In Goleta for business and had some time before my next meeting. Wanted a quick meal but some place I could hang out for a bit. I had not been to Jersey Mikes before, so since it was right in front of me I decided to give it a try. Came into a nice, clean dining area with some fun music playing. No one was in line so I had to order. Line panic! Didn't even know what they offered. I was told to take my time and order when I was ready. All people I dealt with were friendly and mellow. Lots of smiles. Cool. Decided on the Original Italian regular size sandwich. Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. Chose the regular sandwich bread, nothing fancy. Next, as the meats and cheese were being freshly cut, another sever asked about mayo, mustard a definite yes. Then, did I want "Mike's Way". What's that? Lettuce, onion, tomato, oregano, oil and vinegar. Another yes from me. Checked out and went to a table. Unwrapped the sandy and it smelled great. As usual for me, I started eating before I remembered to take a picture. Sorry for the gnawed on half shown. Delicious. I am a fan of Italian subs and this one reminded me of the ones I had in Joy-zee. Yum. I will come back and will order the same but skip the Mayo and mustard and just have it Mike's Way. The place got pretty busy around noon. Go. Eat Well. Have Fun! P.S. This is not a knock on this establishment, but what's with the tipping requests? Second, was the DISRESPECT of the young blonde behind the counter. My father is 75, and mildly hard of hearing. He told the girl that he couldn't hear her. She began to speak in an obnoxiously loud voice. She thought this to be funny, as she chuckled amongst her two coworkers! The mobile app made ordering easy however, so I settled on ordering a hot sandwich for pickup, "The Kahuna", with chicken, cheese and jalapeño. I arrived 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time to find my sandwich was expeditiously prepared and ready, but unfortunately the bread was soggy. A lady came in from the back and walked up to the counter and was helped right away. After I was helped and ordered one regular sandwich then I upgraded to the large. And ordered a second large or super. I was charged for 2 regular and one super size sandwiches $4.00 more for 2 regulars instead of 1 super. $46.00 for 2 sandwiches, what a rip. Twice the price of competitors. Quality was ok, employees were ripping off customers. Good luck with that in the future. I will not be darkening your doors again. read more

Lunch time and my favorite # 9 was on my mind. I was greeted and my order was taken almost immediately by Chloe. This was a GREAT example of what how customer relations should be. Chloe asked me exactly how I wanted my sandwich to be, if there was anything else I wanted and always made eye contact with me as she asked her questions. Typically when I come, you (the owner) are there and your customer service is AMAZING. It's why you see me 2 or 3 times a week. This morning I walked in and neither employee addressed me being there. They kept working on an order to be picked up, never ever telling me they'd be right with me. When the male finally helped me, he asked me to repeat what I wanted 3 times. When I was rung up I know I had enough points for a free sandwich, as YOU told me my next sandwich would be free. I was not asked to use my points. I was not thanked. First time here not the best service like other locations. First I walk in 3 employees leaning talking ! I'm waiting no one says hello welcome. After checking out the menu I look at them waiting to order them they all leave to the back one guy comes out and says what can I get started for you man I told them the number and he looked at me confused so I had to repeat it 3 times. After all that while they were making my sandwich one girl was throwing pieces of bread to the guy making my sandwich where my food was cooking on the grill.
