Our experience at Sadies was ok. The service was average. The portions are quite large. We had been there once before, so we knew to share. They were quick in getting us seated, but slow to take our order. We wanted to have a knife fight, but there were only 3 knives. My brother had to use his fork. We ordered sopapilla sliders with chicken. The sopapilla part was good, but the chicken was bland. We ordered green chili and it was very spicy! Unfortunately, we were out of water, so we had to suffer until our waitress came back and we asked for more. We also ordered a hamburger which was tasty. It came with lots of chips, but they weren't salted which made them less than appealing. We had sopapillas and they were delicious. Was visiting Albuquerque for a work trip and one of our coworkers really enjoys Sadie's margaritas. They have a wide variety of margarita flavors and tequilas, some sweeter than others. I think I got one of their most popular ones, they're pretty strong and goes well with the chips and salsa. The workers were very friendly and they were pretty busy. We went on a Monday evening and there luckily wasn't a wait, they also don't take reservations so we got lucky. This place isn't really Keto friendly. Everyone got a mixture of items, a taco salad, I got 2 tacos, beef and avocado, Chile relleno, and tried green chilles. Very fried food and I guess very heard New Mexican food. Coming from California this is different than what we're used to comparing to Chevy's or taquerias. At the end we also got Sopapillas which are like puff dough pastries that are eaten with honey. Beware of the salsa!!!!! The heat of the green chile they use in it can vary widely. The day I was there it was mouth burning hot. The chips are good and by no means is the salsa bad, it's just hot. For the main dish. I got the sopapilla sampler with brisket on one and carne adovada on the other two. They gave me both green and red Chile sauce to put on them. The portions were huge, I could only eat 2 of the 3. The meat on the sopapillas was a bit dry and the red chili sauce just tasted like blended bitter red chiles. I recommend the green sauce as it has more flavor. Overall, it was a decent meal but nothing special. Service was pretty good even though the place was packed. This is the second time I order the taco burger with chopped green chile on the side and about if the chopped green chili on the side and an order of home fries to go. This is also the second time I get burned home fries. When I placed the order I asked if the taco burger comes with cheese and was told it is extra. According to the menu cheese comes with it. So, we've loved buying Sadie's salsa for years at our local grocery store in Tucson and honestly never gave much thought about where the salsa was made. Lo and behold, we were looking for a place to eat in Albuquerque and saw Sadie's and it had some good reviews, so we decided to go for dinner. We could not even believe that we had stumbled across the same Sadie's that makes the salsa we love, so we feel like we really lucked out. The service was impeccable, the margaritas were strong, the food was filling, and the prices were just what we were expecting. We ended up ordering several different dishes to get the full experience, like the beef tacos, the chile relleno, enchiladas, and rolled enchiladas. The red chile sauce is spicyyyy, so don't overestimate your spice tolerance. There's honestly no way to go wrong with anything on the menu here and we will definitely be back the next time we are in ABQ. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I go in to pick up a to-go order and the host tells me I have to wait to speak to someone behind a counter who's busy doing something. I stand in front of her and SHE DOESN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE IM THERE. They don't greet me or ask what I need. I'm like a ghost. A manager person comes by after a few minutes and ask what I need. I tell them I'm waiting for my to-order and give them my name. They say okay and go about their business. Don't go back to check on the order or anything. I walk toward the waiting area and watch people come in and get greeted and seated. After more minutes of waiting, I get fed up and go to the host to ask about more order and say how rude everyone is being. She has the nerve to say I'm being rude. The lady behind the counter comments that my order is on the way as if she told me that the first time WHICH SHE DIDN'T. Finally some lady I didn't interact with before gives me my food and I storm out. I have never been more rudely treated! read more

Three food is always great, however, the number one issue with sadies is they always have a busser sweeping the floor while people are eating. That is soo gross, simply because they are kicking up lint, hair, crumbs, dust, and debris from the floor into the food you're eating... come on, SADIES, I eat here all the time, so STOP, PLEASE. I'll pay extra for the busser to stay 30 minutes after closing to sweep the floor... that's just so gross. Came here on a weekday night around 8:30PM, tons of people still! Seated promptly and given chips and salsa - salsa had a nice kick, chips were lightly salted, quite tasty. I ordered a combo plate with a chile relleno and rib with Christmas chile. Both were just okay, flavors weren't too strong and both the chile relleno and the rib were lukewarm. Potatoes and beans were hot though. I liked the red chile more than the green, as the green didn't really have much flavor. The sopapilla that I had with honey was super thin, not that great either. This place was recommended by the hotel. It did not disappoint. We arrived around 5:30. It was busy with about a half an hour wait. We found a couple seats at the bar and we were good to go. The chips and salsa were good. I tried the silver coin margarita it was really good and a made fresh. I am not a fan of a pre made margarita out of a keg. The house margarita looked bright green and super sweet. The bartender recommended the shredded beef stuffed sopapilla smothered in green chili sauce and cheese. It came with beans and potatoes rather than rice. It all tasted amazing. It was a ton of food. I had to try the deep fried green chilis as well. It was all really good. I had to have them take the plate away so I would not continue to eat. Don't forget to finish the meal with a sopapilla and honey. Try this place! read more

I enjoy Sadie's, I really do. The food is tasty, the portions are huge. When we had service, they were usually quick and efficient. They have a great bar and Happy Hour at Sadie's is always a blast. Sadie's chili deserves its own mention. It's hot. And sometimes it is very hot. If you're new to Sadie's, ask the waitstaff about the temperature because it can be daunting. I accidentally spilled my drink pretty early on and it was embarrassing, but the waitress was nice about it and cleaned it up real quick. They brought me another drink which was great. I've always been a fan of Sadie's. Portions are generous and chile is flavorful and hot. Sopaipillas are very good, and employees are friendly, efficient and courteous. I ordered the carne adovada stuffed sopaipilla as I've never had it that way before and it was tasty and spicy. I would've liked it mixed with refried beans and cheese though as I felt it was too much pork (left about half of it to the side). I also ordered a jalapeno margarita and it was ok, not spicy as I expected it to be. Moving from Ohio to California - had one night in Albuquerque and wanted something that represented the city well - reviews and articles I read from the hotel room pointed me to Sadie's - what seems to be an Albuquerque staple... Albuquerque is a lucky place- this place is on point in every category - staff, cleanliness, commitment to mask policy, overall friendliness, and most importantly the food. Short wait during peak dinner time, completely acceptable- especially considering how clean and well-spaced for safety the dining room is. Significant Other got chicken enchiladas with their red and green sauces on the side. The green sauce is great, the red sauce is the stuff of legends - deep, rich, earthy spice - a lot of heat but not of the superficial, mouth-searing manner. I had the brisket enchiladas - perfect - everything fresh, the meat perfectly tender and juicy/ not stringy like you often get with brisket. Significant Other also got a Santa Fe margarita- I had to have a sip, so good it made me wish I liked getting drunk. We joked over dinner we'd take a trip back to Albuquerque just to eat at Sadie's - if you live in the area and haven't had them.. you're weird. stop being weird and go enjoy a jewel of your beautiful city. read more

We went here for a quick lunch. The portions are extremely generous and not only that the food is amazing. I was craving New Mexico cuisine and this hit the spot. The complimentary chips are so airy and tasty. The salsa has a nice kick. I had the huevos rancheros and give it 5 stars. Everyone else at the table loved their food as well.
