We tried their magical dining menu. For appetizers, I got the ahi tuna and my fiance got Pincho me spicy. They were both pretty good for what it is. The ahi tuna was a generous serving and tasted fresh. The kimchi cabbage slaw was a little salty and not too spicy. The wasabi avocado was tasty and good paired with the tuna. I would say if there was a slight hint of sweetness to the wasabi avocado it would be perfect. The pincho me spicy skewers were amazing! Good medium rare steak and the sauce was really good. I would definitely go back for the skewers. For our main course, I ordered the fresh catch and my fiance got the filet. The fresh catch was not good at all. The "blue crab risotto" was creamy rice. They did not use risotto. I'm Asian I would know risotto from rice lol. The fish was cooked well but the seasoning was pretty basic. My fiance enjoyed the Filet he ordered. He says he doesn't know if it's the sauce or the meat, but he just knows he loves it. For our dessert, I ordered pistachio bread pudding and my fiance ordered espresso tres leches. They were both very good! My bread pudding was a corner piece and I looooved the chewiness of it. The whole thing was flavorful. I loved the crunch added on by the pistachio. I tried the tres leches and it was good as well. It's like a mixture of tiramisu and tres leches. The desserts don't disappoint! Overall, the service was good can't complain. Our server was attentive and nice.

I love Rusteak, I have always loved Rusteak. I used to frequent their College Park location but I guess I haven't written a review for the Thornton location. If you are looking for amazing, American style food, this is the spot. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the food is fabulous! We ended up there on a random Sunday for brunch, there were ten of us and they graciously allowed us without a reservation. We were going to go to another restaurant (not my decision) but when we were turned away even after being told to be there at opening if we didn't have a reservation, I suggested Rusteak. The group agreed, as they were all stuffing their faces, that the menu, prices and portions were better at Rusteak anyway. I replied "I know, I didn't really want to go to ___ in the first place." Rusteak has always been a place I recommend when people ask for restaurants to take friends or family to. I think it's a great representation of some of the fabulous food Orlando has to offer. At brunch I got the chicken and waffles, they were massive and so tasty! I would have loved some type of syrup sauce to go with them but they were still delicious as is. My fiance got the special, something with lobster and maybe chili oil? I'm not a big fan of lobster (I know, shoot me) but omg it was fantastic! I was seriously jealous of his meal. Time and time again, Rusteak has proven to be a consistent staple in the Orlando food scene. If you haven't been, I highly suggest you check it out!

I have been here a few times, and I do like the food and the atmosphere. This time I ordered a tofu scramble and loaded potatoes. The tofu didn't come out scrambled exactly (lol) but everything was seasoned well. My friend got a burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had due to the bacon jam. This is a good spot for a date night or to grab a meal with friends. It's clean and they have good service.

Rusteak, being one of the most well-known American food restaurants in downtown, had been on my bookmarks for a while. I had no idea it was a spin-off of Teak Neighborhood Grill. The name seems like a play on the word "rustic," but honestly, I didn't find anything particularly rustic about it. I went there for lunch on a Sunday, and it wasn't too crowded -- just the right amount of people, so it didn't feel too busy or too empty to the point of wanting to head back home. I ordered the Brunch Burger without the bun, paired with a side of greens, and it was delicious. The bacon was cooked to perfection, and the burger, which I asked for medium, was cooked just right. Service was as expected (also just right). :)

Came in for brunch and overall enjoyed the food & service. They have a nice selection of menu items to choose from and everything we ordered was good for the most part; the potatoes were slightly oily and my fiancé mentioned the shrimp and grits would've been better with a sauce, but still overall we had a nice experience.

Let's start by saying what a great Happy hour location. We were there at 5pm on a Thursday and was not very busy initially, but got busier the longer we were there. Happy hour is 20% off signature cocktails and apps. They have a good selection of apps and cocktails for the happy hour, with great bartenders who make them up for you. We did have to wait a minute for the cocktails but it was understandable as they were involved and they were also doing prep work for the on coming crowd that showed up. We did get an app I forgot to take a picture of which was the pretzel rolls with a delicious melted smoked Gouda dip and sweet mustard dip. They were fresh and hot with no complaints. I highly recommend stopping here for bites and happy hour.

Tried Rusteak and did their Bite30 menu! It was a wonderful experience. Had their steak skewers, streak frites, mussels and their cannoli bread pudding. Also had a wonderful bottle of wine. The service was great and they personalized the experience for my birthday. Thought the environment was fun.

Came here around 5:30 pm with my wife. They said they only had outside and bar sitting.. which was weird because the place was half empty. I counted 7 empty tables inside. Those tables never filled up.. I counted 2 empty when we left. So I'm not sure why we were made To seat at the bar. I don't mind sitting at the bar when the place is full.. but this place was half empty. The food was ok. I didn't like the pimento sandwich.. it was boring. The steak fries was good but a bit rough to chew.. fries were amazing and the pistachio bread pudding was also amazing.

