either not ready and they claim to not have it. I've had to have doctors send in multiple prescriptions for the same medication. Almost missed my colonoscopy because they claimed to not have my prep (it was sent in weeks earlier). Maybe it's a fallout of the pandemic (I've heard pharmacists were hit hard) or the ridiculous war on rights (lawsuits and threats by state governments) but I've had problems with Wal-Greens and Capsule. For what it's worth I've had a couple of medical professionals tell me I might want to try a different pharmacy than this particular CVS. But again - it doesn't seem like it's limited to this location or chain. All I know is it's kinda dangerous to be this lax with medications. read more

This review is for the pharmacy and not the entire store. I called the pharmacy twice this week to ask them about the shingles shot and I had to wait for about fifteen minutes for someone to pick up the phone. When they finally did and I said, "hello", they hung up. This was the worst service I ever had and it was a complete waste of time. All that waiting for nothing! Good thing this place isn't the only one exist in DC. I rather take my service to other pharmacy than this one. read more

Seems very disorganized. Took the technician so so long to type in 4 prescriptions. I told him that only one was urgent and I could come back for the others but he didn't stop what he was doing and kept slowly putting in all 4. Then he tells me I will have an hour wait. No - i told him that I wanted 1 prescription ASAP and can wait for others! He finally got the message and filled the one after a 20 minute wait. Yikes. Then went back at 10pm on a Thursday to pick up other three prescriptions and same guy who happens to be working the drive thru says "we're closed". Yes despite the huge "open 24/7" sign out front this CVS and pharmacy has new hours so I will be going back to get the other 3 prescriptions but not for any other ones I get in the future. read more

I don't think more pharmacy staff will help this location. It's the third time I come to this location after my daughters Dr. visit. 4pm, 30 min after the prescription was sent. Waited like. 20 min to be seen. Was told to come back an 1hr after because I "had to give them time, too soon" didn't even find the order or look for it in the system. I came back at 6:50 pm, it was more packed with people. Got to the counter 7:30Pm. They couldn't find it. Said I had to give them about an hour wait. After they saw my expression and heard the tone in my voice explaining that that's what they had said at 4pm, they moved. The lady spoke to the evil cartoon looking pharmacist who looks like he can never be bothered. Idk what they did but looked like they were filling it. I was about to leave when the lady came back with something in her hand. I asked her if it was my daughters she said yes. Waived it around and then left to ask a another guy who was busy to open this for her. Dude was a b*tch. Told her no that he wasn't going to, was too busy, didn't want to, idk. All in all very unprofessional. They still had the nerve to call my wife and tell her the prescription was filed knowing damn well I was literally there and they flaunted it in my face, and didn't give it to me. How could someone have what the customer needs and waited hours for be at the register, and not ring it up. Do yourselves a favor, Don't come here. read more

I know retail staffing is an issue since COVID and I realize how this impacts efficiency. What I don't understand is why every time my doctor faxes a prescription, this place (store 1364) claims to never receives it. My doctor's office even let me watch them send the fax this time and two days later, prescription is still not received. I can understand this happening once or even twice but not 4/5 times in a year. Additionally, they have missed a few auto refills. Staff are really, really great and I have never had a negative encounter. They have always been helpful and professional and I know they are working really hard and under so much pressure, but for goodness sakes I wish they would get a new fax machine or at the very lease load it with paper or save the prescriptions to a file. There must be a better way. I've checked ratings for other CVS pharmacies in the area but it seems none of the other stores are really worth trying. read more

This review is for the pharmacy, specifically one of the pharmacists, not the store. I recently had surgery. I had about 4 prescriptions I brought there to be filled. The pharmacist had the technician tell me that he would not fill the prescription for the painkiller, because it was not on special prescription paper. BUT he was willing to fill the others. Huh?? I don't understand that. I retrieved all of my prescriptions from the technician, and took it to another CVS, where they had NO PROBLEM filling them ALL. Plus the folks at this other CVS were SUPER NICE, which I appreciated, because I was in pain. Incident number 2: My husband and I had gone to the same CVS to pick up some things before going out of town one weekend. Before leaving the store, my husband had to use the restroom, which most pharmacies do allow you the use of. I have used the restroom at this same CVS before. My husband asks to use the restroom and was told by one of the workers that he has to go to the pharmacy and ask. He goes to the pharmacy and asks to use the restroom. They then send him back up front, telling him that someone up front has to open it for him. He goes back to the front of the store, only to be told to go back to the pharmacy and ask someone back there to do it. So of course, he returns to the pharmacy to ask again, but this time the pharmacist himself (Mr. Wonderful) tells him, "We don't open the bathroom in the pharmacy! We can't do that!" With a nasty attitude and nasty voice. He got such a run around in there. He went back up front and was sent back again. Finally, someone opened the bathroom and let him use it. He was really given the runaround. This was ridiculous. Why be nasty to a customer who is being courteous to you? Why give them the runaround and refuse help? If you're a masochist and like being refused and abused by a pharmacist with an attitude problem, come here. The balding West African guy with the beard and the white jacket will fulfill all of your needs. I'll not be coming back here to do anything but buy merchandise. No more prescriptions! read more

This cvs is a mess. Their pharmacy literally gave me the wrong prescription. When I went to return it and get the correct one they said they were out if it and would special order it. I waited a week and heard nothing from them. I called the day before I needed to start it and said it had never been order and my insurance was suddenly not paying for it because the system showed me picking up the wrong prescription as my allotment and they never logged me returning it. They then put me on hold for 45MINS! It was such a headache. They were also held up at gunpoint a little while back. They're just a mess. read more

