Right in downtown Orlando sits this cute little brunch restaurant. This was my first visit and it did not disappoint at all.. We did a girls brunch and what a beautiful day it was to sit outside to enjoy some great food and fresh air. They have an outside patio to dine on and the inside at the restaurant had plenty of seating. There was a bar with seating and private room in the back for parties. This establishment was very clean and cutely decorated. They have a small board before entering that has their daily specials, and they have a big chalkboard behind the hose stand that also list their daily special specials. We attended Rusteak for brunch. We started with mimosas. Our appetizer was tomato jam jar, which came with naan bread and a cute little glass jar that was layered with ricotta cheese, spinach pesto, and tomatoe jam. I was a little cautious about trying it, but it was amazing flavor. Our brunch meals were phenomenal. Our server was great. She was prompt on taking care of us and continuing to check up on us.. she made sure that we had everything we needed in. Our meals were great. She was kind and attentive to us. I will definitely be having another girls brunch at rusteak! Cheers!
Rusteak is WOW! Located in Thornton Park this tasty gastro restaurant is amazing. There's a few sections to the place. Main area is open area with a bar (generally louder), they have a large private room in the middle and then hidden room in the back is the speakeasy vibe location. Ambiance is cozy and the staff is very nice! Our waitress/bartender, Gigi handled both jobs with ease. She was friendly, knowledgeable and great to chat with - you won't be disappointed if you're lucky to have her. Now to the food. Let's say we'll be back because everything looks amazing and the price point was very good (especially for now!). We started with the wedge salad and mushroom Brie bisque soup. Both were fantastic and each was elevated from what you may have had at other restaurants. I highly recommend both items! The salad had petite size cranberries and the bacon was in med/small chunks with yummy blue cheese We also had the mussels and crab cake. The mussels is a LARGE portion, perfect the mussel lover in you. The crab cake was delicious with great flavor and the crab was very prominent in the cake! Lastly we also got the keto keto dish- which is salmon, asparagus and cheddar and pancetta cauliflower casserole. chef kiss! Fabulous place, go check them out. See you soon GiGi
First time dining at RusTeak in Thornton Park. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch drinks and time to catch up. I enjoyed the Salmon salad and my guest enjoyed her Gent salad. Our server was Kelly and she was awesome. She was conscientious and we didn't feel rushed to give up our table. The vibe in the restaurant was nice with a view out both windows. There is two hour parking on the street to the north of the restaurant and a paid garage next door.
This is one of our Orlando favorites. Has a great ambiance. We enjoy sitting at the bar. Brandon is always welcoming and makes great drinks. My husband really enjoys his old fashion. The menu has a lot to offer and the food is always delicious. On our recent visit I got the Mahi dinner but exchanged the broccolini for asparagus. It was wonderful. Wednesday is 1/2 off wine and this bottle of Pinot Noir was wonderful.
The restaurant has a modern vibe. The crowd is 30-50 and up. We sat at the bar where Brannen took care of us. He was very attentive despite the full bar and concluding happy hour (25% off apps and drinks). We loved all our food except the crab cakes. They taste like freezer. Everything else was 20 out of 10! Like I've literally been craving the sweet potato tots since.
Ambiance at this Russell location is really nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Attended a graduation party here and they have a back room. They have great appetizers, the pincho steak and the crab cakes are such a hit. The pasta entrees were really filling and food comes out to order. I recommend the peach sangria. Happy Hour is 50%. Service was pretty good for the large party. Would come back again.
This was honestly the worst meal of my vacation. Getting a reservation was no problem at all. Upon sitting down we were given menus and water right away. Not sure if they were severely understaffed or what but service was terrible all night. My party of 6 all ordered the Rusteak burger and one southern gent salad. My burger came out medium and I specifically asked for rare or blue. The rest of the parties burgers were well done. Two of the burgers had no bacon, mine was missing tomato entirely. How are you a known burger spot if every single burger was errored in a different way. Everyone who ordered the bistro fries were undercooked and sopping with oil. My sweet potato tots did not come out until I asked my server where my side was. Her response was "oh let me go check". The side of bacon to add to the two burgers came out maybe 10-15 minutes after the fact and the burgers were cold by that point. I asked again for my side and she still did not have it. At this point I'm mostly done with my burger and my fries come out soggy and undercooked. The only quality food was the one salad ordered as how badly can one really mess up a salad. It also looked like every other table in our vicinity was waiting on their food to be corrected as well or just waiting. I would not recommend this Rusteak as there are far better options in Orlando to eat.
