" Once inside another customer who was told the same, watched as the staff member proceeded to leave for the day. Very rude pharmacists and pharmacy assistants. They scream and yell at customers and obviously just hate their jobs. I was spoken to inappropriately on numerous occasions. I am So over it. Why do they get angry if I come in at least 20 minutes before closing time? I was scolded that I have to come in much earlier because they're about to close. What? Get some workers who can speak to people in a decent, polite manner. Put away the patronizing, condescending angry tones of voice towards customers who just want to pick up our medications in peace. Arnold CVS pharmacy on Richie Highway is rather disappointing. Unfriendly staff with a bit of attitude. One or two friendly faces but forgetting about them trying to work with you because they missed the memo that you now can have your license on your phone. How is it that you can legally drive, get through TSA to fly but you can't pick up your own medication because they don't know how to use the app ? If you use them make sure you have plenty of patience and give yourself plenty of time and hopefully you go home with what you need. The folks at this small CVS pharmacy have been very polite and helpful to me. The 2 pharmacists I've had experience with, both Jimi & Chad, are very helpful, personable, friendly & knowledgeable. I get all of my regular prescriptions here. I have had vaccines here, picked up prescriptions both in store and in the drive-through. Sometimes there are lines but they move and as long as people are friendly and patient, everything is pleasant. Today I was there to pick up a prescription just before 2 (they are closed for lunch 1:30-2:00 pm) and the person in the car behind honked at me. Then, after 5 minutes, they left. Honestly, sometimes folks have unrealistic expectations for the time things take, and expect things instantly. The store itself is clean. Sometimes certain stock is low, but they will tell you when it is expected in. I will continue using this store because of its very convenient location. I think the pharmacy is functioning more efficiently in the 5 years that I've been using it. read more

Bottom Line: This brand new CVS just opened mid-November and offers all the normal stuff one can expect from a drug store in a clean and bright atmosphere. Hooray! I am so excited to have a brand new CVS in the neighborhood. In addition to making trips here for prescriptions and OTC medicines, I love doing a little impulse shopping for candy, cards, nail polish and other stuff I surely don't need. This new store is clean and uncluttered. The pharmacy is located in the back right hand corner or you could just cruise through the drive through. I sent this to my HR department: All, I figured you should be aware of difficulties I have been having with the CVS Pharmacy in Arnold Maryland. We are having the following issues: New prescriptions being randomly cancelled for no reason Prescriptions not being refilled Refusal to refill an existing prescription that has multiple refills and an expiration date of April 2022. This last one had the pharmacy supervisor screaming at me when I went in for a refill on 10/10/2022. I showed him the refill bottle and he refused to fill it until I demanded he honor the refill As a diabetic I've been told that my metformin is not available and I had to wait 10 days for it My wife just under went complete knee replace surgery. Her pain medicine prescription was dropped off and it took them over six hours to not fill it. When I went to pick it up the prescription, I was told by the pharmacy supervisor that it wasn't filled, and that it wasn't covered by our insurance. I was told I had to pay full price, which was $180.00 , to have it filled. Having no real choice I agreed and then he told me I couldn't have it. After repeatedly pressing the matter I finally got it at the insurance price. I have filled a complaint with CVS Corporate Pharmacy. They promised to look into it and get back with me within 48 hours. That was on 1/17/2022. They never did. I have no expectations that they will or that this matter will be resolved. The problem seems to be with CVS operations and the pharmacy supervisor. I now have to go to another CVS Pharmacy which is over 10 miles away. It's unfortunate that we are forced to use only CVS when there are three other quality pharmacies within two miles of my home. CVSs quality of service is degrading fast. I signed up online for COVID test online. It was the earliest I could get. Patient First was available the following day. I arrived 10 minutes early. Waited in line. Pulled up to the window at my scheduled time And was done in 5-10 minutes. Much quicker then my previous 3 at Patient First. Difference is that the nurse at Patient First does the swap and at CVS you do everything yourself in you car at the drive thru. read more

This CVS pharmacy has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They say they are understaffed, but I've never seen less than four people behind the counter there. The staff has the worst attitude and are clearly miserable to be there. I have now gone twice today to pick up prescriptions for my daughter with pneumonia and both times I get "we are still working on them" and told to come back later. I understand that there are national healthcare worker shortages, I work in the healthcare field. But this CVS was at best a halfway decent pharmacy before covid, now there are even longer waits and worse customer service, if that were possible. I've waited two weeks for them to fill my Rx. My husband went to pick up some of his prescriptions and asked for mine as well. They just waved him off and said they were still working on mine. So, I called a few days later and waited on hold for 45 mins before I couldn't wait anymore. I went into the store that evening, drive thru window is closed and has been for weeks, there were about 15-20 people in line and the staff were arguing with one another as well as arguing with customers that had been waiting. They never apologized for the wait, just seemed generally pissed that we were all there to pick up our prescriptions. I hope they get some help and maybe some customer service training. read more

