Safe Lube Plus helped me after every Jiffy Lube was closed and Tires Plus said "We have some things to do before we close." I called them in front of the Virginia Street Tires plus and asked if I were to drive there now, would they be able to correct my overfilled oil. I had my one year old son and wife and was just trying to get up the mountain to my house before mnt rose turned into an icy death trap. I had groceries in my trunk and my son was. . . Well he was a one year old if you know what I mean. I also had just spent $130 getting that oil and a new battery. I was a little pissed. James answered the phone and said come on down, I will take care of you myself. He met me right as I pulled up. Checked that It was me, then said "don't worry about getting out of the car. This will be super fast." We pulled in and and he was done in a flash. One of the other workers came by and showed me they got my oil exactly on the full line to make sure I knew it was 100%. I asked James how much I owed him and he said "don't worry about it. I've got this." I said are you sure, slightly blown away. He said "Of course, it's what people are supposed to do right?" I said no. Nobody does that. Even if it was a small fee, he saved me money after I spent a good chunk already! It meant the world to me and my small family. We live on the mountain but we really shouldn't. Money is VERY tight and it's things like this that make a huge difference in getting through the day. Needless to say I will drive past every jiffy lube and every other service station to get to this Safe Lube Plus. James was incredible! read more

I trust and value the people at Safe Lube! They have made every single visit a pleasure. Very quick and kind! I have come here for every oil change since I heard about them. Thank you for all of your amazing work! read more

Just passing through to get my oil changed. I love how these guys are personable and are upfront with everything. Kinda neat how you chill in your car while they inspect your car and let you know anything and everything that's going on. It's a busy spot so they must be good :) read more

I love bringing my car here for an oil change. They are so quick and polite! They also can do your smog check. Go online and get the $5 off coupon before heading over! read more

Great spot normally--only one employee wearing a mask and was wearing it upside down, plus didn't cover nose. Wouldn't bother me that much because they are outside, but they do pop their head into your window to talk to you, handle your credit card, and paperwork. So I'd rather just have them not do that. I understand mask wearing or using soap/hand sanitizer may not be required for your business, but some customers may prefer that you do. I certainly would--so just a message for customers that care about covid-this business is not taking many precautions. read more

I have been meaning to write a review on this business for a while. I have been taking my car there for the past several years for oil changes, smog checks, registration, and other repairs. The people that work there excel in good service. They are always friendly and polite. They are also very helpful and have given me good advice on my older vehicle many times, even though they could have sold me a more expensive product or service. They are the best!!! read more

Love this place! Very quick, just drive over the bay yourself, never even get out of the car while they do the service. Friendly and very affordable for oil changes, transmission flush, coolant flush. read more

What's important to me for a service business like this is quality and value. Safe Lube delivers on this. How you do that consistently relays on good management. Tim has been there 16 years and will see to it things are right. All the guys there have a good attitude. I'll definitely be back. read more

Saw this place as I drove off the freeway when I was a little behind on my oil change (5k miles) and decided to give it a try. As I drove into their lot and began service, one of the staff started a conversation with me. First of all, I thought it was really cool that I got to sit in my car during the oil change, and secondly it was really pleasant to have someone to talk to during the wait. And before long (I think it was like 10 minutes or less), the entire process was all done. I remember waiting a minimum of 30 minutes for my past services, long gone are those days after finding Safe Lube. The only slight downside is the price, it is not on the cheap side. But I would rather pay more for reliability. And also I wish someone had told me that there was a $5 off coupon on their website, as I would have appreciated that. All in all, highly recommend this place! read more

Awesome service! Fast, friendly, great staff. Brought the subaru in for an oil change and left with a smile. We will definitely be back.

Good group of guys very communicative make sure your taken care. Come here if you like to see your vehicle taken care of.

Technician "DC" was sarcastic and rude, but worst of all put SIX quarts in an engine that clearly said on the dipstick FOUR quarts. Did not check air filter and coolant that both needed service. Put 38 lbs of air in new tires that call for 32 lbs. Manager Wayne was equally sarcastic, "do you want me to drag him out and beat him in front of you? I know he is a smart ass but he is our best employee" Really, this guy is your BEST? He also said "we made a mistake" but did not apologize and was confrontational and defensive. Told I did not deserve compensation for a second trip in to remedy, BAD. Reading a dip stick should be a bare minimum, professionalism and being nice would be a new thing to learn in how to treat customers. Attitude comes from Manager down clearly. DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE. read more

I found Safe Lube on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. I'm very pleased that I did; I'm not kidding when I say I have never been treated better when getting an oil change. The staff greeted me promptly, were very friendly and professional, they updated me on every step, and when they found I was missing an air filter, they promptly ordered one from and auto parts store and had it installed quicker than if I had driven there myself. And, there was no markup on the air filter. The price is great, service is quick, and I love that I get to stay in my car and watch them work. Highly recommend for all the right reasons. read more

My 1st experience with Safelube wasn't good, I even left a star review. But I gave them another chance months later..... and now go no where else. You don't have to get out of the car. They're faster and cost less than that other j place. I recommend safelube to my friends and even strangers if the subject of oil changes come up. read more

Good Customer service went in 10 minutes for a smog check with a fair price highly recommended to family and friends found my car a bestfriend. read more

