Right in downtown Orlando sits this cute little brunch restaurant. This was my first visit and it did not disappoint at all.. We did a girls brunch and what a beautiful day it was to sit outside to enjoy some great food and fresh air. They have an outside patio to dine on and the inside at the restaurant had plenty of seating. There was a bar with seating and private room in the back for parties. This establishment was very clean and cutely decorated. They have a small board before entering that has their daily specials, and they have a big chalkboard behind the hose stand that also list their daily special specials. We attended Rusteak for brunch. We started with mimosas. Our appetizer was tomato jam jar, which came with naan bread and a cute little glass jar that was layered with ricotta cheese, spinach pesto, and tomatoe jam. I was a little cautious about trying it, but it was amazing flavor. Our brunch meals were phenomenal. Our server was great. She was prompt on taking care of us and continuing to check up on us.. she made sure that we had everything we needed in. Our meals were great. She was kind and attentive to us. I will definitely be having another girls brunch at rusteak! Cheers!
Rusteak is WOW! Located in Thornton Park this tasty gastro restaurant is amazing. There's a few sections to the place. Main area is open area with a bar (generally louder), they have a large private room in the middle and then hidden room in the back is the speakeasy vibe location. Ambiance is cozy and the staff is very nice! Our waitress/bartender, Gigi handled both jobs with ease. She was friendly, knowledgeable and great to chat with - you won't be disappointed if you're lucky to have her. Now to the food. Let's say we'll be back because everything looks amazing and the price point was very good (especially for now!). We started with the wedge salad and mushroom Brie bisque soup. Both were fantastic and each was elevated from what you may have had at other restaurants. I highly recommend both items! The salad had petite size cranberries and the bacon was in med/small chunks with yummy blue cheese We also had the mussels and crab cake. The mussels is a LARGE portion, perfect the mussel lover in you. The crab cake was delicious with great flavor and the crab was very prominent in the cake! Lastly we also got the keto keto dish- which is salmon, asparagus and cheddar and pancetta cauliflower casserole. chef kiss! Fabulous place, go check them out. See you soon GiGi
First time dining at RusTeak in Thornton Park. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch drinks and time to catch up. I enjoyed the Salmon salad and my guest enjoyed her Gent salad. Our server was Kelly and she was awesome. She was conscientious and we didn't feel rushed to give up our table. The vibe in the restaurant was nice with a view out both windows. There is two hour parking on the street to the north of the restaurant and a paid garage next door.
This is one of our Orlando favorites. Has a great ambiance. We enjoy sitting at the bar. Brandon is always welcoming and makes great drinks. My husband really enjoys his old fashion. The menu has a lot to offer and the food is always delicious. On our recent visit I got the Mahi dinner but exchanged the broccolini for asparagus. It was wonderful. Wednesday is 1/2 off wine and this bottle of Pinot Noir was wonderful.
The restaurant has a modern vibe. The crowd is 30-50 and up. We sat at the bar where Brannen took care of us. He was very attentive despite the full bar and concluding happy hour (25% off apps and drinks). We loved all our food except the crab cakes. They taste like freezer. Everything else was 20 out of 10! Like I've literally been craving the sweet potato tots since.
Ambiance at this Russell location is really nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Attended a graduation party here and they have a back room. They have great appetizers, the pincho steak and the crab cakes are such a hit. The pasta entrees were really filling and food comes out to order. I recommend the peach sangria. Happy Hour is 50%. Service was pretty good for the large party. Would come back again.
This was honestly the worst meal of my vacation. Getting a reservation was no problem at all. Upon sitting down we were given menus and water right away. Not sure if they were severely understaffed or what but service was terrible all night. My party of 6 all ordered the Rusteak burger and one southern gent salad. My burger came out medium and I specifically asked for rare or blue. The rest of the parties burgers were well done. Two of the burgers had no bacon, mine was missing tomato entirely. How are you a known burger spot if every single burger was errored in a different way. Everyone who ordered the bistro fries were undercooked and sopping with oil. My sweet potato tots did not come out until I asked my server where my side was. Her response was "oh let me go check". The side of bacon to add to the two burgers came out maybe 10-15 minutes after the fact and the burgers were cold by that point. I asked again for my side and she still did not have it. At this point I'm mostly done with my burger and my fries come out soggy and undercooked. The only quality food was the one salad ordered as how badly can one really mess up a salad. It also looked like every other table in our vicinity was waiting on their food to be corrected as well or just waiting. I would not recommend this Rusteak as there are far better options in Orlando to eat.
My husband and daughter surprised me with a birthday lunch today. We originally tried another restaurant, but the food was terrible and the place wasn't clean, so we left and walked over to Rusteak. We'd never been before, but decided to give it a shot. The lunch menu was decent. Honestly, I was still a little turned off from the first restaurant, so I wasn't sure what I wanted. I ended up ordering french fries and the Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon--and wow, those Brussels sprouts were AMAZING. The fries were hot, crispy, and flavorful, and the sweet tea was refreshing. My daughter loved her food, and my husband ordered the crab cakes. I don't think he enjoyed them because he only ate a few bites, I tasted one and wasn't impressed. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and comfortable, which helped reset the mood after our earlier disappointment. Overall, Rusteak was a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely come back again, especially for those Brussels sprouts and fries (a big plus-plus-plus for me!). Probably not for dinner since the menu didn't really grab me, but for lunch or a casual bite, it's a solid choice.