I went to get my second shingles vaccine at the Arnold, MD CVS on Ritchie Hwy, and had the tall male Pharmacist, approximately 35-45 years old, administered the shot to me on 12/31/2020. WARNING!!!!! DO NOT HAVE HIM GIVE YOU A SHOT!!!!! He came out, was unfriendly, barely said "hello", swiped my arm, then proceeded to JAB the needle into my arm extremely hard and the needle went straight to my BONE!! I screamed with pain. He did not apologize or explain, just put a bandaid on me and walked away. My arm continued to ache, like the needle was still in my arm, for about 50 minutes after the shot was given. My arm was so sore for the next 3 1/2 days. It was NOT the vaccine that caused pain, it was the Pharmacist hitting my bone that was the cause of pain. When I went to sleep. I couldn't even turn a little bit on that arm for 3 nights. Unreal. Shame on him. He should recuse himself from giving shots. read more

I can't tell you the amount of times I have gotten incomplete prescriptions. One of the times I called them and they casually said "sorry you can come back anytime to get the rest of your prescription." Well I went back a few days later...using the drive thru and of course the prescription was not there. The reason being "I never picked up the prescription so we removed it." Then they told me to come back in 10 minutes. The pharmacist started to close the drive thru window right in my face!! First of all..I'm not going to come back in 10 min. I just love going into a brand-new CVS. Everything is fully stocked with friendly new hires. This CVS is of the usual design with beauty & personal care products on one side and everything else on the other side. The pharmacy is located in the back which is convenient for those opting for the drive-thru service outside. It was an unusual sight not to see cigarettes being sold at the front counter. Instead, there are signs there for smoking cessation. I'm thrilled that there's a CVS closer to work! Now, I just remembered something. I don't recall seeing a Redbox there. The young lady working the window in Arnold, Md (between the hours of 5:30 & 6:20) is rude. I asked to confirm the cost of my prescription (since my prescription fee is usually $15) after she said it was "655". I wanted to make sure that it was $6.55 and not $65 dollars. She then said "Its $600." I guess that was supposed to be funny. When I prepared to drive away she said "Good luck." Get your employees some customer service training. How about realizing that people are trying to confirm charges before paying with their credit card? Plus, don't say anything if you can't give a polite customer goodbye such as "Bye' or "Have a nice evening." This was after I called the store to confirm that the prescription was ready once I got a text that it was prepared. A female informed me in a condescending tone that when I got the text it was ready. Twice before today that was not the case. If your staff is going to act in an imperious manner they better be on the ball. read more

Store #3043 (Arnold, MD) at approximately 1300 on 11/29/17. The actual quality and quickness of the passport photo process was great. But, the customer service associate told me that she could not scan a coupon from my phone. Once I got home, I read the instructions and realized she just needed to type in a code to apply the discount. She was not very personable as someone that works with customers should be, and initially her conversation with another employee seemed to take priority over tending to the customer. Prescription electronically sent to Arnold CVS, 1500 Ritchie Hwy. I go to pick it up 3 1/2 hours later & 2 of 3 filled. Will be 10 mins. 10 mins later I'm told it'll be 20 more minutes because the pharmacist is in a meeting. So how long does it take to fill 3 prescriptions? Has the pharmacist been in a meeting all day & no one gets medication till that meeting is done? Said I'll take the 2 that are done. No, I can't have any until they're all done. It's simply medication for bronchitis. Not pain meds. Completely unacceptable that 3 medications could not be filled in 3 1/2+ hours. Had they filled the order in its entirety to start with I have to think this would not have caused this problem. UPDATE: husband arrived at CVS at 6pm & the last prescription has STILL NOT BEEN FILLED!! I don't understand how you fill 2 of 3 for that many hours. It wasn't out of stock & just came in. read more

This pharmacy is very good usually. My only complaint is to make sure whoever is working the morning shift is a morning person. It's not a great experience picking up your medication in the morning from someone who clearly doesn't want to be there that early. read more

I dropped off a prescription at this CVS location and when picking up was charged an exorbitant amount. When questioning the pharmacist she assured me that the prescription had gone through my insurance which led me to believe that CVS was within my coverage network. The next day I called my insurance company and they informed me that CVS was no longer in my network (a recent change) and this pharmacy never put my prescription through. I called this location to let them know of the circumstances, that I had been misinformed by their staff and extremely overcharged, and was basically told that since I paid, signed for the rx, and left the store, it was not their problem. Being in a customer service industry, I was shocked with how they handled this situation. The right thing to do is to advise your patients up front whether your an in-network pharmacy for them prior to collecting their payment and secondly, advising patients that you are running their prescriptions through their insurance when you are in fact not doing so is deceitful. I live in the neighborhood and with 2 kids did frequently shop at this CVS. After this recent experience, my family won't be back. read more
