When I stepped up, I was instead asked, "Are you here to pick up?" This stood out to me because I have experienced this repeatedly in predominantly white areas. I am Latino, and sometimes the immediate assumption seems to be that I am there to pick up an order rather than simply being another customer. I am not saying the employee consciously thinks Latino customers are more likely to be there to pick up orders. I am fairly certain he does not. I am simply pointing out that the difference in how I was approached was noticeable. A simple "How can I help you?" is neutral, respectful, and avoids making assumptions about why someone is there.

This is bullshit untrue across the country, as we all know (especially if not told in advance). Thus, long story short, this store simply aims to earn as much money from consumers as possible, even if this means overstepping the bounds of ethics.

I have order pizza at Rustys for over 10 years. I have been a loyal customer. I know people only use yelp to leave complain, but im left to do that today. I have order Large diablo pizza with mushroom as my got to go order. The person who took my order today send me a medium. I called on the phone to let them know about the mistake. I was transfer to the supervisor who said that I confirm the order. The supervisor didn't said his name and was hostile throughout the entire conversation. He told me to wait until Monday for his managers. The main issue was my usual order would of been 4 dollars which I didnt mind paying. I had people already counting on the pizza. I decided to end the conversation and dial once more. I was expecting some other supervisor was in the office. I was transfer to the same supervisor. The person did not said his name again. He told me that it was not for me to request such information and to STAY QUIET because My ORDER depended on him. He simply said that in order for me to exchange the pizza that I would have to wait and return the full pizza. One hour of wait until Me and my guests could eat something because of a miss order... I'm sorry to leave this terrible review, but someone telling me to be quiet while pretending that I was screaming at him without providing their own information.. its highly unpleasant. There goes my last 25 bucks at Rustys. Phone call was place on September, 16 2017 at 6:05pm and 6:09pm. In case, someone in upper management read this and explain this supervisor about customer satisfaction. :/ read more

What's the point of your store taking all the safety measures during this pandemic if anyone can walk in through the kitchen side? I was here Friday between 5-6 to place an order since my kid wanted pizza, which is honestly the only reason why I stayed. In the time that I was waiting for my order I saw some employees and two other people sitting at one of the booths. The two that were with the employees weren't wearing masks and they were both coming and going through the side door that I'm guessing is for employees only. You might as well open up the store for people to eat inside if anyone can just walk in UNPROTECTED where people's food is. I honestly regret staying, but we don't live in Santa Barbara and my kid only likes your pizza. I will be reporting this to the health department. I don't understand how management could allow this to happen. read more

I am appalled by my recent experience at this location. My husband picked up our order on Tuesday November 2nd. We sent a private message on your online contact form, never got a response hopefully this review helps other people. Just thinking about this still makes me sick to my stomach. We found TWO hairs in our pizza. Not ONE but TWO! One was stuck in the pizza box it was a long blondish hair. The second one was noticed by my husband on the slice I was about to eat. The second hair was imbedded into the pizza dough, it was cooked inside we were able to pull it out and it was clearly a hair from a male. We tossed out the whole pizza. I'm very disappointed in this location it was always one of my favorites. read more

I really didn't want to leave a bad review, but clearly things aren't gonna change. I went to pickup an order on Wednesday around 2 pm. I show up and they had a customer without a mask on and the lady with the short hair and an all black mask allowed the customer to not have a mask on. It's not the first time I've seen her allow customers without masks either. Does she not understand how serious this pandemic is? I will no longer be supporting this particular Rustys location. I'd rather drive to any other of your locations before I enter this location since clearly your employee isn't taking the correct measures of letting customers know that masks are required EVERYWHERE. read more

I didn't want to leave a bad review, but I've been left with no other choice. On Saturday evening I stopped by to pickup my order and the women at the register could barely hear me due to the fact that they had a speaker where they were making the pizzas. The music was so loud I honestly don't understand how the person in charge could've allowed that. When I was leaving I overheard the tall guy in the kitchen telling the other person next to him to turn up the music even more. As if it wasn't loud enough. read more

Bottom line is it's really good pizza. If you judge your pizza by Costco in either price, volume or cost, my words are probably lost on you ( no offense) but if you value good flavors creative combinations and great local businesses, this your place.
