It's actually called Don Marino - same menu We got a few bunch of things to share & all of it was delicious! You have to try the arepa with chicken tinga - so so good ! The portion is huge too The empanadas come in beef, cheese and chicken - all are delicious and the sauces it comes with are perfect We also got the steak and shrimp tacos - these were one of the best tacos we have had in a while They have fresh juices too - the guava was everything :)

Don Mario Rotisserie Chicken moved in with Mi Tierra during the winter, and is currently doing takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining. I stopped by recently to pick up one of their family combos (a whole rotisserie chicken, rice and beans, guacamole, pickled jalapenos, corn tortillas, and a bunch of sauces), which was just under $30 after tax. Everything was very tasty, the chicken was juicy, and topping everything with green sauce made it even better. They have a pretty extensive menu there - everything from tacos, burritos, nachos, and enchiladas to burgers, buffalo wings, and Colombian platters - but I've only gone for the rotisserie chicken, which we really like.

Their Colombian platter is great. Finally found a place that serves good Colombian platter that's good in Brooklyn no longer need to go to queens for this. Rotisserie chicken is great. Their sauces that came with the chicken is so good. One thing their name is confusing it says Mi Tierra on yelp but when I was walking there it was another name don Mario. I went with my 9yo and my 3yo and my kids are foodies if the food isn't good they prob would just munch a bit and won't eat more so we ordered 1/4 rotisserie chicken with yellow rice and tostones and a bandeja paisa And 2 Rosa de Jamaica. We ate almost everything. I've been to las margaritas next door I don't know why but they have more businesses next door I thought their food was average honestly. Don Mario is definitely way better. Now when I asked the waitress is the restaurant Mexican or Columbian, she said Mexican that definitely confused me when I looked at the menu they had Columbian dishes and the rotisserie chicken isn't Mexican. Now the decor there is a lot Mexican flag , maybe she should just said Mexican and some South American food so i wont be confused. But whatever their food is good. Good services only two waitresses running the bar and about 3-4 tables taken so they didn't come right away but They tried at least. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the rotisserie chicken

We were looking for something close to home that we hadn't eaten 100x and could go with our son. The music was a little loud but they were great about us going with my 3 month old (it's been a long week now that I'm back to work). Pretty empty was afraid to try since no business has been successful here but we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. We started with empanadas they aRe the Colombian ones. They were delish. For entrees we got the entrañA (skirt steak) and bandeja paisa. I enjoyed my bandeja. It's a loaded dish and honestly you could share. We shared the crispy chicharron. And hardly touched the sausage: I didn't finish it all. My husband liked his entrañA. We didn't like the dessert and the music was a little loud but then again we had our son with us so we knew it came with the territory. I would eat there again for the bandeja paisa.

Ropa vieja with cheese..paper thin arepa. Ehh!

Lunch get together. It's a mexican/colombian spot. Empty at 1pm on saturday. Food wasnt bad but didnt have a colombian cooked feel. Arepas you could tell a not house made and reheated. Food took a while and was less than warm. Service was nice. Fruit drinks were enormous. Empanades would be excelent if fresh but again reaheated so not really bad (yummy choice of sauces). Overall "good" for the colombian who knows their food. Ill try them again.

Not happy about the half eaten & swallowed BAY LEAVE, chef should have fished them out before serving! It's not to be ingested!

More like 3 1/2 stars but this place had great service, food not bad, loved the tostones with the vinegar-y dip...however with the spicy chicken arepas l did NOT enjoy chewing on and swallowing half a BAY LEAF! Every professional chef should KNOW to take out bay leaves since they are not pleasant to ingest & there's a risk of harming the digestive tract or causing choking! Also they need to fix their wobbly tables we went from 1 wobbly table (and it wasn't just a little wobbly, our drinks almost spilled)...so the waitress who tried to fix it couldn't get it to stop tilting so she recommended moving to another table which we did and THAT table was just as bad. Didn't this place just open up a month ago? Already tables are shot??

T bone steak and broil salmon mi tierra was excellent!!!!!!!!! frozen margaritas and sangria was exciting i will be recommended

Staff is great. Food is amazing. Portions are enormous for the price. Quality is great. I had suspicion about the piece of well done steak, but it was tender and juicy and didn't have alot of connective tissue. You want a substitution, no problem. They have happy hour M-F 11am - 7pm, $5 for some drinks, and Thursday ladies night 2 for $5.

Even though I was there a few months back and I said I would never come back because of a rude waiter But Our Waiter John needs a raise!!! He was wonderful, from the moment he came to the table, he has such a great positive attitude. He should be the example for your place.. On top of Fabulous John, my Shepard pie n my sister's salmon was delicious. Our drinks were yummy. And John was so attentive, he made sure we were happy n enjoying our food. Thanks John you redeemed The Salty Dog for me I can say now I still Love The Salty Dog

Hubby has frequented Salty Dog mostly with his colleagues, so I was glad to revisit here again after so long. He was bragging as to how good everything is, and was dying to try their pretzel of all things, so we walked right in at around 5PM. We were seated at a high top table over by the bathrooms, but that didn't bother us. Our waiter was super attentive and really chill. He gave us plenty of time to decide and explained how big some portions were for sharing. We finally decided on our beverages on choice first - a blueberry crumble beer for me and an angry orchard for him. Mine was very fresh and surprising; a great compliment with the pretzel that was HUGE! The cheese may or may not have been beer cheese, but it was addicting! A hidden gem right there under your nose on the menu - get it! The boneless chicken wings with their Kentucky whisky BBQ sauce was absolutely AWESOME - we got the small and it was plenty for us as we also got the hamburger sliders with cheese. They needed a bit of ketchup, but solid pub food. Looking forward to more surprise dates here!

From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless -- warm, incredibly attentive, and perfectly paced. The refreshments were so great for a celebration. The Cocktails: Expertly crafted and sophisticated. It was refreshing to have drinks that were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The coffee was served alongside dessert, it was rich and the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal. While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing. It did remind me of visiting Germany believe it or not like a schnitzel style cutlet but still very italian if that makes any sense. If you visit, you simply cannot miss the fried eggplant appetizer with burrata. It is divine! This dish alone would be the perfect excuse to drop by for a casual dinner date or a "girls' night out" centered around appetizers, wine, and to try a dessert. I would absolutely return!

The fried calamari could've been less oily, as this took away from the crunch; also slightly overcooked. Baked clams were decent. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Pizza was great! They reheated for us, since our group was too busy chatting. Desserts - phenomenal! Drinks- ehh. Brunch menu - French toast was decent. The salmon over hash brown , was lacking a touch of something , couldn't pinpoint what was lacking. Chicken and waffles, decent, wasn't the best I've had. Service- jonathan was our waiter during brunch and also our bartender. He's GREAT! During service dinner, we had a female waitress and I felt she lacked attention to details and couldn't flag her down when we wanted something. Overall, service is a hit or miss , I guess? If you're looking for an intimate dinner, nope. Love their vibes and music playing in the background. You might need to "shout"'to hear