My husband and daughter surprised me with a birthday lunch today. We originally tried another restaurant, but the food was terrible and the place wasn't clean, so we left and walked over to Rusteak. We'd never been before, but decided to give it a shot. The lunch menu was decent. Honestly, I was still a little turned off from the first restaurant, so I wasn't sure what I wanted. I ended up ordering french fries and the Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon--and wow, those Brussels sprouts were AMAZING. The fries were hot, crispy, and flavorful, and the sweet tea was refreshing. My daughter loved her food, and my husband ordered the crab cakes. I don't think he enjoyed them because he only ate a few bites, I tasted one and wasn't impressed. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and comfortable, which helped reset the mood after our earlier disappointment. Overall, Rusteak was a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely come back again, especially for those Brussels sprouts and fries (a big plus-plus-plus for me!). Probably not for dinner since the menu didn't really grab me, but for lunch or a casual bite, it's a solid choice.
We tried their magical dining menu. For appetizers, I got the ahi tuna and my fiance got Pincho me spicy. They were both pretty good for what it is. The ahi tuna was a generous serving and tasted fresh. The kimchi cabbage slaw was a little salty and not too spicy. The wasabi avocado was tasty and good paired with the tuna. I would say if there was a slight hint of sweetness to the wasabi avocado it would be perfect. The pincho me spicy skewers were amazing! Good medium rare steak and the sauce was really good. I would definitely go back for the skewers. For our main course, I ordered the fresh catch and my fiance got the filet. The fresh catch was not good at all. The "blue crab risotto" was creamy rice. They did not use risotto. I'm Asian I would know risotto from rice lol. The fish was cooked well but the seasoning was pretty basic. My fiance enjoyed the Filet he ordered. He says he doesn't know if it's the sauce or the meat, but he just knows he loves it. For our dessert, I ordered pistachio bread pudding and my fiance ordered espresso tres leches. They were both very good! My bread pudding was a corner piece and I looooved the chewiness of it. The whole thing was flavorful. I loved the crunch added on by the pistachio. I tried the tres leches and it was good as well. It's like a mixture of tiramisu and tres leches. The desserts don't disappoint! Overall, the service was good can't complain. Our server was attentive and nice.
I love Rusteak, I have always loved Rusteak. I used to frequent their College Park location but I guess I haven't written a review for the Thornton location. If you are looking for amazing, American style food, this is the spot. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the food is fabulous! We ended up there on a random Sunday for brunch, there were ten of us and they graciously allowed us without a reservation. We were going to go to another restaurant (not my decision) but when we were turned away even after being told to be there at opening if we didn't have a reservation, I suggested Rusteak. The group agreed, as they were all stuffing their faces, that the menu, prices and portions were better at Rusteak anyway. I replied "I know, I didn't really want to go to ___ in the first place." Rusteak has always been a place I recommend when people ask for restaurants to take friends or family to. I think it's a great representation of some of the fabulous food Orlando has to offer. At brunch I got the chicken and waffles, they were massive and so tasty! I would have loved some type of syrup sauce to go with them but they were still delicious as is. My fiance got the special, something with lobster and maybe chili oil? I'm not a big fan of lobster (I know, shoot me) but omg it was fantastic! I was seriously jealous of his meal. Time and time again, Rusteak has proven to be a consistent staple in the Orlando food scene. If you haven't been, I highly suggest you check it out!
I have been here a few times, and I do like the food and the atmosphere. This time I ordered a tofu scramble and loaded potatoes. The tofu didn't come out scrambled exactly (lol) but everything was seasoned well. My friend got a burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had due to the bacon jam. This is a good spot for a date night or to grab a meal with friends. It's clean and they have good service.
We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I'm glad we discovered the place! The food, drinks, and service are spectacular! Plus, the ambiance is excellent. I will consider this as one of the top spots to eat/hangout when in Orlando!
Rusteak, being one of the most well-known American food restaurants in downtown, had been on my bookmarks for a while. I had no idea it was a spin-off of Teak Neighborhood Grill. The name seems like a play on the word "rustic," but honestly, I didn't find anything particularly rustic about it. I went there for lunch on a Sunday, and it wasn't too crowded -- just the right amount of people, so it didn't feel too busy or too empty to the point of wanting to head back home. I ordered the Brunch Burger without the bun, paired with a side of greens, and it was delicious. The bacon was cooked to perfection, and the burger, which I asked for medium, was cooked just right. Service was as expected (also just right). :)

