What a wonderful find! A bit off the beaten path, this was well worth our visit driving through the area. Service is incredible, they are so friendly and welcoming here. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. Everything on their menu sounds amazing, we tried a variety of it from the wings to the strips, they're solid, sides, all of it was phenomenal! The food was ready quickly, the portion is extremely generous, and the price is very fair. The food had a chef quality to it, especially the salad was so light and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sides and homemade sauces were perfection. This is definitely some of the best fried chicken I've had, I hope to see them around for a long time as I will definitely be back next time I pass through the area again.
Fire chicken. I personally wouldn't come back because flavor wise the chicken has more of a kick rather than a sweeter side, but I would certainly come back with a friend or my dad to have them try it. Kind service too!
One of the best fried chicken sandwich that I have had in town in a while! Great space with a good amount of parking. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating! The space had plenty of seating. We ordered the Korean Nashville chicken sandwich, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding (not pictured). The Korean Nashville chicken sandwich was super tasty and had a good amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved that it had a little asian fusion to it. Was a little thrown off by only one slice of bread being toasted, but it didn't change the overall taste. The chicken parmesan sandwich was on the specials menu, and it did not disappoint! Loved the bread roll it was on, and it was nice that they gave an extra side of marinara to dip. Out of the sides the baked beans were my favorite! Super tasty with bits of bacon. Mac and cheese and cole slaw were both solid. The banana pudding was also amazing! Super fresh and was a generous portion. Will be back!
I wanted to give 3 1/2 stars but can't. Didn't want to give 5 because it leaves no room to strive for improvement. Jonesy's is a nice little clean place. Very warm, welcoming and professional staff. It was busy and the cashier/waitress handled taking orders, delivering food to tables and kept the customers informed that she would be with them soon and all with a smile. The chicken tenders are tasty, tender and a nice size. Good sauces too. Biscuits are mini biscuits, tasty but expensive for what you get. I would prefer to just pay for a regular size biscuit instead of $10 for 6 mini one-bite biscuits. My main gripe were with the wings. They are a nice size, but not tender and cooked with too much batter. You have to cut into them to take the batter off or else you get a mouthful of batter. Also, the meat itself is not seasoned. If they could improve the wings it would be a much better product. So for now, we'll stick to the tenders.
Firstly, this place is tucked away but you'll know once you've found Jonesy's. I am a college student myself, and I asked some friends to try this spot with me during goletas Burger Week (Feb 19-25). They had a sandwich special so I felt, what better time to visit. We're from LA and we love a chicken sandwich. We ordered a Chicken Sandwich, the wings and their hot fries. There's a good amount of seating here as well as stools and a long table for individuals / quicker eating customers. Service was excellent, they're very nice and welcoming - we had some questions and curiosity and they were more than open to us. There's a table with some hot seasoning, ketchup and napkins and utensils. With that said - skip the Nashville hot fries. Instead grab some ketchup, season it and give it a dip! I find the Nashville hot seasoning to be. A very comfortable mild spice - almost adding flavor instead of heat. I don't find the Nashville hot fries to be all that over the regular ones. The fries however are good themselves. Now, the main Sandwich and Wings... Yeah! YEAH THIS IS IT. man this sandwich was very good and tender and flavorful. it served with some pickled peppers on the side that arent spicy and pickles. It's crispy, it was hot, steaming hot, and oh so good! I will say, My chicken filet fell out, it felt like I had 2 slices of chicken in there. Not in anyway bad but surprising, I figure they threw on an extra piece to cover the bread and actually ensure a full sandwich. Full it was! I think this sandwich was great and even during a special they didn't skimp out. I wish they had meal combos instead of all al a cart. However next time I'd like to treat myself to dinner out I will surely come by here. People come in and out of this spot, many sit in, but it's drawing people in for sure. I hope there are more opportunities for college students to come in and try out this good goleta spot.
Amazing! And they are started a prepared meats program for meal planning. Tri tip, sirloin, chicken thighs as well as sauces and rubs a la carte!
Love a good fried chicken sandwich and will always drive for good food. Had no idea this little restaurant was even here, so it was exciting to hear about their delicious chicken! They actually have a pretty big menu (and I am definitely excited to come back and try more of it). Ordered a JFC Original Chicken Sandwich and ... I was not prepared for how large the piece of chicken was going to be! This thing was massive and so freakin' tasty. The sandwich was a whole was so much larger than I expected it to be, and that JFC sauce complimented it all perfectly. Such a satisfying sandwich. Had to add on some of their Nashville Hot Fries. While they weren't as hot as I was expecting, the spice was still so delicious. There was no way I could finish them all! Looks like it's in what used to be an old motel. Parking lot inside is small, but we had no issue finding parking. Super reasonable prices, especially for the size of the sandwiches. Will definitely return when craving a chicken sandwich.
