I have never felt any kind of pressure or discomfort here as a customer. The service here is top notch: the staff knows everyone by first name, they're incredibly courteous and conscientious, and if they can't fill a prescription for you they will work diligently to find a pharmacy close by who can. They also understand that insurance can be tricky and the cost of maintaining health in America presents its own challenges, so while they can't dictate the cost of medications, they try to make it as easy and as painfree as humanly possible to get what you need. They also have a solid selection of other things you might need in a pinch and are super knowledgeable about the pros and cons between different brands / products. Not to mention they also have little things like a section dedicated to the community featuring books from local authors. I respect that a lot. When people talk about the benefits of choosing smaller local businesses over bigger companies, I immediately think of places like this little pharmacy. My experience here is that they really care about their backyard and those of us who live here.

They saved the day for my family and our sick cat. I will be forever grateful for the services they provide. They were able to compound her medications into tuna favored liquid that we could squirt in her mouth or the better tasting stuff she just licked up or ate in her food. Our kitty was diagnosed with Lymphoma, the vet prescribed steroids to make her time left comfortable and suggested we get it compounded here. It was more expensive than pills were but I would pay twice what I did to not have to pill her everyday. The medication they compounded added weeks to her terminal diagnosis, and gave her a quality of life that would of been impossible without the medication. If we had not gotten the liquid we would of had to put her to sleep weeks before we did. If you have a pet that takes pills I highly recommend asking your vet if it can be compounded here, it is so worth it for you and your pet, especially if you have a cat. They will explain how to store it and administer it. The medication even came with the little syringe. I wish it was closer to my home so I could use it for my monthly prescriptions.

Also, the music isn't too loud like the other "drug stores". I don't need to listen to a concert when I'm shopping for toothpaste.

I needed to purchase things that would help me recover from an incident that left me with lower back pain. CVS usually has a lot of the everyday stuff most people need on a daily basis, usually food and other household items that are essential for daily life. My experience here at this CVS location in Annapolis, Maryland probably took no more than 10 minutes, as my friend and I looked for what I needed and checked out to do other things in the city. The store itself reminds me of the ones we have back home in Honolulu. I guess they arrange the store a certain way, so any CVS location looks all the same, no matter where you are. For the most part though, the ambiance felt like a grocery store type of vibe but not really. As weird as it sounds and the pain from my low back at the time, it was nice and enjoyable to be here trying to find the quick solution to my medical maladies. The overall experience here at this particular CVS Drug store was good and casual. CVS carries both name brand and generics, when it comes to pharmaceuticals, as well as food products and other everyday items, so that there's some disparity and the customer has some bit of choice as far as what to buy and what the prices are. I didn't think that the store itself had central air conditioning but then again, I was there in late January - winter time but balmy. It was a good visit under interesting circumstances. While I preferred to have come here for other things, it is what it is. Pain management is a real thing for many people and for me, I'm glad that CVS was there to meet my needs. This CVS location is centralized at 123 Main Street in Annapolis, Maryland. It's on the main drag of the city and near the state capitol and the US Naval Academy. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. There is mostly street parking here and luckily for me and my friend, we secured a spot directly in front of the store on a brisk Sunday morning before 9am. It was pretty cool. If Annapolis has a local bus system, you can use that to get around the city and get here if you need things. From out of town? Use Amtrak or greyhound for a cheaper alternative. If not, Uber and Lyft works too. They even kept the pharmacy open 10-12 minutes past closing to issue for my daughter (who just was released from the hospital) a much needed pain relief medication and antibiotic that cost over 98% less than what the hospital physician prescribed. I had to drive to the hospital as pharmacy closing time approached since phone connection to a physician there was unreliable, and the information Michael gave me (missing diagnostic code) for insurance prescription reject spurred immediate action at the hospital nurse station, ultimately leading to pharmacist Paul's persistent phone interaction with hospital physicians to resolve yet another problem. 5 star service!

This CVS has been understaffed too long. There are always long lines. They do not automatically fill new prescriptions sent from my providers. They missed running a new prescription through my insurance which cost me $80. At the time, I assumed the rx was a brand name and not covered since the other two prescriptions I picked up at the same time had a $0 co-pay. The next time I picked up that same RX that I paid $80 for, it was covered in full and there was nothing I could do to be refunded for the previous prescription. Recently I picked up another Rx that was truly not covered but they showed no interest in checking for the best discounted amounted. I declined the rx and found it Amazon for 1/6 of the cost at CVS.