This was my 2nd year getting both smogged and re-registered for my Mini Cooper. The whole crew is pleasant and efficient and fast !! They not only advised me of a low level of Transmission fluid, but looked up who carried the proper fluid for my car and called Napa Auto to make sure they had some in stock before sending me there. It is a pleasure to mention and recommend their services. read more

Since I read these reviews I wanted to see if they were accurate so i went today to get an oil change and smog check. Its was fast, easy and the guys were nice. They replaced my filters, did a check over my engine, changed the oil in about 15 minutes. They submitted my smog fee and everything was taken care of. It was easy. No complaints. Everything looks good so far... read more

I've been going to Safe Lube for years and will continue to do so. The guys are always very nice and their services are super quick. They always offer a cold water bottle when you wait for your service which is nice in the heat we've been having. They've never offered me unnecessary services but make sure to let me know if something needs attention. I recommend Safe Lube! read more

These guys are great. I always come here for an oil change. And, because my car leaks oil, I get free top offs until my next needed oil change! I work some crazy hours and I don't have time to waste, these guys are fast and really friendly. I will never go anywhere else!! read more

Wow! extremely quick and very professional. I was dreading doing an oil change, the other places around that area take what seems like forever. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I will definitely go back. Thank you Safe Lube if I could give you more stars I would. read more

I pulled into the parking lot by safe lube and saw a friendly smile. I asked if there was a place where I could get my tires filled with air. The man who greeted me said just pull in and we'll get you all fixed up. It was such a relief. I was trying to figure out how to put air in my tires during the time of the coronavirus. I tried to figure out the air machine at the gas station. I wasn't sure how to use it and whether I was going to have to "mask and glove up" to go into the gas station office to find out what to do. I am one of the more vulnerable people of our population so getting air in my tires was concerning me. I am very grateful for the help of these fine people during this difficult time. read more

These guys are the absolute best! Friendly, fast and professional. I have been going here for awhile. Today I got an oil change, smog and registration and still got back to work with enough of my lunch hour left to write a review. You can see everything they are doing and the staff are completely open about what the associated costs will be. They truly won't try to sell you anything you don't need. I totally trust the staff here. I won't go anywhere else for my car care. Thank you guys! read more

First time trying them and it was great. Felt very confident in their ability. I appreciated staying in my car and watching the monitors as they worked. I will return. read more

This place is awesome. The techs are super friendly, and more importantly they genuinely care about the customer. I look forward to coming back, thanks for the great service guys! read more

This place is amazing, I pretty much learned there is no other place to go for an oil change. All the guys were really nice and they did not try and sell me something I didn't need. Up front about the price, gave me a cold bottle of water while I waited and you don't even need to get out of the car, its drive through service. I was in and out of the place in less than 30 minutes. Thanks guys, keep up the amazing work! read more

This place is the best place to get an oil change or just to get your car looked at. They are extremely knowledgeable and caring. They aren't pushy. Richard was the one that helped me last and he went over and beyond. Thank you to all the staff. You all are friendly read more

These guys were great. I was in-and-out in less than 20 minutes. Very straight-forward staff who are courteous and attentive. There were no up-sell techniques to get you to purchase more services than you need like I had previously experienced at Jiffy Lube earlier in the day. Just direct, honest, down-to-earth service. Highly recommended. read more

Easy. Painless. $63 for an oil change, front and rear windshield cleaning, and extra air for tires. No annoying upsells, and everyone worked fast. read more

Best customer service ever!!! Just wow you guys are amazing at what you do. Thank you

For an oil change you are getting your money's worth. Friendly service they don't try to sell you on more. 40$ roughly for oil change and they have a coupon online if you print out you get 5$ off. They also cleaned my windshield and checked out my tire pressure. A real hidden gem of Reno. read more

I moved here from San Diego over a year ago and this is the ONLY place I get my car worked on. The guys here are so friendly and knowledgeable I don't know why you'd go anywhere else. Last time we were there Cuo worked on our Navigator and had it done quicker than I ever expected. The prices are the best in town and we honestly love coming here. Thanks again guys for all your hard work!!! read more

These guys are wonderful! They had my car in and out in 10 minutes; I didn't even have to get out. They were friendly, and very efficient. I've never been so pleased with an oil change before. Got to hang out in my car while my windows are washed and my car is taken care of. Super nice people to top it off! Win.

Can't say enough great things about this place. I finally found a forever home for my two vehicles. Everyone that works here seems genuine and knowledgable. I work on my vehicles as much as I can, myself, so I know what's going on for the most part, and the crew that runs this place are honest and hard working. You're in great hands here, and I feel the advice I get is great/sound advice. This place isn't looking to offer extra services that your car doesn't need, like so many others that give mechanics a bad name. I've had a ton of work done on my vehicles here and haven't gone anywhere else since I found them. Many of my coworkers come here to get their vehicles serviced as well (a couple I referred and some that just coincidentally use Safe Lube too). I've used quite a few mechanics around town and there are some good ones out there (and some terrible ones) but none compare to this place, honestly. I don't see myself using anyone else unless I need a rare specialty taken care of that they couldn't help me with. Give this crew a try and see for yourself, if you're new here. read more

All I needed was a quick oil change at the right price, no BS and no added services/newly discovered "problems". that's exactly what I got PLUS friendly service. Glad I found this place. read more
