Saw this place pop up in my Yelp businesses updates email on friday and be came quite curious about the Chicken Musakhan that was featured. So that evening I found Ruzana on Grub Hub and orderd it. This was the first time I had this dish and I love getting to try something now. It was on the bone chicken with Carmelized Onions,Sumac and lots of other wonderful Middle Eastern Spices,topped with slivered almonds on this fluffy flatbread called Taboon. It is a beloved dish of Palestine and I can see why,the chicken was perfectly cooked and the sweeness of the onions mingled magically with the spices and the crunch of the almonds added texture. The Taboon was soaked in the juices and crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy in middle. The only hiccup was the place doesnt use Grub Hub drivers and I was unable to track (which sets off my OCD), after several minutes past last expected arrival I called restaurant to see if it had left and the lady was having a hard time understanding,asking me if I wanted to order and then saying no order had been placed with my name. I asked again are you sure and gave my address no no orders was her reply. Just as I was about to figure out how to get my money back from Grubhub the delivery guy showed up. So that was a bit of unnecesary stress I will chalk up to a miscommunication tho I may decide to dine in next time to avoid this issue.

Wow, what a hidden gem!! As a Palestinian American, it's rare to find authentic good Palestinian food, so when I come across this wonderful restaurant, I was fortunate! First of all, the ambience is so cute and charming with some tables inside and outside. They do lots of take out and catering-tells you how good the food and service is! Abdel-Rahman was so professional, friendly and accommodating. He answered all my questions and the chef was so friendly and handled all my allergy requests like a professional! Everything came out of the kitchen with love and amazing presentation. So much detail to spices and taste to ensure perfection. They don't take shortcuts and focus on quality and flavor. This will now be our regular place for Palestinian food and also just a wonderful place for veggie options for me. Plenty of meat and seafood dishes as well that look so delicious. Ruzana is authentic and as close as it gets to how my mom cooks. Super clean establishment with charm in every corner. Thank you chef and Abdul-Rahman! See later this week!

Ample servings of fresh food. Lots of meat. Great salads. We had a kebab and it was huge. Well spiced and cooked to order. We had the labneh and that was fresh and huge. The service is good. The guy behind the counter was friendly and fast. They have a number of tables inside and out. Unfortunately, too cold to sit outside. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. I wish they had better fries and better hot sauce (right now no middle eastern version, just American). Also, when we first sat down, no one was there. But then people came in were not social distancing or wearing masks, so maybe it's best to take out here.

4 star food, 1 star off for the fact that no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask, and I had to ask our server specifically to wear one as a well. Safety is safety, regardless of food quality! The babaganoush was my favorite - drenched in olive oil with spices laden on top. Paired equally well with the complimentary pita as well as the French fries that come with most of the platters. The Arabic falafel plater was not bad - the flavor of the falafel patties did not "wow" me to be honest, although dipping in the fresh hummus, served with a few pieces of whole chickpeas still present, partially made up for it.

Amaaaazing, delicious food, and wonderful service!! we ordered the lamb kebab platter, Arabic meat shawarma platter, baba ganoush, grape leaves! So fresh, flavorful, and delicious!! Casual sit down restaurant. Food is so fresh and delicious. Everything is very well seasoned. Rice is fluffy. One of the better falafels I've had. Chicken tender and juicy. I can't say how much I enjoyed this meal. The price is very reasonable as well. If you want Palestinian/middle eastern food give them a shot.

This place is a gem! Food there is sooo tasty and the portions are big that you will most likely end up taking leftovers home (also a plus not to cook the next day!) Prices are very reasonable and honestly with food that good, other places would charge you waaaay more. I went there with my family and a small group of friends and we ordered a bunch of stuff ( Shawarma platter, Mansaf platter, burger and fries, Msakhan and stuffed grape leaves) and some appetizers salad, hummus and fries, Tabbouleh. Everything I tried was good and tasty, staff were very welcoming and friendly. On a side note, we noticed they were packing a huge order to go and out of curiosity we asked and came to know that they cater events and parties and that order was a stuffed lamb! It looked huge Highly recommend the place, a must try if you ever were in bay ridge area, Brooklyn.

