brunch was great, we got our $30 unlimited boozy brunch worth of goodness, it was rocky at start but cuteness wait staff picked up the game and we ended with a good taste in our mouth (Sunday -Funday!!) would go back and would recommend. read more

This place is highly unprofessional. My friend had reserved a ladies brunch reserved for this Sunday and then she received an email saying that they can not accommodate her party and to come and pick up her deposit. No explanation no nothing. Wtf? Who does this? I will never even walk near this place and I know the other ladies in the group will never step foot in this establishment. read more

I really wish I could eat dinner here every night. Everything on the menu is really, really good. Personal faves: short rib and the salmon. The owner is super nice and committed to good food and good customer service. Great drink specials as well. Always a good time at Rustik! read more

It was love at first sight and nearly two years later, Rustik and I are still going strong. To help you understand how much I adore this spot -- we are long distance. I take two trains to get there. I also don't really drink or like bars - except for this one. Ok, so what is the magic? Simply put, everything is warm. The decor, the staff, the patrons. This is truly a multicultural "Cheers" where everyone really does know your name and really is glad you came. In fact, Rustik is the type of spot you can go to alone and leave with a bunch of new friends including the owner. Frantz knows everyone and everyone knows Frantz. Oh yeah and the food. I am a bit of a foodie so my bar is set somewhat high. Rustik meets it. The turkey chili, shortrib, nachos, and shrimp dishes are tremendous...literally and figuratively. Good size portions and reasonable prices. I don't see this love affair ending anytime soon. And while I would normally hate to share, Rustik is just too good to keep to myself. read more

Had a ok time here. Good atmosphere, wasn't too loud. Benedict was tasty. Great mimosas. Courteous bartender. I had to sit at a bar but it ok. Convenient to G train. Across from a housing projects so not a place to be cute and be seen. Just a really good sports bar and restaurant. Will come again. read more

To be completely honest, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would! First off, the music was SOOOO loud. I could barely hear boyfriend. Second, the waiter was terrible. My boyfriend's chicken burger was extremely chewy. He couldn't even finish it. My salmon dish was okay, BUT it was super salty. THENNNNNN the waiter never gave me a fork set so I sat there for 5 minutes waiting for him to come back thinking he forgot it and was coming back out. My boyfriend had to walk to the kitchen to get me a fork. Terrible experience. read more

The food is TERRIBLE. I am still ill from something I ate there yesterday, and the service totally sucks. Stay far away unless you want to pay way too much for a two day stomach ache. read more

I really enjoyed this cute little spot nestled among the buildings along DeKalb Ave. If you are not sure where you are headed you can easily miss it. The décor is fabulous and RUSTIC!!! The brick walls are covered with shelves of old National Geographic magazines, Sugar Hill 12 inches and Commodores albums. I thought that was pretty cool. During brunch an actual DJ spins R&B for the patrons to enjoy. An old wooden church pew sits next to the door and wooden tables with bench line the wall. At first I was a bit apprehensive because I was going to have brunch with my mother and I know she would not want to sit "at a fancy picnic table." There was no need for my fears because the hostess led us to the back of the restaurant and up about four steps to a table with chairs. The restaurant has a bar and televisions tuned in to the game. I was really feeling the ambiance in this place. Service is quick. We ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Butcherboy sliders, which are turkey burgers with caramelized onions. The food was okay, nothing to brag about. I will definitely return during dinner hours, so I can check out that menu. I did, however, get the impression that although this place was packed, most people were there for drinks. read more

The fried chicken skin was the only seasoned part of the chicken. The waffle was bland, the service took longer than necessary for some waffles and eggs. Ran out of pretty much everything I wanted at 4pm (no french toast or cremè brûlée). Crab cakes and fried cheesecake was the saving grace.... if you happen to go here, try that. read more

It was four of us for lunch the server was pleasant and attentive. The Spinach/Artichoke dip was excellent and enough for us all to share. Three of us had burgers, one person had the fish sliders everyone was pleased with our meals and will return again. read more

I give this place 5 stars because I live around the block and I come here too much. I usually have a couple of happy hour drinks which are only $3. If that's what you need, this is the place. The crowd is usually non-existent and the staff is cool and nice. I leave happy. read more

