This has been my pharmacy for over a decade. As a transgender woman, I'm sure you can appreciate that navigating healthcare in the United States can be difficult and I need to put my health in the hands of people with empathy and understanding versus closed minded people who are living in the past. I have never felt any kind of pressure or discomfort here as a customer. The service here is top notch: the staff knows everyone by first name, they're incredibly courteous and conscientious, and if they can't fill a prescription for you they will work diligently to find a pharmacy close by who can. They also understand that insurance can be tricky and the cost of maintaining health in America presents its own challenges, so while they can't dictate the cost of medications, they try to make it as easy and as painfree as humanly possible to get what you need. They also have a solid selection of other things you might need in a pinch and are super knowledgeable about the pros and cons between different brands / products. Not to mention they also have little things like a section dedicated to the community featuring books from local authors. I respect that a lot. When people talk about the benefits of choosing smaller local businesses over bigger companies, I immediately think of places like this little pharmacy. The owners and employees are nothing short of amazing! I use them for my own prescriptions and what I can get covered for my parents. We were in a bind when my father was discharged and needed a very expensive medication. Not only did their regular, retail pharmacy not have it in stock but would have paid hundreds of dollars, whenever they could get it. Arnold had it in stock as part of a donation program and we got it that night at no cost. Thank you to the person that kindly donated this to our family as well. The staff are all very helpful, and if there is another customer at the counter, often a pharmacist will call me over to the side counter, getting us all taken care of faster. I'm not in a hurry when I go pick up my cat's prescription, but it's nice for the sake of COVID safety. I also really like the selection of over the counter medicines etc and the ease of proper disposal of expired meds since I have been decluttering and organizing. read more

The staff is so friendly and helpful at Arnold professional pharmacy, I get all my vaccines and prescriptions filled there. I have never written a review ever but my experience today was so awful I couldn't let it go. I have always loved this place and thought they were helpful but, I had a terrible experience today. I was asking a question to the lady at the register helping me about my prescription, and another blonde lady not even wearing a pharmacy outfit started yelling from the back about my question. She was very rude and unhelpful, and I don't know if I'll want to return back here after today. After being told at another pharmacy my son's prescription would take almost a week I decided to give this place a try. I didn't try it originally because they don't have a drive thru which makes things easier for me with kids. I had a great experience! They were friendly and helpful and filled my Rx in 10 minutes while I waited. They even take TRICARE which is awesome. I drive all the way from Fort Meade to have my medicines filled here. This is the only pharmacy I have been to where everyone is extremely polite, my medicines are always filled in less than 10 minutes (usually 5), and the owners are kindhearted, devoted, honest local people. I just don't understand some of the other ratings on here unless they have mistaken the name of the shop. There is NO way this pharmacy deserves anything less than 5 stars. When you walk in you see pictures of local history and are greeted with an immediate hello. The owner displays local written work on the counter, along with a local lip balm (which is the best lip balm I've ever used), they keep their probiotics refrigerated, and they sell anything you could possibly need. The one day I brought my son in the owner gave him free candy and talked to him about his day at school. My son left with the biggest smile on his face and still has fond memories of his visit. Also, if on the very rare chance they cannot fill the entire order, they will deliver the rest to your home! I've never been to a pharmacy like this, and though it's a bit of a distance for me I will always continue to use and appreciate their services. 5 stars all the way! read more

Better customer service is often my main motivation when seeking out small, local businesses. It's difficult for me to sacrifice the convenience of larger chains when I can't find a small, local substitute that provides great service. I moved to the other side of the Severn River (to Annapolis) and I still use this pharmacy. The stellar level of service provided by Arnold Professional Pharmacy more than makes up for the longer-than-necessary drive across the Severn River Bridge. The entire staff is prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Recently, my insurance changed. When I went to refill a prescription, the staff member found out that the new insurance provider required pre-authorization (proof of medical necessity) before filling the prescription. Without having to ask, she immediately sent the necessary forms to my doctor and obtained the pre-authorization. In the meantime, they filled the prescription and billed me the full cost of the prescription. The very next day I received a call from the pharmacy to let me know that the pre-authorization had gone through and they had placed a credit on my account for the portion that was covered by insurance. That kind of uninitiated follow up is so rare these days. Yeah, a CVS was just built across the street, but if you live in the area there is absolutely no reason to use any pharmacy other than Arnold Professional Pharmacy. read more

They are so sweet, and will find the best prices on medications for you even when your insurance isn't helping. This place is amazing. They deliver with no fees and no hassle. The driver has brought medicine in anticipation of snow storms, holidays, etc, no problem. We moved, forgot to change the address, called the pharmacy, and medicine was here two hours later. You would be dead in Walgreens and CVS drive through by the time your medicine was ready. Want to change your address at CVS or Walgreens? By the time you get a live person on the phone to change your address, your medicine will have expired and then they'll tell you it's not in the system next time. The pharmacy when they first started was great. As they have grown the atmosphere has changed. They are not friendly, there are no smiles. Example: the greeting I typically receive : "last name?" There is little communication on delay of prescription readiness. And HIPPA is not followed here, they want you to yell your date of birth and name from the back of the line. I don't understand the negative reviews of this business, especially one from the west coast. I prefer (and use) this pharmacy over the mail in supplier my insurance prefers me to use. It's a little more expensive because big pharma is in cahoots with the insurance companies and will only allow the large mail order pharmacies to fill 90 day supplies, while the small customer oriented stores like this one are only allowed to fill 30 days worth. To me being able to go to the pharmacist and ask a question is well worth the minor issue of only getting 30 days and paying a little more. The people in here are always extremely helpful and friendly. I do agree with one critique however regarding birth dates. DOB is PII, and it should be asked for discreetly. Do not use this pharmacy!!! The pharmacist is nasty, unprofessional and a danger especially to older patients. The owner of this pharmacy only cares about money not the patients. This is the best pharmacy around. The people are so very nice and helpful. Here's my story. My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and there are a laundry list of medications. Trying to help out my Grandma I would take her to pick up her medications. Neil always remembered us and always made sure we were taken care of, every time.
