They have all the standard halal cart items and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. Prices have gone up recently due to inflation. At the time of writing this review, a chicken over rice is $11 and a combo over rice is $12. This is a street cart so you can order and eat at a scenic place if your choice for ambiance. Best thing about this cart is that its locally owned by brother Jojo. Brother Jojo has been there since the beginning for Bay Ridge serving the finest halal platter that neighborhood has to offer. This cart is one of the originals that started in this neighborhood and absolutely a necessary for everyone to try. The cart has vegetarian friendly options. The falafel plate with some rice, salad, white and hot sauce is absolutely a banger. I enjoy this more than the meat. For the people who enjoy meat, this cart happens to have some of the tastiest lamb I ever tried. My recommendation would be a mixed platter with all the sauces. Best thing about this cart is that the food always leaves you feeling good. Partially because I believe the quality is always up to standards. This has always been my go to for YEARS. I cannot sing their praises enough. The food is always consistent, the flavor is amazing, the meat is always sooooo juicy, no matter what hour of the day I get it. I've tried other carts before with meat that tastes extremely dry and ashy, almost as though it's been sitting out for a while. With that said, the halal food here always delivers with savory taste and consistency. I'm salivating thinking about it, would probably go pick up an order later today. I always get chicken over rice with white/BBQ/hot sauce and it never disappoints. The workers are extremely friendly wearing the biggest smiles on their face. They're practically my neighbors. This is my first time to New York and heard there are plenty great foods out here. I ordered but through Uber eats because I was super tired where I didn't want to move my body out of the airbnb to go to the restaurant. It's interesting that they don't accept credit/debit card, according to Yelp. Ordering through Uber Eats was great as if I was going to order in person at the restaurant. The staff is friendly and professional. The Palestinian immigrant owner has a relationship with the customers in the neighborhood from all races/religions etc. It's wonderful hearing the conversations that take place while waiting online because it reminds you of what a melting pot New York is. For a dollar more you can get some chopped thick pita bread which is grilled. Whenever I get the hungry or late night munchies and I need something quick, I usually get Halal food from Middle Eastern Halal Stand. You always notice them because they are in front of Rite Aid and they always have their yellow truck parked in front of it. I usually get there chicken over rice, which I think is pretty good. I've also had their falafel sandwich and chicken gyro, which are also good. It is very convenient for me since I live very close it. My go to option for late night munchies.
