Food was pretty good this is my first time here so I ordered something basic rice chailaflan which is fried rice with all different meats , comes topped with sweet plantains and avocado strips , I love avocado it's always a bonus for me , service was very pleasant and the ambience is super casual they have a very kid friendly menu , to drink I had a traditional Ecuadorian drink called Quaker which is oats and passion fruit if I'm wrong please correct me , I always order it when dining at Ecuadorian restaurants. We ordered the Llapingacho Andino. Clearly states it's suppose to come with beef stew. Why is the guy trying to convince (gas light) me it's not like that on the menu and that it never comes with beef stew when I called about the plate being wrong instead of sending the order correctly, or even apologizing for that matter at $20 a plate you can't be serious. Love this place. Haven't been here since the pandemic and came with my wife. We ordered the sabor andino breakfast (enough to feed 2 people) and the calamari. The calamari's portion was huge and really crispy and delicious. The marinara sauce that came with it was warm and made an excellent pairing The Sabor Andino breakfast came with rice, steak, avocado, and tomato. It is a great combination. The food is very mediocre and is too expensive for the quality. 1) I ordered a large sopa de mariscos (seafood soup) and triple ceviche. In both dishes, the seafood were very "not bouncy", something that usually occurs in seafood that is not fresh. There was fish, shrimp, squid tentacles, and squid rings. The squid tentacles were the only things with "bounce", while everything else tastes like they were frozen and tastes unfresh. 2) Each dish was about $20, yet my total came to $55 by paying with card. Went here to honestly satisfy my Ecuadorian cravings. There aren't a lot of good Ecuadorian places anywhere. The service was impeccable. The people there make you feel so cater to and so loved. I know Ecuadorian cuisine is Unknown for vegetarian friendly options however, as a vegetarian, I would love for them to modernize it a little bit more and offer more main dishes that are vegetarian friendly. read more

Pretty decent Mexican food in the area. Price is above average but pretty decent. Haven't ate at the restaurant yet. Only did takeout. Ordered the burrito and it was good. Came with a mixed avocado salad on the side. Only complaint is it was quite the wait. I was the only customer there and took about 15-20 minutes before my order was ready. There is look, there is taste, this place has all of the above, but the smell.. I promise you, you will smell your food before it arrives it is so amazing. Outside it says Spanish and Italian cuisine, I had no sense of the Italian end (more than likely due to my order), but the Spanish food, everything about it, delicious. We had her Bistec Encebollado (steak with sauce and onions), it seemed like a tomato and garlic sauce, either way, the acid here has permeated through the meat and topped with what would seem like an entire pickled onion. Each bite bursting with flavor. Prior to this, my girlfriend and I had a little back and fourth because I don't normally like a saucy steak, so I put my foot in my mouth once I tried hers and liked it very much. Now I had ordered Palomilla asada, despite how good her steak was, my plate beat it but not by much. It wasnt until i had taken one of two oranges in my plate and squeezed the juice over that it took the flavor wayyy over the top, and really completed the dish. Very rich smoky steak topped with maduros (sweet plantain) that came with a salad and a side of white rice and red beans. The beans were good, I typically enjoy mine with heat, so I had mixed in some pique they have at the table. I must warn you though, this steak is thin, but they give you 3. You can overlap them to seem like one normal size steak, whatever is comfortable for you. Also, they will not ask you how you like it, as this is a thin steak, it's impossible to have much less than well done. The only flaw at all, was that while the staff was nice, they weren't the most attentive, and that's fine sometimes, but i couldnt get another napkin to save my life and if I didn't get up and go to the counter for the check, I would still be sitting there now. We had dessert, we decided to go with the flan and my first taste, it was not like other flan that I had had, even my partner admitted that it was not as good today. Who knows, maybe you'll try it and like it, I've yet to try too many flans. I've passed this place many times and finally decided to take a step inside, I'm very glad I did. I haven't written a review in a long time but Sabor Andino inspired me to ! A great local gem in Brooklyn . Most definitely the best authentic ecuadorian food you will come across . The food portions are big , prices reasonable and a very polite attentive staff. I come here very often but my favorite plate of all is the Sirloin Steak with shrimp ! So delicious and satisfying ! Best time to come is on the weekends where they have food specials :) I recommend there tostones with guacamole , they are to die for . A little pricey but use higher quality ingredients. Portions are large, staff is very attentive, friendly, and professional. Food itself is well done, and never disappoints. Never over or underdone, never over or underseasoned. The restaurant is Peruvian, and I am not sure exactly how authentic it is, but my friend from Columbia (country) says it is extremely close to what he interprets as Peruvian food. Have tried most things including the seafood, beef, pork and chicken. All are great choices. Personally a bigger fan of the beef options they have. I was supremely impressed with this restaurant. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly The place was clean and busy with employees keeping it that way. I simply ordered some nachos with guacamole and for my entree their lemon chicken and to my shocking suprise I received freshly made delictable crispy nachos with excellent guacamole. I received a beautifully presented large rectangular plate with no detail overlooked. The ingredients were fresh to order from the chicken to the lemon slices to the nice salad with its own dressing and design. I also received freshly baked bread and a plate with amazing french fries and rice on the side. Considering the poor location and poor menu design that does not do this establishment any justice, I waked away looking back at this place just saying wow. Was a supreme surprise. read more