I came here twice to have a prescription filled with no luck.... Thankfully this isn't my regular pharmacy, my doctor had made a mistake and sent my prescription into the wrong cvs on Georgia Ave. Parking here is nice, there's a dedicated lot and I never had a problem finding a spot. Walk inside and you have your usual set up of cold drinks on the left with the pharmacy located all of the way to the back. On my last visit, I tried to pick up a gatorade but they were sold out. The first time I came here was with a letter from my insurance stating that I was covered for a specific medication. The pharmacist ran me up, told me that it wasn't from the correct insurer (this makes no sense as I've had the same insurance for two years and it seems rather odd for them to approve someone for a perception who isn't uninsured through them). She left a message for my doctor and told me to come back the next day. Fast forward to today when I come in once again to try and fill this prescription. A new pharmacist is working. I give her my name, she interrupts me half way through and then gets irritated when I don't finish. I try to explain the situation to her and she continues interrupting, never fully understanding that my insurance has sent a letter covering me for said medication. She tells me to call my doctor and sort it out before yelling next to the next customer in line. Service here is terrible and they have no gatorade. read more

I patronize this place because it's the nearest pharmacy to my home, and there's nothing near my office in a pretty bad part of town. The pharmacy is about as poorly run as I can imagine. i have twice been given prescriptions that were intended for someone else (same name, but come on, my name isn't that unusual). Except for the pharmacist himself (who I see there less and less frequently) no one there has any interest in customer service. They avoid eye contact while you wait in line, they have attitude when you ask for your prescription and they can't find it, they don't listen when you tell them how many you're picking up, and some of the clerks have serious difficulty speaking English. Their telephone renewal system often fails to record multiple prescriptions, they robo-call to get renewals on prescriptions that were prescribed for short term acute conditions, without the option of telling you what they are asking to be renewed. I would move my rxs elsewhere in a second if there was a place as close. read more

Use this CVS pharmacy each and every month. One nice feature is that if you sign up for reminders on meds taken monthly, they call when the prescription has renewed. Love that idea. The problem is that they are S L O W. I mean, gosh, a snail moves faster! Of late, they have been polite and professional; a new development. Will update as time progreses. read more

Waited in the drive thru pharmacy for 20 mins and no one acknowledged me although I hit the call button 4 times. We had to park and go inside. While we were waiting inside we listened to 2 people threaten legal action in front of us all while just trying to drop off a Rx. After burning an hour and a half of our lives, we got to the counter only to be told by an extremely self entitled pharmacy technician that our needs could not be met at that location even though we knew they could be. Do not ever go to this location for your Rx needs. Please trust me and go to Foer's Pharmacy or elsewhere. They will always take care of you. I'm done with CVS pharmacy! read more

After paying $11.99 for 2 pills, these jokers send me a text 2 hours later to pick up my 30-day prescription. So, I must pay an additional $5 for the copayment. Smh! When i asked him about the correct dosage for childrens motrin his reply was, look at the box on the shelf! His final answer to my question was a math formula! They should take down the consultation sign!! Hopefully prescrptions are filled by computer. read more

This store is extremely overpriced and the customer service is awful, especially in the pharmacy. I tried 3 different days to buy Sudafed from behind the counter and to get a flu shot. All of the staff is on the phone, looking down, or avoiding eye contact with customers so that they wont have to do any work. I gave up. read more

I wish I could give the pharmacy zero stars. My ordeal started out With an automated phone call saying that my prescription had expired and my doctor had not renewed it. I hung up on the call. Two days later, I received a text saying my prescription had been filled. I looked online and it showed a prescription from my doctor similar to my new handwritten one the doctor gave me. However, the prescription was wrong. It had the wrong pill size, the wrong dosage, the wrong number of pills, the wrong number of refills, and the wrong cost. As I did not authorize the pharmacy to do so, the pharmacy would have had to call my doctor to get the information on the new prescription. I. called the pharmacy and said I did not order anything. I was told the doctor called it in. This explanation did not make sense because he gave me a written prescriptions in the past and never called in a prescription. Because I did not order the prescription and it was wrong, I asked the pharmacy to cancel it and was told the prescription would be cancelled. Two days later I got another text saying my prescription was ready for pickup. I looked it up online and it was the same prescription. Because the prescription was already in the system, the person I spoke to did not understand and was in disbelief when I said the prescription was wrong and did not want it. The person said that it would be deleted. Afterwards, I looked online and it said that the prescription was on hold. I am not sure what on hold means but it doesn't sound like deleted or cancelled. At this point, I don't have the patience to try and convince someone that the paper prescription is correct and the one in their system is wrong. I would like to switch pharmacies but all pharmacies seem to be the same. I have experienced similar problems at two other national chains. I am upset because I liked the pharmacy because it was open 24 hours and just across the border into DC and was on my way to work. The thing that infuriates me more is that it order to process a new prescription they would have had to call the doctors office, without my permission to get it and in the process of doing so, they messed up the prescription. Another thing I find infuriating is that because the prescription is already in thr system, everyone just looks at the computer screen and does not understand that the prescription is wrong. read more

I just moved all of my son's medications to another chain. The pharmacy seems overwhelmed with business and therefore unable to provide good customer service. My last straw was when I called in a refill one morning last week for a 5:00 pm pick-up and was told when I arrived at the store at 9:00pm that it wasn't ready because they were busy.