We tried their magical dining menu. For appetizers, I got the ahi tuna and my fiance got Pincho me spicy. They were both pretty good for what it is. The ahi tuna was a generous serving and tasted fresh. The kimchi cabbage slaw was a little salty and not too spicy. The wasabi avocado was tasty and good paired with the tuna. I would say if there was a slight hint of sweetness to the wasabi avocado it would be perfect. The pincho me spicy skewers were amazing! Good medium rare steak and the sauce was really good. I would definitely go back for the skewers. For our main course, I ordered the fresh catch and my fiance got the filet. The fresh catch was not good at all. The "blue crab risotto" was creamy rice. They did not use risotto. I'm Asian I would know risotto from rice lol. The fish was cooked well but the seasoning was pretty basic. My fiance enjoyed the Filet he ordered. He says he doesn't know if it's the sauce or the meat, but he just knows he loves it. For our dessert, I ordered pistachio bread pudding and my fiance ordered espresso tres leches. They were both very good! My bread pudding was a corner piece and I looooved the chewiness of it. The whole thing was flavorful. I loved the crunch added on by the pistachio. I tried the tres leches and it was good as well. It's like a mixture of tiramisu and tres leches. The desserts don't disappoint! Overall, the service was good can't complain. Our server was attentive and nice.
I love Rusteak, I have always loved Rusteak. I used to frequent their College Park location but I guess I haven't written a review for the Thornton location. If you are looking for amazing, American style food, this is the spot. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the food is fabulous! We ended up there on a random Sunday for brunch, there were ten of us and they graciously allowed us without a reservation. We were going to go to another restaurant (not my decision) but when we were turned away even after being told to be there at opening if we didn't have a reservation, I suggested Rusteak. The group agreed, as they were all stuffing their faces, that the menu, prices and portions were better at Rusteak anyway. I replied "I know, I didn't really want to go to ___ in the first place." Rusteak has always been a place I recommend when people ask for restaurants to take friends or family to. I think it's a great representation of some of the fabulous food Orlando has to offer. At brunch I got the chicken and waffles, they were massive and so tasty! I would have loved some type of syrup sauce to go with them but they were still delicious as is. My fiance got the special, something with lobster and maybe chili oil? I'm not a big fan of lobster (I know, shoot me) but omg it was fantastic! I was seriously jealous of his meal. Time and time again, Rusteak has proven to be a consistent staple in the Orlando food scene. If you haven't been, I highly suggest you check it out!
I have been here a few times, and I do like the food and the atmosphere. This time I ordered a tofu scramble and loaded potatoes. The tofu didn't come out scrambled exactly (lol) but everything was seasoned well. My friend got a burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had due to the bacon jam. This is a good spot for a date night or to grab a meal with friends. It's clean and they have good service.
We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I'm glad we discovered the place! The food, drinks, and service are spectacular! Plus, the ambiance is excellent. I will consider this as one of the top spots to eat/hangout when in Orlando!
Rusteak, being one of the most well-known American food restaurants in downtown, had been on my bookmarks for a while. I had no idea it was a spin-off of Teak Neighborhood Grill. The name seems like a play on the word "rustic," but honestly, I didn't find anything particularly rustic about it. I went there for lunch on a Sunday, and it wasn't too crowded -- just the right amount of people, so it didn't feel too busy or too empty to the point of wanting to head back home. I ordered the Brunch Burger without the bun, paired with a side of greens, and it was delicious. The bacon was cooked to perfection, and the burger, which I asked for medium, was cooked just right. Service was as expected (also just right). :)
The place is really neat and nice. The staff is very friendly and professional. Great location as well. The mahi mahi was delicious but it came with 2 very heavy souses - both were tasty, but i'd like to see less of it. the steak was cooked perfectly, the piece maybe wasn't the best tho. read more
This is my favorite place to get bread pudding. They serve their coquito bread year-round and it is delicious. I'd like to shout out the amazing staff who obliges my request for an "inside piece" of bread pudding. It comes with vanilla ice cream, coquito sauce, and caramel. I've never dined inside, only picked up dinner and dessert to-go. The picture is of me plating the food myself. read more
This has got to be my go to brunch place of all times. Especially their deconstructed smoked salmon! It's so soooo worth it, especially the thick slices of smoked salmon they give you! Also, can't forget the chicken and waffles! They infuse their waffles with tiny sugar cubes and it's insanely yummy. You will come back for more! The only complaint is parking. You may have to parallel park and search for one especially on the weekends so come early! read more
Went this past Saturday night to dinner with another couple. We decided on RusTeak because none of us had been before and it had great other reviews. The food was yummy and fairly quick. Our service wasn't so great but it was a busy night. Our appetizer was delivered without silverware so until we could flag down another employee our corn cakes sat on the table. My boyfriend got the steak sandwich which was tasty but the steak pieces were so large that it was very difficult to eat. The pecan chicken was just ok. We will probably return to try some other things. read more