Really happy with the Bite30 menu and service. One of the reasons I look forward to bite30 is the excuse to try a new place and Rusteak didn't disappoint. Our server was really lovely and our food was delicious. The steak frites could have used more seasoning, but I asked for the sake glaze and it perked it right up. Would definitely recommend

Great friendly service and delicious food. For lunch I had the Tomato Jam Jar for my starter, Korean burger with maple bacon Brussels sprouts as the side, and the pistachio bread pudding for dessert, topped off with an old-fashioned. My future self is so excited about the leftovers, and the Brussels sprouts deserve their own section on the menu!

Came across Rusteak by recommendation, me and my wife decided to check it out, lunchtime 130 walked in greeted immediately at the door, young lady was very nice. decided to seat us at a high top table which we declined and asked for a table. No issues within five minutes we had a table after they cleaned it up, the same young lady that set us took care of us gathering a cocktail order as she seated us, dropping menus and welcoming us to the restaurant, wife ordered the sangria I ordered an Arnold Palmer, appetizer the blue crab, crabcake and mushroom soup, for the main courses. I had the 55, wife had steak and fries , soup, arriving within five minutes hot and delicious earthy and rich, two minutes later crabcake appetizer arrived, two cakes full-bodied fantastic lots of flavor with a wonderful mustard sauce that was a company the cake awesome! At this time, the entire restaurant emptied out, just me and the wife here very nice making way for the main courses to arrive, nice presentation great flavors, generous portions! Actually too much to eat, which we packed up to take home, but not without ordering a carrot cake to go and while sitting there a pistachio bread pudding for the finale! Our waitress Renée was phenomenal. Always checking in always right there. This was a great experience if you're in the area take a look you won't be disappointed! I have spoken...

This was my first time trying Rusteak near Lake Eola. I went there for their Magical Dining menu. Everything was great about the experience and menu. Our waiter did a great job walking through all the dining options for us. For appetizer I got the crab cakes. They were really good and that's a compliment since I was born and raised in MD! The main course I got the NY strip steak which was also good. It came with mash potatoes and spinach. For dessert my wife tried the pistachio pudding and I had the carrot cake. Both desserts were really big portions and tasted great. I'm not a dessert person but it was pretty good. At this point I could hardly eat. Overall this place was good. I'll definitely try again. They also had some solid craft beer options if you're a craft beer drinker.

Wouldn't order this again. Second, I tried a $17 Adam & Eve. I wish the matcha was much stronger. There's a place in Tampa called Tori Bar that has a super duper matcha tasting cocktail. This one was much lighter. It was fine, not my favorite. Maybe I'd bring a date here sometime, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

We were especially impressed that servers not tending to our table placed orders/knew of orders and communicated with the waitress serving us. Most restaurants struggle to keep orders ready with the designated server, this place EXCELLED with communication. We all enjoyed a variety of different cocktails, all of which were delicious (however a bit pricy for some) and all partook in appetizers and entrees. Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

That said, parking can be hard to find. I've also been here during the day time one time and their kitchen was closed for a couple hours for serving food, so I left. Because of this, when I arrived yesterday, I immediately asked them what time their kitchen closed and their kitchen closed an hour before close. So keep that in mind as well. I sat at the bar. Service was good. Food was amazing! I got their dumplings, miso toast, risotto, and their creme brûlée. Everything was so fantastic, except the miso toast. It was good but I wouldn't get it again. The crème brûlée was so amazing! The chocolate espresso beans were 10/10. I ALMOST tipped them 50% of my bill! So as a server, thankfully I caught this. In the very back of their menu, it says an automatic 20% gratuity is applied to every check, which is kinda crazy to be honest. I was already going to tip him 30%. So it would have been 20% and 30% tip. So be very aware that they're already applying the tip to everyone's bill and it was just me, one person! I would definitely come back here but just keep in mind their kitchen isn't always open, parking can be hard to find at times, and the auto gratuity.

I don't typically start off reviews with a shout out - but this experience stood out and is…read moredeserving of one. George, thank you so much for such a wonderful first experience here. From drinks to tapas, to a nice conversation about similarities - it was a perfect date night for us. My fiance ordered a couple of Old Fashions and myself some margaritas. It was Thursday which is all-day HH after 4pm. We shared the famous deviled eggs and potato croquettes. Food was delicious and drinks were strong. What started as "let's get a drink," to two-hours later. This establishment is the middle of relaxing to upscale. The demographics fit the scene. Everyone was pleasant and respectful. ** Make a reservation. We did for 6pm and it was quite packed for a Thursday. Parking is limited. We were lucky to find street parking with no parking hours. Thank you, George again. Little did you know that we celebrated a milestone tonight. I quit my corporate job of five-years and today was my first week at my dream job. You didn't know, but your exceptional service tonight felt like you did. We need more of you. We can't wait to dine in next! We hope you're our server again!