Came here for burger week and their fried chicken burger did not disappoint. The breading was light and crispy and the chicken itself was not dry at all. I also tried the chocolate chip macadamia coconut cookie which was delicious and not too sweet
First time eating here. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and very flavorful. The service was great! So kind and friendly! Can't wait to come back and try the chicken and waffles!
Now in the heart of Old Town Goleta, and a couple doors down from Pepe's Mexican Restaurant, this is the perfect place for delicious fried chicken. We've been ordering up their shared plates of Buttermilk Fried Wings and the Buffalo Wings. And paired nicely with their biscuits, Slab Bacon Baked Beans, 4-cheese Mac 'n Cheese, Buttermilk Slaw, and Shoestring Fries, this makes us all so happy. It's been nice to order and pick up to take home, but they do have a comfortable seating area for everyone. Nice friendly staff, and have never had to wait to long to pick up an order. And still so much on their menu to try. Next up I have been hearing a lot about the Fried Chicken Sandwich and also the Chicken & Waffles. And don't forget to check out their cold case for their selection of pickles. We try a new one each time and they are delicious.
A solid 3.7 in my book. Wish we could give half ratings! Jonesy's Fried Chicken is a fresh spot in Goleta offering tasty chicken and fun sides! My boyfriend and I recently visited here craving some spicy fried chicken, and this restaurant delivered exactly that. The shop is in an unexpected location. Driving here we were like "are we going to a business or what?". You pull into a parking lot with 3 other businesses, and Jonesy's is right there. Not in your typical strip mall or anything. A surprise! The inside itself is cute and quaint. Nothing over the top and seats a few parties of people. We went around 4 pm, so it was not that busy. Only one other group, and then we ended up being the only folks inside. The staff were nice and very accommodating, which is a plus! We ordered the Korean hot chicken sandwich, Georgia peach sandwich, Nashville fries, and an order of Mac and cheese. The sandwiches come al a carte, which was a bummer. We spent $48 on this meal, which was steep. This immediately knocked our ratings down sadly. Korean Chicken Sandwich - Very good! My favorite item of the meal! The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauces and fixings were really good too. The chicken was a bit thin, which was unfortunate. ALSO A HEADS UP: if you have the gene where cilantro tastes like soap, either skip this or say not cilantro because it has a lot of it!! I love the choice of bread they used for this. A tip from me is to pour the brine from the green tomato's (or tomatillos? We were unsure!) onto your sandwich! Adds acidity and balanced it even better. Georgia Peach - Pretty good! Size was a bit disappointing for $17 JUST FOR THE SANDWICH. Biscuit was light and crisp with a fluffy interior. The peaches were interested. Was expecting them to be fresh or lightly macerated/cooked, but they tasted jarred. There was a hot honey sauce on here that was pretty good too! Mac and Cheese - Very cheesy! Good flavor, tastes like sharp white cheddar, maybe fontina, maybe Parmesan? It was a 4 cheese Mac and they made that very clear. Downside is that it comes with bread crumbs on top. Our preference would've been for this dish to be baked in a tray with cheese on top, and then scooped out for each serving. Nashville Fries - These came out entirely cold, which was a bummer. The fries were soggy and didn't hit anything out of the park. Got the job done. Just wish it was fresh since that is expected overall. Overall, this place is pretty good. Is the price of each sandwich worth it in our opinions? No. We wish the sandwiches were actual meals with a drink and a small fry. Paying $16-18 for just a sandwich is wrong. $16-18 for a meal however, is not! We totally want to come back to try some regular chicken, since those deals seem more worth it. Not a bad place, but not entirely worth our money!
I don't know what sorcery Jonesy's is using to get their fried chicken to be so crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside but I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT! This is my second visit to Jonesy's and loved it just as much as my first visit. This visit I got to try the Georgia peach sandwich and holy moly, that is delicious! Their huge and flavorful fried chicken fillet with hot honey and peaches on a delectable biscuit. Wow! It was such a star of a sandwich. I've had their Korean Nashville hot and that was a standout too. So unique and great taste. I love Jonesy's pickles; perfect crunch and flavor. Their lemonade tasted a bit on the older side but still drinkable. I'm sure it's great when fresh. Their staff has been so great every time. Friendly and attentive. Parking is a bit tricky but there's options around the restaurant. Don't let the tire shops and surrounding area of the restaurant fool you. Jonesy's is a must when in the area....or even when you're not. Worth the drive if not local!
Recently got to try this spot and it was delicious! The buffalo chicken wrap is so yummy. It's got a great amount of sauce and it's full of flavor. I opted for a side of Nashville Hot Fries and it was A LOT. I definitely recommend sharing. The serving is generous. I love the Nashville seasoning adding some heat. The service is great and parking was so easy right in front of the restaurant. Jonesy's is a hidden gem that I'm glad to have discovered!