We came for brunch on a Sunday Edith a reservation and was lucky to get a table. The food overall is very good. I got the salmon lox which was the closest thing to the salmon bagel lox that Is my favorite. It's was quite pricy for what it is $18 for a little bit of salmon on a single multi-grain toast. The smoked salmon was good but no where near the real salmon bagel lox so be warned lol. My friend got the tofu scrambled which was pretty yummy. She asked for the avocado spread which was a $4 extra charge. I'm curious on the other items on the brunch menu so I'd come back to try it out. read more

I used to come here pre-Covid before the menu changed. That DG donut breakfast thing was my favorite. I was SHOCKED when I went recently and saw the entire menu had been scrubbed. I was nervous and truthfully considered leaving, I'm so glad I stayed! Omg this new menu feels like home cooking which I love. Everything was so delicious! read more

Never had a meal here I didn't like. When I found out this restaurant was connected with stubborn mule, I had to go. Honestly, I feel the food is better than Stubborn Mule (did I say that?). Everyone here is always super nice and the food is always fresh and the drinks are great! IDefinitely recommend this restaurant. read more
We've always loved this place!! Especially when it was in College Park - the vibe was a little more intimate - maybe a little cooler too in a way. But this new location is nice - expansion is expected from a resto with reputation and longevity and amazing food and drink. I'm not a big fan of the "downtown scene" in general. But Rusteak keeps on going serving awesome flavors all around and it is one of the most reliably good places to got to in Orlando. Their craft cocktails have never disappointed. The food is always on point Tonight we had burgers but other nights have always been consistently good for us over the past 5 1/2 years in Orlando, and it's one of the top restaurants we recommend to visitors. Side note: The fries that come with the burgers are crispy delicious shoestring fries - not those soggy a$$ steak fries you get everywhere) They treat you well here and you can never go wrong with this being one of the tops on your list. read more
I have tried the RusTeak back in Ocoee when it was open and enjoyed it so I was happy to give this new location a try. It's in a convenient spot 2 blocks from Lake Eola on a corner with outdoor seating and a decent seating selection inside including a bar area. The restaurant was kept up nicely and the staff was friendly. I ordered the pretzel rolls as an app. And wowza they were delicious. I'm not even usually a big fan of soft pretzels but these were to die for. Highly recommend. The cheese and honey mustard sauces were perfect for dipping. For my entree I ordered the Hit The Road Jack with fries. I loved loved loved loved this sandwich. I'm all about sauces and the honey mustard provided to dip the sandwich in was *chefs kiss*. The havarti jalapeño cheese and maple bacon on top made the sandwich top tier. And the fries were seasoned and crispy also. read more
We were seated immediately, great service, and the food was delightful. I ordered their signature margarita which was very good and I ordered the brisket sandwich which was also delicious. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Coming from out of town, I wanted to check out a more local restaurant and this was a really great option. The drink menu was incredible! read more
I selected this location just for the crème brûlée and it did not let me know! It was extremely creamy with an amazing caramel top! The Moscow Mule was extremely strong and my server was great to point me in the right direction on what to eat. I had the Big Shrimping and that had some amazing flavor! However my favorite appetizer was the Burrata, because who doesn't love cheese! But this place is great for a nice date night or just for a nice quick drink within the area read more

Rusteak was such a good find! I was looking for a place with a good happy hour and stumbled on this spot. They have happy hour from 4-7 pm with deals such as $8 cocktails and 25% off all appetizers. Food 5/5- The food was phenomenal!!! I had 3 appetizers- the mussels, the shrimp and corn fritters and the big shrimping garlic shrimp. Everything was well prepared and hands down the best apps I've had in a while. Ambiance 5/5- It's definitely more of a rustic feel with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to go with a group of friends. Service 5/5- From the moment we entered the restaurant our experience was pleasant. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and also attentive. We sat outside and a fly died in one of our drinks (it was fruity) and she noticed it was only partially touched and she took it off the bill which was amazing. Just a heads up this is close to downtown so the parking is tight and mostly only street parking so be prepared for that. This area also gets busy at night so parking will be tight. Overall I will definitely be going back and I would say you should also check it out. read more