Very nice atmosphere and waiters/waitresses. The food has always been consistently good since my first visit several years ago. All around nice local place to grab food or a drink. read more

Went for Saturday brunch shortly after it began. There were only about 4 or 5 other patrons. We were seated immediately. Service was good and attentive until it got a little busier when we had to get our waitress's attention for refills on the drinks. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Waffles were pretty okay, but the real star was the fried chicken. Perfection! Would love to go back and have the dessert as well! read more

Came here to watch a game and eat brunch. Dutch pancake was super weird and disappointing, Turkey bacon was okay, deviled eggs were just okay, fries were good but small portion. Basically this place is just too lackluster to be as pricey as it is. Also, our waitress did not seem to know we exist, standing on her phone right in front of us and our empty water glasses that she only got filled when we asked. Just don't spend your $$$ here! read more

I've been to Rustik many times and I've always had a great time. It's easy to get to and I love the laid-back atmosphere. The drinks are on point and the food needs a little improvement. I do agree with some of the reviews the service is a little slow and needs to be worked on. Overall, great hang spot in Brooklyn, wish them best of luck!! read more

Underwhelmed with the food and service. My friends and I went here for brunch. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was bland and the waffle was just ok. My friend really enjoyed the roasted beer and kale salad. I doubt I'll return. read more

Pretty cool spot. The food was good, the service was super friendly, and....we were able to watch the HILARIOUS comedy show after our dinner! Had no idea it was comedy night, so it turned out to be one helluva good time all around. I definitely need to head back to this place again for comedy night. read more

Love this place. Nice vibe and ambiance. Attentive and easygoing staff. Unlimited drink options available making it worth your while.

I liked Rustik more for the atmosphere than anything else. We went this afternoon to catch one of the World Cup games, and it had a good amount of people but wasn't too crowded to get a table. They were luckily having happy hour which meant that beers were only $3 a pop. The food was OK, we ordered a sampler that included a burger, except they don't tell you that the burger is a slider. But I have to say I still really like Rustik, because of the comfy chairs and couches, and cute garden patio. It seems like one of the nicer spots for this neighborhood and so I can't complain about that. read more

Awesome bartender and amazing food! Very chill vibes with the motown music make it the perfect place to take a load off and relax.

I like it. I've gone there twice so far (they have open-mic on Tuesdays or Thursdays...I can't remember). First experience was the night of the Celtics/Lakers game, nice turn out, great band/music, beautiful patio, very comfy setting. The second time I went, the same band wasn't that great and I was a bit bored. I'll go again maybe... read more

In thought they had weekly brunch specials but to my surprise only weekend brunch. Good service however my friend & I were the only ones there. The drinks were Ok. I'll try again on a weekend read more

Great place, food was good and the waiter kept bringing back some strong unlimited drinks. I enjoyed every sip. The ambiance and decor was nice as well. I enjoyed my time here and would definitely go back. read more

Keith was awesome! Brunch was delicious and the bottomless mimosas were a hit! Thank you for the delicious food and service!

It was cool here. I popped in here randomly on a Sat night on a girlfriends bday and ordered delicious sweet drinks I forgot what it was called but it was so good. They were playing the best oldies and the crowd was nice and chill. read more

Thought this place was pretty solid when I ordered chicken and waffles but then I ordered a seafood dish and got sick. Questionable. And they are always out of their peach pie. read more

This place has great food and customer service. Looking for some good French toast, a vegetarian omelette, and a mimosa (Bellini)? This is your spot! I'll be back again. read more

I had the opportunity to host my birthday brunch at Rustik. They have a beautiful space next door for private events, and Josi the event coordinator was so nice and accommodating. My guests enjoyed the food and unlimited mimosas and bellinis. I enjoyed my Steak entree and the Bellinis were delicious !! GULP GULP. The waiters, bartender, and hostess were impeccably attentive and my day was extremely special because of their service. THANK YOU. Bottomless drinks were always filled and the food was served hot and delicious. I usually come here once in a while on the weekdays for happy hour. It's a great space and has a lot of potential. I didn't give it 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. My birthday was extra special because of Josi and all of the staff who services my party. The owner was even great, accommodating me in spite of a few hiccups. Thank you!! The slider platter was amazing!!! I will definitely be back for brunch on a smaller scale. I cannot wait to try the chicken and waffles! read more