I had the chance to have dinner here recently after a long day at work. It was a particularly rough day at work and I had quite the considerable appetite. I also worked in the area so coming here was convenient and easy. Finding the place is easy enough. Just follow the street numbers until you get to the right intersection. The only thing that sucks about the area is that finding parking is impossible. You might spend a good twenty minutes looking for a place to park. Once you do park and manage to get inside you'll find a nicely decorated Spanish restaurant with fun Latin music playing over the loudspeakers. Even after a long day at the office the music put me in a lighter mood. It was very welcoming at made me feel comfortable right away. We were seated immediately, which is a huge plus for me. I hate waiting, especially at most places in America where the prices are at least triple what the food and experience is actually worth. Being seated and attended to by the staff within seconds was pleasing and expressly appreciated. The waitress was on point with service and was always there when we needed her. Not once did we have to go looking for her or felt that she abandoned us in any way. We were given everything in a timely fashion and always with a smile. I ordered the chaulafan, which was basically fried rice with some shrimp, pork, chicken, and beef mixed in with slices of avocado and platanos maduros (sweet plantains). The dish was cooked nicely and although had fried rice, did not feel greasy. It tasted fresh, and they gave me a heaping plate of it, which satisfied my voracious appetite well. I definitely recommend that dish to anyone that goes there. This restaurant has become one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable considering the size of the portions. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Spanish restaurant. The only thing I warn about is bringing a car. Parking in this neighborhood is rough and you may be spending some time looking for a spot, especially on the weekend. Other than that, this place will be seeing a lot more of me in the days to come. read more

I just finished my first meal after getting a delivery which came fairly quick. Didn't start to good as the meal I ordered had most the juice/gravy/sauce spilled all inside the bag. However none of the food was lost. I dig in and it was EXCELLENT. Very delicious. I got the Bistec Equadarino? It's the beef stew with peppers, plaintains, rice and salad. Great flavor. I found this place on the way to train station. Looks modern from outside- for the area. You can always see through dim windows and you can always see that at least one table is taken. There is nothing special about menu and food- its just as good as you expect it to be plus very pleasant service. Big portions. My last visit here- i was super cold,  tired and disappoinred after running TCS NYC Marathon - and all i wanted is a big bowl of hot soup. And i knew that i m going here straight from Central Park. Catfish soup warmed my body,  half-a-pitcher of Sangria warmed my soul. Excellent " around-the-corner" place. read more

I came with my family of 8 at 6 and we sat by the window. It was interesting because there was a parade going on related to the church across the street so the street was blocked off. The food we ordered was all very good, the pork chop, rotisserie chicken, porgie, and guac especially and the only thing I would skip next time is the salteado mixto, which was bland. I really like the food here but the service is so so. They often run out of avacodo guac and whole chickens. When you order through grub hub they will only substitute cheaper items. I've ordered the gauc with tostones several times every time it's come with tostones this time they told me it comes with nachos or tostones but there is no option to choose from grub hub not to mention it says "and" when I said I didn't even get nachos it was kinda like whatever. They gave it to me but I still felt cheated. I'll think twice about ordering from here but sit down is fine. read more

Inexpensive and Flavorful combos! The only problem are the steaks they serve and the fact that when you order, the lady doesn't know english too well, neither does the guy.