Went to the RusTeak tonight to celebrate my sons birthday! We made reservations and were seated right away. The atmosphere was nice not crowded and not loud. Our server was sweet and very attentive. We ordered appetizers the pretzel bread and wings which were delicious I recommend you order that if you go! Then we each ordered different meals, I had the chicken gnocchi it was 8/10 my son had the Jelly Belly burger he rated it 8.5/10 and my husband had the catch BLT he rated it at 7/10 he didn't care for the fish being on the sandwich. Drinks were good I had the heart break and it was good one drink had me tipsy lol. I would go back during happy hour for sure for those appetizers and drinks! Rusteak was delish! The ambiance is chill/casual. Our waiter was very attentive. The meal was YUMMY. I had the Keto keto keto. I substituted the asparagus for broccoli and casserole for mashed potatoes, and I asked for lobster thermidor sauce on the side (thank me later). It was a 9/10. The hit the road Jack burger was yummy! The ketchup tasted homemade, the fries were seasoned (I would have preferred salt and pepper only) but still delish. The carrot cake was underwhelming for me...... I would definitely not reorder that. Everything else I'd order again! read more

The Brisket Meltdown is one of my favorite sandwiches in Orlando. The three cheese blend and French onion flavors go great with the super tender brisket. The "Korean BBQ" fries were good, but turned out to be just fries. read more
The Rusteak Burger ($15) is my favorite burger in Orlando. The buttery bun, the tangy garlic cilantro sauce, the crunchy potato strings; it's a home run. Always pair it with a side of maple bacon brussels and you're in for a treat. read more

A delicious meal!!! So glad we decided to choose this place due to the fact that it's changes to so many different restaurant names over the last 6 years. Anyway, we decided to welcome this new place with open arms and try there magical dining and wow it was delicious. I love the "the favorite" conch fritters, the sauces that came with it were absolutely delicious and succulent. Then the Regina (main entree) was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the most delicious thing on the menu. To end, I had the coquito bread pudding and my partner had the cake and both were delicious but we were just stuffed and could not finish it all. I do recommend this venue and would come back for the dessert because it was truly the highlight of the meal for me. read more

Went to dinner with some friends that were visit from out of town. Very cute place. Great ambience and the specialty drink I tried was delicious. Had the steak with a mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes and it was delicious! The sauce was a perfect touch and very flavorful. My husband tried the shirt ribs and they were very tasty and so tender (melts in your mouth). We really enjoyed our dinner. read more
We originally were trying to go to the Stubborn Mule but the wait time was over an hour (and they just opened). I never heard of this place but I saw it out of the corner of my eye and decided to try my luck there. The ambiance of the place was a nice/rustic feel and the decor inside the bathrooms made me laugh lol. Overrall the food was pretty decent. I got the waffle and it was like brown sugar clusters inside so it made an interesting ; crunchy , sugary texture. Definitely a new flavor/taste of waffle for me. The servers were nice and I ended up spending over 2-3 hrs here just chilling by the bar. read more

We did Sunday brunch at Rusteak and it was pretty good. We sat outside and the view was nice. Server was friendly and we got our food quickly. The food was good but pricey. $15 for a Tofu scramble with no sides and another #15 for a single slice of French toast with breakfast potatoes seemed like too much. Everything was tasty though. read more

Another date and another fun time at Rusteak. I was a little bummed that the establishment moved away from my neighborhood and in a less parking-friendly area than what I was accustomed to, but I got over it pretty fast due to the excellent, fresh, nutritious food, and the friendly service. I tried the Keto, Keto, Keto and Fiancé had the Steak Pomme. My Keto bowl had cheese, creamy cauliflower, grilled salmon, asparagus, and a slice of bacon. It was extremely filling (I could only eat half), and I didn't feel like my one hour cardio session at the gym was ruined by a plethora of carbs. Fiancé loved his sirloin steak and mashed potatoes. He especially enjoyed the mushroom wine demi-glaze mixture included. Add to that a couple of their fancy cocktails and we had ourselves a great night! read more
Loved this restaurant when it was in college park and love it even more now. They have brunch and I'm here for it! The menu is the perfect size and they have something for everyone. I ordered the waffle betty taking a chance. It was EVERYTHING!!! Talk about the perfect waffle! It was perfectly crispy and there is a sugar crust that is not too much but add a crunch element that is divine. The eggs are scrambled and and the bacon is perfectly cooked. The cheese is there to hold everything in but not to be dismissed. And they top everything off with this dreamy glaze that just takes it over the top. This dish is unique and scrumptious. Will absolutely be back for this. My husband has the Slap my face with is an open faced donut sandwich and he really enjoyed that as well. Someone on our party ordered the steak and eggs and the portion was huge, well worth the money. Service was great. We were seated right away sunday around noon. They had live entertainment outside.