Overall I really enjoyed this place and they were some of the better chicken tendy's I had in a long while, especially in SB. I got the 5 piece platter for around $25 but EASILY enough to share with 2 people or just have leftovers and felt it was worth the price tag. Everything came out super fresh and hot which is always appreciated. Tenders were very good size, very crunchy and cooked well. The fries were great, and both the mac/slaw were solid as well. Staff was polite and helpful on answering any questions. Location inside is on the smaller side but does have some seating. Might be better off just taking to-go during rush hour though. Parking for the location is awful though because of where it's at so you might have to walk a bit and find street parking somewhere. Overall a really solid spot and I'd definitely return to try one of the sandwiches and the banana pudding next time for suuure! read more

Snappy good cutting -edge excellent fried ORGANIC chicken joint! Locally owned. I love the whole concept of a fun fast casual spot that focuses on organic and local. They just don't really exist here....until now, and done well, at Jonesy's. SO happy!!! All their fried chicken sandwiches are made with Organic Mary's chicken. Yay! Lightly, expertly fried in peanut oil. Mouth watering menu. You can for the the original ( which I had today and highly recommend), or go a little Korean spicy, or savory sweet with peach and hot honey. BIG YUM! Can't wait to try them all. Sandwich is big and delicious. Lettuce, sauce, plentiful pickles, and bun do their part to hold together and frame the chicken star. Perfect for when you are wolf hungry. Will satisfy. Fun fries option. Tempted, but I do wish the potatoes were organic or something of a stand out quality. Biscuits. Pickles. Pop in glass bottles. Pudding. They have pudding!!! Really scrumptious house-made banana pudding with crispy cookies and that cool creamy not-too- sweet- thick yummyness. Easy to go into a trance eating it. And where else can you get pudding in SB/ Goleta? Only Jonesy's. Great, hospitable service from Kyle and Rosario. Thoughtful touches here, like extra spicy sauces and salts available. Kyle said he wants you to be able to taste the quality, but honors the spice freaks. Separate fryers for gluten free and gluten free buns available. Everything very clear and clean here. Two gender neutral bathrooms: clean, straightforward. and well stocked. Not hard to find, just off the beaten path. And isn't that just where the best places are.... On Orange street, just off Hollister in Old Town Goleta, go past Gaviota street, past Pepe's and a big building with Crossfit studio, in same complex as a key shop. Parking spots available right in front of establishment and also behind, and pretty easy street parking. They will soon have a second location on De la Vina and Mission, in the Old Derf's. Will have beer and later hours. For now, this gem is open 11-7 Wednesday- Sunday. read more

I was lucky enough to be part of a big online group order with friends when I was recently visiting Goleta. Didn't go into the restaurant so I can't say much about that, but their service and food is AMAZING! I gave them a courtesy call to provide early warning that a big online order was heading their way later that afternoon. The gent I spoke with was helpful and seemed appreciative of the heads up. Oh. My. Goodness! We were all so giddy as we unpacked bag after bag of grub. All well marked so we knew which order was whose and such. (Except for the sauces, which could have been slightly helpful but they're pretty straightforward.) We seemingly ordered nearly everything on the menu besides the entree salads. Reports of the Korean Nashville hot sandwich with kimchi aioli were most excellent. The half-dozen mini biscuits with honey-cayenne butter and preserves were terrific. The crunchy fried mac and cheese balls were killer. Even their pickles, pickled peppers and Texas toast were delicious! I opted for the Three & Two - three chicken tenders & two sides - with buttermilk slaw and the most incredible bacon baked beans. Seriously, people. I instantly proclaimed that these were the best baked beans I've ever had in my life! Which immediately drew disbelief from my friends. And I get that. It's a big claim. But I eventually shared bites with those interested and there was agreement that these beans were absolutely incredible! 20 thumbs up from our gang! Can't wait to return to Goleta just to go back to Jonesy's! read more
Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken wings that came with a pickle and toast. I always have a habit of breaking chicken apart and I'm happy that I did. As seen in the attached photos, the wings weren't properly cooked and had blood! I was so upset, by the time I saw this, the restaurant was already closed so there was nothing that I can do. Between this and standing at the counter for more than 5 minutes without being acknowledged, I don't plan on returning. read more
Finally made it to Jonesy's and so glad that we did! Please keep in mind that they are brand new and the wait can be long, but it's worth it! We got the Three & Two along with the JFC Chicken. The chicken alone was worth the wait! It was tender, juicy, crispy, and flavorful!!! So so good! The portions were generous and we were satisfied with every bite. Highly recommend these options! The only things that we did not enjoy too much were the Hot Honey side sauce and the Banana Foster pudding. Tons of whipped cream, barely any pudding. I know as they find their footing and gather feedback, I would love to give it a second try. But for a grand opening, we were very impressed! Can't wait to come back and meet the owner! read more

