Very generous portions of tri-tip, eggs cooked your way, and their delicious chipotle mayo. Great reliable sandwich staple for the Santa Barbara area. Big portions and quality ingredients. They don't skimp on ingredients and everything is fresh. Order for take out or eat there, but I recommend ordering online to beat the line especially for a weekday lunch rush. I've had a lot of sandwiches over the years included the Marin, Chicken and Pesto, Meatball Sandwich, Roastbeef Hottie, and Caprese but I think the stand out is the When In Rome. Succulent chicken with pesto, fresh arugula, and lemon mayo on an italian roll. The lemon is really what makes it. This will be my new go-to. They also have great breakfast sandwiches. The eggs are really fluffy and delicious. I enjoy the Dar's Breakfast Sammie and the Steak & Eggs. The tri tip could definitely be more tender but it's decent quality for a sandwich place. My only disappointment is that they no longer have a deli counter. I loved their pasta salads, especially the one will shrimp. I wish it would return. read more

With multiple locations in the Santa Barbara and Goleta area, you have many options as far as locations go. The closest one to me is the one on Patterson in Goleta. The staff is always friendly and the orders come out quick. Personally, I usually get the turkey with bacon or the Cajun turkey but have ventured out of my regulars. Every sandwich and salad I've ever had from any location has always hit the spot and is consistently made the same. I'd recommend trying a couple that look like they'd be something you would enjoy but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The locations all have Axxess card deals so that's something to remember before going in because the WiFi, at least at the Patterson location, isn't always great. As many other reviewers have noted, it is a very busy spot and the parking spaces right in front are mostly only for 20-minutes, so keep that in mind. They even let you know if any allergen ingredients (i.e., dairy, gluten, etc) are included in your item. Their drink choices are different than the usual choices but good.
