I was turned away by another smog place a few days ago because they did not want to deal with getting to the spark plug on the van engine because you need to go through the inside of the van, they said I should take it to my mechanic, really? for a smog? This was the first time I ever needed to have a van smogged so really did not know any better. Thought I would try one more place a few days later (a Sunday after camping, the day my registration was running out) and they were great, my 94 passed with flying colors. I was very nervous thinking about getting an oil change on my BMW since this was my first one. My car was telling me it was time! This place was recommended to me by my friend, so I decided to take the plunge and drive on over there. They told me since its a BMW I need to make an appointment, however since they had an open bay they could do it. Everyone was very friendly. The did a great job and even washed my very dirty windows from the snow! The price was reasonable as well for a BMW. I am very satisfied and will be bringing my car back every time it needs an oil change or something else. My husband who usually does the oil change on his truck, will be bringing it there now! Not only is this the only place in town that's ever been recommended to me by a mechanic friend, but they don't try to sell you on what you don't need. At the same time they take excellent care of you and alert you if anything does need to be taken care of. This is very important for someone who's not mechanically inclined like me. Went in for full service and also have them change my rear differential fluid had a service tech come out ask what I needed done told him and he responded telling me the rear differential was $30 extra I told him that's fine about the same when I had it done the last time. Then Tim the general manager who I have been changing my oil with for many years comes out and tells me my rear differential will be $120.00 I responded telling him that that's not what I paid last time, and he responded with a raised tone saying, o here we go now your an expert on our pricing so I asked him what his problem was and why he had an attitude with me got no response so I told him fine I'll take my business somewhere else and to delete all my stuff from his company computer, he said fine get the fuck out of here we don't need your business anyway!!!. Good, honest, locally owned oil and smog shop. Was amazed at how quick they had me in and out. Spent around 7 minutes total at the shop and did not even have to leave my car. Wiped off the front and rear windshield and even filled my wiper fluid for free. Would highly recommend this shop. The only downside was that i got to work about 45 minutes early due to thinking it would take much longer for the oil change. Thanks Tim & crew. read more

My air control panel has not been working for months and I brought it in to get diagnosed. I am a bit tight for cash as I am moving soon and I brought my car in expecting to pay a pretty penny for repairs. It was a quick wait to learn that my control panel itself needed to be replaced and to buy a new one would cost a ton of money. The mechanic was kind enough to suggest cheaper methods of replacing it and found the best way to fix the problem without it costing an arm and a leg. I will come here again before I move and will miss it when I'm gone. Highly recommend. read more

The smog had only one technician, outrageously high prices on the smog itself. they made us wait in the sun for over 25 minutes (how does the car in front of us take that long when ours was 6-8 mins tops) after their 25 minute smog with us in the sun and our child baking in the sun. They did a bit more chit chat- (Thank god for AC) finally the time came, they drove in our car, the technician Richard was very apologetic for the wait and gave water to us. Didn't charge us for the smog because our car needed a few more tests to pass, he gave us really great information on how to get the correct reading. Told us to come back and they wouldn't charge us for the retake either. However at first I was insanely dissatisfied and think their prices aren't great. I think once they were assisting me, they did everything they could to turn it around. So, bravo. Ps. I never write reviews. :) read more

I used this place since 2000 for two vehicles in my household. The last several times, it seems like the customer service in general has gone downhill. I used to get a coupon on the mileage sticker that they would put inside your windshield. Now they only do the online coupon, which means I cannot spontaneously decide that I am in the area and have a little time to service my car. Last fall I had just moved and had to wait a couple of weeks for my internet service. I could not get a coupon and they refused to allow me to have the discount. The last time I required service, I decided while on was in town doing other errands, plus I needed to register my car. I have their number in my phone so I called first to see if I could register my car while I was there. The answer was "Yes". So I drove from Damonte Ranch to N. McCarran and pulled in for service, they started my work, I asked them about the coupon (nothing ventured, nothing gained) they said no, of course. I told them I needed to register my car. and they said I needed to pull over to the smog bay when I was done. I said that I don't need smog. So they said then they couldn't register my car. I wish they had said that before I drove completely out of my way. The manager came over and asked what the problem was, it was Tim, which is what I thought the man had said when I called, but he emphatically said that it wasn't him that told me they could register my car, and seemed to think I was lying, I guess. I looked at my phone to verify the time that I called. He was only to be interested in arguing the point with me than any concern that I had come there in the first place. He was so rude, I mentioned that I have been coming here for many years and I simply won't be back. He absolutely did not care. My service seemed to be cut short and no one mentioned anything about the condition of any of the service points that they used to address. Shortly after my visit, I was low on coolant. This should never have happened and as far as I am concerned, they owe me coolant since I paid full price for my service and didn't get it. Not going back. I'll find another service provider, they're not the only gig in town. It used to be convenient, they used to care. Keep your damn coupon. Oh, and I notice that Tim is a snotty little bully from his other remarks. He doesn't seem to actually take any responsibility. Some customer service, I hope your employees aren't learning from your bad manners. read more

Incredible service. Ice cold water while I waited on a warm summer day. Cleaned the windshield, replaced a running light I didn't know was out (they noticed it when I pulled up), and changed the oil in a matter of minutes. I've gone there for the last three years. Although they seem to miss things like greasing the fittings, etc, it was never a really big deal until recently. The last visit they broke two plastic retaining nuts on the front of the vehicle, did not mention that the battery terminals were corroded, and were so lazy they drained the oil all over the skid pan. This was the thing that erk us most. Having to smell burning oil dripping oil in the driveways for 3 DAYS! Last I checked I paid them good money to do their job as professionals, not a backyard mechanic. I will never return and I encourage everyone else to avoid unless you want a huge headache! read more

I was super impressed with this place. They are super quick and very reasonably priced, even for synthetic oil. I went there thinking I was going to have to wait but I pulled right in. They did the whole service while I remained in my Escalade. They washed my windows, and topped off all my fluids and I was there about 10mins. They aren't pushy like other places are, and I appreciated the service so much, I've already recommended them to several of my friends and family members. They were equally impressed. This was a 5 STAR place! I normally get my smog done elsewhere, but every time my wife and I bring our cars for oil change, they really give an outstanding performance. Like the best service I may have ever recieved. So, even though my smog was going to cost $10 more than my normal place, I wanted to give Tim the business. But, when I went, I had a $5 coupon to be printed out from their website and since its 2015 and my whole business is digital, without printers, I digitally cut the coupon and attached it to send to them via email as I waited. I was told that it had to be "printed" and that they wouldn't print it from their email. This is not the employee's fault. This is directly due to poor knowledge of the digital age on the owner's part. You really ought to let your guys know that they can accept the coupon if someone goes through all of the trouble to digitally print and email you. Shoot, we are even saving you garbage to collect. I rate the team here high because of the value, but more importantly, the great customer service. They don't try to sell me things I don't need, take care of my concerns, and go beyond what the other lube places do to make sure I am satisfied with their service. For the money, great service, great people! They show me the oil dip stick and prove the oil level to me. They point out all of the lube points on the underside of my vehicle. If i had a choice i would give it NO STARS this is the WORST place in Reno I have been there over 10 times and to think I live in California but every time i go visit i go there but this last time I went for an Oil change and when me and my family were driving home the transmission started to act up so had a rough drive home comes to think of it when i get to San jose i take it to the shop and the mechanic said someone intentionally messed with the transmission which i never had problems with and why i know its someone at the oil change place. i will have an attorney look into this .