My friend and I went to Brunch at RusTeak Thorton Park on a Sunday and happened to order the special. A burger on a waffle bun with bacon, egg, cheese and drizzled with maple syrup. It was unbelievably delicious. The syrup was just a hint so enhanced the flavor of the burger without overpowering it. The accompanying herb fried potatoes were also delicious and the portion huge. My dining partner agreed with this assessment and we both took home half to enjoy for another meal. My husband only got one bite (to taste it) but it was just as good the next day! I had the Espresso Martini which was one of the best I have ever had. The manager stopped by to check on us and get feedback, always a great sign when they truly want to know. read more

Wanted to go to Stubborn Mule but they were overbooked due to the Shane Gillis show at the Kia Center. Walked across the street to RusTeak, their sister restaurant. The brunette with invisaline or some other dental service in her mouth was our bartender/server. She forgot to bring my drink so that was comped. We got our app and then waited 40 min for overcooked steaks. She was unpleasant to the couple next to us and they wanted to order drinks and she turned and said she would be back with water. She eventually returned to them to take their order and they said "we never got our water" her response was "I know. We're busy" so now we are talking to the couple next to us about what was up with our server/bartender. There were other people behind the bar, so it's not like she was tending to the whole restaurant. She also forgot to bring our dessert. I did not tip accordingly, she got a nice tip, as. I don't know if it was an off night, but we will go to Linda's La Cantina next time. read more
Another successful & enjoyable brunch at RusTeak. Whenever I'm faced with the decision of where to go for a last minute brunch outing, this spot usually comes to mind first - Their fresh, delicious food & generous portions continuously have me returning. We had the sweetest server yesterday, Camielle, who was very friendly & attentive. Our mains were taking a bit longer than usual to make their way out to us, which she acknowledged and thanked us for our patience. Always have friendly servers here but she really stood out! The crab cakes were some of the best I've had in a while, especially paired with the old bay aioli which was extremely tasty. The spinach crab salad was satisfying (just wish it had a little more crab, or rather chunkier pieces). I tried the "Thnks Fr th Mmrs" brunch cocktail which I absolutely loved! So refreshing. The passion fruit flavor was very prominent which I was a big fan of. If you're a live music person, you'll be happy to know they have live music during Sunday brunch (during my last visit it was on the patio, but this visit it was indoors). Always an outstanding experience here! Hands down one of the best brunches in the Thornton Park / downtown area. read more

5-STAR REVIEW FOR RUSTEAK We celebrated our wedding at Rusteak, and it was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was intimate, warm, and elegant--exactly what we wanted for such a special day. Our coordinator, Mellanie Barrix, was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond in every way to make sure our wedding was flawless, and we are so grateful for her dedication and kindness. The food was excellent--every single guest was thrilled and couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was. The crew that served us was the best: attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our celebration perfect. And a very special mention to Zero, the mixologist, who created custom cocktails that were out of this world. Everyone loved them! Thank you, Rusteak, for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing food, exceptional service, and a beautiful place to celebrate. read more
This place is just meh for me. Maybe I chose the wrong dish, but the short rib ragu with a price tag of $25 is quite awful. Even more awful considering this was lunch. Imagine over cooked sawgy short rib over noodles with a watery sauce. It was edible. The service was great and the craft beer was good. Other than that RusTeak was quite meh,meh,meh... Can't see giving them another chance if they sent that dish out of their kitchen, they really don't care. read more