Great place. Went there during Saturday brunch and asked if we could order coffee and work on our computers (which isn't always cool with restaurants), and they said yes without hesitation. We eventually ordered food and mimosas, and we're quite please with all of it. Moreover, our waitress was lovely. I'd go back for sure. Especially since they have games like scrabble. read more

I really hate to give this place such a bad review but it is what it is. I came here for a pre-Jouvert party and was enjoying myself. I stood at the bar after dancing up a mini - storm to get a drink. I waited a while until the couple that was in front of me ordered and left. I moved up into their spot at the bar and waited and waited. Understandably, the bar was crowded so naturally I waited my turn. I started to get frustrated when people who came up to the bar AFTER me received drinks BEFORE me. At that point, I asked the male bartender who was standing in front of me making a drink if I could order next. He didn't even acknowledge me. He then went on to continue to take orders from everyone at the bar except for me. I guess he didn't want my money. The poor customer service that I received was a major turn off. read more

I love this place. I've visited a couple times, the food, atmosphere and service was great. If you arrive expecting fast everything you might not be happy that your food isn't on the table in ten minutes, but if you are looking for brunch with friends where drinks are delicious, food is wonderful, and experience is fresh, this is the spot read more

Keith and June were fabulous! Quality service and fantastic food! Such an amazing vibe with fantastic music!! We will be back soon! We recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great brunch in Brooklyn! read more

Great food.. Poor service. Our waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink with our food...she didn't even give us tap water.

This is place has never disappointed me. A real "Good People" place. Constantly changing theme nights, kareoke, old school hits, courtyard BBQ's and the list goes on. Drinks specials are a great introduction to "your" new favorite drink. I recommend the mussles! A must have dish per visit! read more

It was ladies' night with my two friends, as we often go out to dinner just to relax, shoot the breeze and enjoy a good meal. Well, this was our first time coming to Rustic and I was not impressed. The waiter was unfamiliar with an item on the menu. He said he's usually afternoon staff so he did not know what it was. Anyway, he did go ask what it was for me. Ok. So I decided to give it a go. I placed my order, short ribs with polenta (the item in question). The ribs looked delicious yet not quite the appropriate portion for the price they were asking. As I started my meal, it tasted great! Unfortunately, it was impossible to get through the second piece of meat - it was so hard and overcooked that I could've pulled a tooth out attempting to consume it. And this for $18.00!!!! Really? I did not have the nerve to tell the owner how the meal really was when he came around with a sort of guilty look on his face, asking how everything was. I was just assuming that since it was Christmas Eve the cook was trying to get out of the kitchen and go home, so I didn't raise a stink. Still, though, if I'm plunking down $18 for a meal, it better be worth it - and it wasn't. Interestingly, when my friends and I were leaving, the owner was chowing down on ribs at the bar. I'm certain his meat was, unlike mine, tender and good. I tasted some of my friends' fries and they were dry and tasteless. How sad. As I was paying my bill I contemplated what I would eat when I got home because I was more hungry leaving the restaurant than when I entered. I ended up eating a bowl of cereal. My friends enjoyed their meals, a burger and cornish hen, respectively. Should they choose to go back to this place I will not be coming with them. I did not get my money's worth, plus the polenta was awful! Ugh! read more

Got a reservation for 2:00, arrived at 1:50, left at 3:00 after never getting a table... So unorganized.

I love their salmon, kale & mashed potatoes platter. Also their apple glazed pork chops with kale & mash is cooked to perfection!! :) once in a while I order the bbq ribs I enjoy them too. Overall this is one of my go to places for a tasty and filling meal. read more

I'm a fan of Rustiks Tavern, a nice local place to have good drinks, good food with good friends, have visited only twice but plan to visit more often, the spot is really "homie" and welcoming, the location isn't the best, but their patio makes you feel away. Very friendly staff. I recommend for a good local spot. read more

I came here on a weeknight to find that karaoke night was on and poppin.' They were very welcoming and encouraged everyone to participate but when it started it was quite clear that this karaoke was not for the faint of heart. There were serious professionals up there but everyone looked like they were having a great time. We just stayed for a cider but I want to come back and try out their menu. It looks delicious. read more