This place has real potential but they are too inconsistent. I have had few meals that have been really strong, but I have also had meals that were un-eatable. Yesterday, I ordered a chicken shawarma plate and it was clear that whatever chicken they served me was chopped off ends off the rotator hours before it landed on my plate. It was dry and tough. The portion of chicken to rice was also way too little. I have had plates from them in the past which were quite good and quite fresh. However, lately I have been disappointed. For this reason, I give them three stars as opposed to two. I think if they live up to their potential, they can be quite good. read more

Yesterday's experience at Ruzana was a bit of a let down. I first tried their shawarma sandwhich when they opened last year. I was seriously amazed at how delicious it was. Every thing about the shawarma was excellent. When it comes to shawarmas, I always get chicken and lamb mixed, and for Ruzana the favors worked perfectly together. Also, I'm so used to having shawarma on regular arabic pita bread, but Ruzana uses a different, more thinner bread. It was awesome. I couldn't wait to come back. I especially liked how they had their own twist to the traditional shawarma sandwhich. Finally, I got my chance to have Ruzana yesterday and I must say I was vastly disappointed. Just as another Yelper mentioned, their shawarma sandwhiches do not have the same consistency they had when they first opened. My chicken was dry and overcooked. Same for the lamb. It lacked the same flavor it once had just a year ago. In fact, I witnessed the cook use meat that was already presliced. Every shawarma place I've been to slices it's meat fresh off the spit. Maybe I caught Ruzana on an off night. I am willing to give them another shot only because my first experience with them was so great. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. read more

On Monday 12/9/19 night I went out to eat at this place and the same night when I got home I was throwing up and I had diarrhea. I was in severe pain nausea back to back in the bathroom because of this reason the next morning I was in the hospital, I had to do some tests and the doc said I have food poisoning I do not recommend anyone to go to this place because they are dirty they have bad bacteria and they don't clean anything! Restaurant should be clean for people to eat well and not even that the food was expensive! I am very aggravated and I wish this restaurant will go out of business, I've been suffering in pain, can't eat, sleep nothing. This is the worst place to eat! I'm truly disgusted! read more

This place was so incredibly delicious! Probably the best hummus I have ever had. It had a yummy tang, was soooo smooth and was served at a great temperature. Also the bread it came with was warm and fluffy. Not to mention massive portions, so great for sharing. My wrap was perfectly crisp on the outside, and the filling had a great flavor with the pickled vegetables and meat. Cannot express enough how wonderful this meal was. They deliver too!!! read more

Some of the tastiest shawarma I have had in recent memory. You can tell this place is the real deal because there was a woman making the bread wraps in the kitchen. The amount of flavor in the beef / lamb shawarma is incredible. Also the bread wrap is delicious. It isn't too thick, so when they put the wrap on the grill to finish it off for you, it becomes crispy. read more

This restaurant is outstanding. Everything is just wow. Their decoration is fabulous. The guy in the front is so nice. The place is clean and the music they play takes you to the middle east. I had to drive for more than an hour to get there after a friend recommended the place to me. We ordered the Chicken Shawarma and hummus and this is the best Shawarma I ever tasted in the States. It is so delicious that I had to order two more. Prices are decent too. If you want to try Shami food this is definitely your spot. My favorite Arabic food!!! I drive from New Jersey just to get some Arabic style. So worth the drive and toll. Everything is delicious, but my favorite is the lamb gyro Arabic style. My only complaint is how far it is, I go there so often they would never expect me to be from nj. I am a regular here and will continue to be. Ohh and they are open 24 hours. read more