The Orlando market is a challenging one and with limited real estate downtown these places have to find a way to pack big flavor into a small space. Competitors out there should take lessons from Rusteak because their vibe is exactly what New American cuisine was to be. Right on the street side view of Thornton Park this place offers an impressive wall of spirits behind the bar, a happy hour featuring discount wine, cocktails, and draft, as well as indoor and swanky outdoor seating to dine in and sample one of their many delightful dishes. Being my first time I decided to get a 3 course feast which began with crispy calamari accompanied by a house made tangy Thai sauce. The entree was a lighter feature called a Super Bowl. Not a field goal post in sight but the balance of this bowl scored a winning TD in my book. The most unique experience for me was the coquito bread pudding. I love bread pudding. Heck, might be my top 5 fav dessert styles and I otherwise don't particularly enjoy bread. No matter what your beliefs are about this dessert I would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't fall in love. I have had this flavor combo once before in an egg nog style Puerto Rican cocktail. It was also a killer experience and this dessert sent my memory banks swirling as my tastebuds tangled with delicate sweetness of the dish. The server was a sweet heart. Knowledgeable, personable, and very efficient as her table side ordering tablet had dishes making their way to my chair before she even finished with my requests. Certainly an excellent introduction to the downtown eats scene. Highly recommend! read more
Came here for a brunch with some friends and we were impressed with the quality of food and portion sizes. The deviled eggs had a nice crispy exterior and the creamy yolk was nice and tasty. The BLT was perfect with fresh sliced avocado and not an avocado spread. I subbed regular bacon for turkey bacon and got my eggs over medium. The brunch potatoes were also delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and friendly and since the weather was gorgeous we sat outside and were entertained by their soothing live musicians. Def need to come back and check out more on this place! read more
We came in here for brunch and I was intrigued a lot of the very unique options. I eventually settled on the donut burger because a donut really seemed like it would hit the spot. The donuts were delicious, but I felt like the actual burger lacked a bit of flavor that I was looking for. On the side, the potatoes were fantastic with the sauce they gave. The service could've been a bit quicker but I understand that we came at a busy time when a lot of people were getting into the restaurant at once. read more
Tried Rusteak last week for the first time and it was really impressive! We went for the Bite30 menu which consisted of stuff that's normally on their menu anyway. The Burrata was phenomenal! I was really tempted by the Kung Pao Cauliflower but decided to skip since it'a fried. It was hard to stop myself from eating the whole appetizer because it was so good, but I knew I had a ton of food still to come. I ordered the Spring Chicken for my entree and it too was really well prepared and perfectly seasoned. The sous vide prep really ensures you don't lose any of that lovely juiciness you want in a chicken breast. The Coquito Bread Pudding was to die for. I love the dense and moist all the way through style like you'd expect from a traditional latin preparation. We were there in time for Happy Hour which offered wine for $7. Pretty good deal. Might also explain why it was so loud in there. It was really difficult to carry a conversation which was kind of off-putting to the experience. I also had the misfortune of sitting in front of a floor to ceiling window with the sun beating down on me for half the meal. They should really have some kind of shade on those windows because it made for a really uncomfortable situation. So food wise, it's definitely a 5-star for food. They definitely charge 5-star prices for it. Little pricey. I'd probably prefer to go back when it's cool enough to sit outside where it isn't too loud to enjoy conversation. read more

This restaurant is located in downtown Orlando. The interior is quite nice and modern. Came in for brunch around noon, and we were promptly seated. We did have to wait quite a bit to place our order, and even longer for the food. Unfortunately, the wait wasn't worth it. The person I was with didn't enjoy her chicken and waffles. She found the waffles too dry. I didn't enjoy my French toast. I found it too dry as well. Perhaps their brunch isn't as good as their regular menu items. Maybe one day I'll try their lunch or dinner... maybe. read more

