Been coming here for years and we love Kyles! Especially their burgers. Firefighter and Cheesy pig are some of my favorites! Great flavor and plenty of sauce! I enjoy some of their salads as well. This last time I ordered a chicken thai peanut one. It tasted good, only complaint I have is the dressing was pretty light. Couldn't taste it much. I ordered more dressing cause of this. Stole $18 from me ($10 birthday credit + $8 from prior issue). Went in on a Friday night. Tried to use my $18 credit. Staff member and manager couldn't find it when they went into their system even though it showed up on my app. They had me update the app and sign in again. Still showed $18 credit. They said they couldn't give me the credit then but would investigate after the weekend and figure it out. After a week went by, I messaged them. No response. Messaged again. Crickets. The food and the service is consistently excellent. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are excellent. I additionally love the jalapeño ranch with everything and the lemonade is delicious. We've gone to Kyle's Kitchen in Hollister several times, but the location is now closed so we ended up at the Goleta store. What a mistake!. The food is good at Kyles . When I ordered the "match it" I told the person taking our order that I didn't want the drink. He said he'd fix it. So, he gave me a sandwich for menu price and then charged me $5.50 for the fries, adding an additional 50 cents instead of just skipping the drink. . When we finally got our order, mine was anything but hot. The chicken and bacon were room temperature. I asked to waitress to return it when its hot. She did and brought back another one. Fine. Then my wife had the Thai peanut salad and paid the extra $4.50 for a piece of burnt and tough chicken. She tried to eat it but after eating about halve of it, she returned it. Again, they replaced the chicken with a freshly cook one, albeit just as tough as the first one, but not burnt!. We looked at our receipt and then noticed the person taking our order had somehow added a $4.50 tip!!! I've always struggled with the weird pricing at Kyles but for fast food it's ok. But today was the last straw...Unless the new place in Hollister, opens, with better service than we had, we might give it a second chance, but NOT the Goleta location... Kyle's is a pretty consistent staple in my family. The food is top notch. The burgers feel a little more special than the average chain. It's the brioche bun and the quality ingredients. Favorite menu items are the Mountain Climber burger and the Kickin' Cowboy salad. I like spicy dishes and these do not disappoint. Typically I'll get the Pair It! combo with these two items. Kids meals come with good sized portions and the burgers and chicken strips are pretty classic crowd pleasers. They also come with a little gummy burger-shaped candy which is a nice, considerate touch. Okay, dessert options are pretty great here. My family has come for just the desserts before. The cookies are freshly baked and perfect. But the gem is the ice cream. It's the classic Thrifty Ice Cream (IYKYK)!! The ice cream cookie sandwiches are HUGE! And one time we also got a sundae. Came in well before the posted 9:00pm closing time. I placed my order and as I waited, staff began turning off lights, clearing tables, and stacking chairs. At 8:17pm, I was told that the store is closing. I ended up eating in my car, which was confusing and uncomfortable since the business was clearly still supposed to be open. If the kitchen or dining room closes earlier than the posted hours, that should be clearly communicated. Food was fine, but the closing process felt rushed and unprofessional. The restaurant is adorned with kids art , and touts in charming chalk type over school grade blackboard its commitment to special needs fundraising and the funds its raised through the years. So the vibes were good all around. Now to the food - wow. My son got a kids burger, my daughter had chicken strips and my other daughter had the grilled cheese and not a crumb was left from each (parents, you realize the impossibility of this, yes?). I got the spicy chicken avocado sandy and my wife got the earth burger, and we split a salad. Everything top notch, from portion size to taste, to presentation. Then came the dessert (see photo). The ice cream sandwich was so big my son could not get a bit in, so I had to separate it into two halves, and then it was devoured in record time. The biggest problem is the ordering system which is a total cluster-fudge. It's confusing, wastes time, results in not getting stuff at your table. And the employees at the checkout counter don't help because they're just as confused. Order at the counter and take your number. Don't order at the kiosk when you walkthrough the entrance. The burgers are ok, not bad not great. The sauces are clearly premade by some major industrial corporation. But they're fine. Patty size is a c+. The bun is very good. There's a menu glitch so the only way to get onion stings is to order the combo with fries. They said they're working on it. The burger is better than in and out but for the same Size, kyles is way more expensive. The bun is better but not worth the difference in price. read more

The onion strings were nice and crispy too. Also got the spicy krispy chicken sandwich that was very satisfying too. The brioche bun they use is very good and fluffy! I got the half and half with fries and onion rings, and the onion rings are my favorite! I used the BOGO axxess deal which made all of this food under $15! Super worth it!