Such a wonderful little spot in Bay Ridge. Authentic Middle Eastern food for a quarter of what you pay a couple blocks in either direction. I've been here 3 times so far and the food is always good. The shawarma is tasty, the falafel light and crispy and all the appetizers (foul muddamas, baba ghanouge) I've tried so far were solid. This is the BEST arabic food I have had in ages. The food is so incredibly flavorful and fresh. The falafel is exactly like what I ate in Jordan (and have never found in the US), the saj bread makes the sandwiches so perfect, and the babaghanoush! never ever have I had babaghanoush like this. Incredible!!! Everything was stellar: the qudsia, the musabaha, the French fries, even. The staff is so friendly and kind. Another amazing spot to go and have food at! I just wish the place was a little bigger because sometimes it gets very crowded! The food is fabulous, after ordering you can actually see them make it fresh for you, the fries are amazing seasoned very well. When I'm at work and would like some delicious food, I'm glad that this place is an option. They deliver there delicious food and call you when they arrive. The falafal, humus and bread are my favorite. Then again, so are there salads. The food is very flavorful. read more

I absolutely loved this place. The service was just amazing. Everybody was super friendly. Nothing but kind people work here. The restaurant was clean. Smelled delicious. Quick service. Very warm considering the cold weather and the seats are mainly by the windows. The food was delicious. I'm picky about my ethnic food. This the perfect place to go for a bite! After swimming class my friends and I wanted to taste an authentic Arabic shawarma and we found it at Ruzana the food is so fresh and delicious and they bake their own bread. I decided to try if because over the course of the week the line has been out the door. I ordered what the girl at the register told me was their biggest hit which was the Arabic shawarma first she had a huge smile and was so welcoming so I took her opinion and ordered it. Let me tell you I was amazed at the food it was absolutely delicious and the presentation was breathtaking, absolutely worth the wait. I love this place! I've been meeting to check it out for a while and I'm so glad I did! The decor is super cute and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They unfortunately were sold out of most of the pies but I managed to get 2 spinach pies and they were so good and the portions are huge! They came out perfectly warm and toasty. Had an amazing lunch here. We ordered takeout and the people were friendly and invited us to try some of their desserts. We went for a sampling shwarma, some falafel and hummus with pita. AMAZING. The chicjen shwarma was the best IMHO. Come here. It is clean. It feels like a good date place. And lemme say if your date doesnt like their hummus....dump them afterwards. Ruzana was born out of the sheer love of flavor and family. After immigrating to the United States over 30 years ago, Khadija Abdul-Fattah recognized how food could build connections between people. Though she missed her home country of Palestine, Khadija made the best of her situation by bringing a piece of home to New York City. He said he will take very strict action against this delivery person and advise me to call the store directly and order from there and ask for him. I have enjoyed Beyti food and service but now with these two incidents involving "a tip" I am very disappointed and might not want to order from this place.

Came earlier today and the lady working at the front (Brown hair, 50's & prob Moroccan) was the rudest worker I've ever met! First off, she doesn't understand how to take orders, my friends & I had to repeat things multiple times in both English & Arabic & she was looking at us like we were the problem. My friend simply asked to sub the rice for fries and when she received her plate she didn't receive either. When my friend went to simply ask about it she proceeded to yell & insult her! This was nothing to argue about. She crumbled up the receipt showing fries because she knew she wrong. She was talking about us while we were eating to the chef & he put music on full volume so we can't hear the disgusting things she's saying. I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

My friend and I came to this place like a twice before. Since then we've been dying to come here. Like when you eat here, feels like you're in Arab world and having real Arabian food!!! The rest was wonderful plus the very nice decors. We got kebab which was Delicious , very tasty..and the meat shawarma Arabic is great which wrapped with Bedouin Bread love all this bread especially its taste .. realy awsome . The food is DELICIOUS and the service is fantastic. The owners are very friendly. It is a family run business and the food is wonderfully authentic. On top of all that, the portions are fairly generous for the price. I have tried the chicken shawerma, beef shawerma, kibbeh, tabouleh, falafel, and luqmat qadi. I don't know how they do it but the Chicken Shawarma platter is amazing. Always crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The pickles are balanced between briny and sour. The rice they serve is very addicting, well seasoned. Ruzana has been very solid and I hope they keep it up. read more