Let me start by saying I love Rusteak dinner, but i have never had their brunch. I had to try since their food is always cooked fresh. My friend and i went at 11am and decided to sit outside since the weather is perfect in October. They had a live musician playing outside and it was a great ambiance having the music play in the background. I don't remember our servers name, but she was great. Very informative and had the bartender make me a cocktail suited to my needs. I decided to order the shrimp and grits and my friend order the Call Me Basic. We both really enjoyed our meal. The grits were creamy for us both and the shrimp was seasoned very well. There are a lot of brunch options available these days, but RusTeak did not disappoint. read more

We rented this place out for a corporate dinner and my favorite thing about the entire event was the cauliflower appetizer and the picture on the bathroom stall!! The waitress were not very pleasant they seemed overwhelmed maybe they should of had a few more covering our event of about 100. The appetizers were really good we had the cauliflower and cheese board. The entrees were not so much. The presentation was nice but taste was so disappointing. From best to worst... chicken, mahi, and the worst was the beef! So many of my workers were complaining about the lack of flavor. Dessert was pretty good we had the carrot cake and bread pudding. The serving sizes were HUGE The ambiance was very chill and had eclectic artwork all over again my favorite piece was in the bathroom lol! Would recommend catching a Lyft over to this place as there is not much parking. read more

I've been here for both brunch and dinner now and it has solid food choices and great drinks. I think I prefer the brunch menu but the dinner was also excellent. I ordered some wine and the short rib ragu - it was creamy, generous portion and tasted super fresh! You really can't go wrong with anything that you order from here. The only down side was they messed up my friends order and she waited a while to have it come out where it still was wrong (it happens!) but that was a bummer. Even despite that I would still return. read more

New Location since College Park spot closed up. Staff was super nice and it was not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. The menu is similar to the old location with some changes, some things gone and a few new items. I really hope they expand their beer/wine choices for this new location. We had the Teak Burger and the Chicken Salad, both with fries. Food came out very quickly and was well prepared and tasted good. The price was also very reasonable. This is not someplace that you will rave over the food but it IS good and well prepared. We would have stayed a bit longer or got some desert but as mentioned we felt the beer/wine selection limited choices. I can say it looks like a full bar so there should be some great options for those people. read more

Currently my favorite brunch place in town! But their dinner menu is also amazing. My tastebuds are in heaven every time I come here. My favorite go-to breakfast platter is the steak and eggs. It comes with a side of breakfast potatoes, and you can choose how you like the eggs to be cooked. It's a pretty big dish, so you might want to share it with someone else in your party, or be prepared to take some of it home. I usually share it with my mother, who will usually order the Call Me Basic. From the dinner menu, we've tried the Keto Keto Keto, Get Saucy, and the Coquito Bread Pudding. When people talk about "magical dining," this must be what they're talking about. Every dish is made to perfection. Beautiful and delicious. I look forward to dining here again. read more

If you're looking for a great brunch spot downtown Orlando, then this is it! At the corner of Eola and Pine st, Rusteak is the perfect location to start off your Sunday Funday(1030am-230pm Sundays only). This new American spot has inside and outside seating with great music. There was a live singer on the outside patio who sounded nice and wasn't too loud when talking with friends at the table. To start off I ordered a Bloody Mary with extra olives. It was short but spicy with good flavor. For my entree I had the "Call Me Basic". I ordered the eggs over easy with bacon and breakfast potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly along with the bacon(not too crispy and not too soft) and the potatoes are seriously the best ever. The portion sizes for every meal are large so you totally get your monies worth. The cocktails off the brunch menu are reasonably priced averaging around $10. Most the meals on there are $18 or below unless you're getting the steak and eggs which is $26. Our server was very nice and hard working. Anytime she was in the area she made sure to stop by our table to see if we needed refills or anything else. Definitely recommend Rusteak for brunch! We can't wait to go back one evening to try out their dinner menu! read more
Very good food for brunch. We got the fried green tomatoes appetizer. It came with 2 huge fried tomato slices. The French toast has been updated from the previous menu. It is absolutely huge and filled with cream the cocoa powder is lightly sprinkled on top. The crab cake Benedict is also amazing the crab cakes have a ton of crab and it comes with a great aioli sauce on the side for the potatoes. Service is always great as usual. read more
I went to this restaurant to try a specific dish I saw online. It was a classy looking place and the server was very informative and well mannered. I ordered the veggielini and honestly it was quite disappointing. The "garlic bread" on the side was just slightly garlic flavored toast and the bread itself wasn't even that good. The pasta was tasty at first and I really wanted to like it but after each bite it became less and less appetizing. I ate about a third of my food and boxed the rest for later (which I never ended up eating) because I couldn't force myself to pretend to enjoy it. read more