We have a new restaurant in town and it ain't KFC, but it's JFC and I am here for it! Jonesy's Fried Chicken has only been open for two days now, so you can expect a long line and about a 15-20 minute wait time. The crew is working hard and running around trying to keep up with the orders, so come with patience! I came here on my lunch hour with co-workers, and I already knew we would be cutting it close by making it back to work on time. Luckily we ordered our food to go, but they do have a communal table and a fair amount of seating throughout the restaurant. Ambiance is casual, a little tight yet functional. I was so glad to see that they're serving Organic and Free Range Mary's Chickens here! I usually buy this brand if I'm making chicken at home, so this was a nice surprise to see that they use it here. As for my order; I decided to get the Chicken n Waffles and the Mac n Cheese balls. Both were excellent and full of flavor. The Chicken was perfectly seasoned and not too salty. I was hoping it wouldn't be overly salty as fried chicken tends to be, and they got it just right! I was in heaven eating this. The Mac N Cheese balls were perfectly fried, crispy, and cheesy. They were probably the best ones I've tried thus far. I also bought a side of their JFC dipping sauce. Not sure what's in it, but it was yummy! The Angry Bird Fries don't travel well if taking them to go. I highly recommend ordering them if you plan to dine at the restaurant. They were cold, soggy and didn't justify the price for $12. My co-worker ordered the Georgia Peach which is a buttermilk fried chicken breast on a buttermilk biscuit with peaches and hot honey. He thoroughly enjoyed it! He also ordered the pimento cheese & crackers. I was able to try it and it was creamy and delicious. The Buffalo Bird was devoured by my other co-worker! She also enjoyed it. Overall, I am happy to see this new restaurant serving up fried chicken and offering it in many varieties. I also appreciate that they are using a high quality chicken. I have to say. The fried chicken was different but need to perfect Californian tastes Buds. I tried this place on the way back from Santa Barbara and the review was decent. When I was there I notice most of the customers are friend and neighbor that are trying to support his business which is cool. But been eating Fry chicken all over USA and the world. Most successful restaurant need to modify their food to cater the local first before venture out to the original taste. Still good just need for adjusting. Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 3 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Not a good parking . Only few parking space in parking lot, and for street parking is also limited 2) Decoration : (4 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean and still fairly new. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are above average. 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of American fry food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in east/ mid east coast. Not bad! But some dishes still needed modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Finally got around to trying this new Goleta hidden gem! I agree with other reviews that parking is terrible but honestly it's worth it imo. Tips: go during less peak hours for good parking and short lines! There are two drink coolers to the left on the back wall when you are ordering at the counter so don't think fountain drinks are the only option. Started off with the mini buttermilk biscuits with cayenne honey butter and blueberry preserves. I could easily eat 25 of these they are soo good. The cayenne honey butter had a little kick to it and complimented the blueberry preserves really well. The JFC original sandwich was HUGE! Such a good portion for the price. Great flavor and really moist chicken. The tenders were awesome, moist on the inside with a perfect crunchy exterior. The pickles were fresh and crunchy but you only get 2 pieces and I'm a pickle girl so I would've liked more. The fries were honestly trash, cold and hard, but the other sides I got made up for it 100%. Best beans and Mac n cheese I've had in town period. The Mac was so rich and flavorful, and the beans were a little spicy and sweet with pieces of crispy bacon in them. I did not get a chance to try any desserts because I was so stuffed after this meal but I will definitely be back to try them. Awesome new spot in Old Town Goleta. I went in today and had the Buffalo Bird chicken sandwich. By far one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! The service was fairly quick but it was definitely worth the wait! The place is a very casual diner and I'm looking forward to trying more things on the menu. Hoping this place makes it and definitely worth checking out! read more

Oh Jonesy's, how my tastebuds adore thee. Let me count the ways! I love how close and accessible Jonesy's is in Goleta. I'll pick a friend up at the airport and take them strait to Jonesy's to start their trip off with a bang! Ambiance is very cool. The seating and long communal table are a lot of fun. It's clean, hip and the staff are so knowledgeable and patient when I'm indecisive about wanting everything on offer on the menu! I usually go for their chicken tenders- high quality, juicy and cooked to perfection with the best batter ever. Their dipping sauces are to die for- I highly recommend the hot honey and ranch. Or all of them. The sides are delicious- including Mac 'n cheese and pickled goodies. You will leave this fine establishment satiated and with a sunnier disposition.
