    Mojito
    Ricardo B.

Fun spot featuring Latin food in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle. The place has two bars and seating areas. We sat at the bar as you walk in to the restaurant. Our bartender was attentive and friendly. It was cool to see him mixing drinks. Oh! The mojito is good and seems to be a popular drink there. I ordered a ceviche and it was brought out in a timely manner. The ceviche was surrounded by fried plantain strips that had been salted liberally (thank you!). Ceviche had shrimp, slices of oranges and the rest of the regular ingredients. Nice place to go hangout with friends and enjoy drinks.

A rum lover's paradise in Belltown. Did the "Rum 101" flight and it was the perfect way in... Like a guided tour through four regions, from an El Dorado 8 Year out of Guyana to a Jamaican pot-still and a Saint James VSOP from Martinique. Each pour had its own character, and you really taste how much the origin matters. The vibe is dark, cozy, and transportive... like a hidden tiki den. With one of the deepest rum lists in the country, this is a must for anyone who's serious about the spirit (or just curious). Knowledgeable staff, killer flights, zero regrets. A friend in invited me but I'll be back.

Excellent vibe. You feel cool just hanging out here. I heard they have over 700 types of rum - the bartender seemed to know all of them. True professional - his arms were a blur - you'd think he was part octopus! The Japanese Snow Monkey was tart, bitter, and chilled perfectly -- dangerously !delicious! The snacks are terrific. The beef brisket taco seemed small, but turned out to be just the right size. Solid corn tortilla, with an unctuous beef filling just oozing with flavor. The empanadas stole the show. Incredible pastry crust - flaky, chewy, and loaded with flavor by itself. They were stuffed to the seams with the respective filling, and the side slaw was a great palate cleanser. Kale and mushroom was delicate seasoned, each bite just melted. The Jamaican beef, though, was even better . The spice ratio was perfect. These are almost addictive. Note: don't know all the details, but two patrons next to me at the bar had little treasure maps and on the "hunt" to try all of the varieties by answering a bunch of questions. Check it out!

Great bar as you enter into the Tiki Bar Inside Passage. Staff helped us navigate. We did not try the food but loved like a nice menu.

We had a really fun experience at Rumba. Stepping into Rumba you feel like you've walked into quaint and charming rum bar in Barbados! The cocktails menu was full of crowd pleasers, but we both loved the riff on the old fashioned with the toasted marshmallows, and Rhum with a Vieux was probably just as good! We split the Ropa Vieja, and were glad we tried something different. The beef was tender and flavorful. It's not necessarily enough for two people with an appetite, but we were just hopping places and noshing. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, often talking to us about the food and drinks, as well as sharing foodie experiences and plans for the weekend. This was a memorable visit and I can't recommend Rumba enough!

Fun strong drinks, cool atmosphere. Stopped by here before a show at the paramount. The guacamole appetizer with plantain chips was the star imo! We shared an empanada and I got the chicken sliders. My brother in law got the tacos and those looked good!

If you're seeking cute kitschy hole in the wall for clever cocktails & decor to delight guests, bring them here! We chose fairly standard drinks, yet our neighbors had a drink served in a pirate chest overflowing with dry ice fog, very fun. The adjacent bar has a 20 foot octopus on the ceiling! I wasn't blown away by the food, but did enjoy the deep fried deviled eggs & the noodles were delicious.

It was nice. Nothing super memorable but food, service and vibe were great. Not too busy and we ordered a few drinks. Main reason we were there.

We wanted to go the Inside Passage, arriving there an hour before they closed and they said they gave away their last table which was a bummer. :( We probably could have timed that better. But we still got to sit in the main upstairs area of the Rumba bar which still had fun tropical beach vibes. Our waiter was super nice and cheerful. I ordered the red wedding. It had a strong flavor. I later just wanted a shot of Malibu and when they said they didn't have it the server was able to find a very similar alternative which I really appreciated! And he was spot on.

I always enjoy myself here. We had a group of 8 before a show and even though some of us struggled to find parking so we arrived at disjointed times, they did a great job of taking care of us. We got some app deals during happy hour and then moved to meals. The plantain chips with guac were salty and crispy and the guac was perfection. Everyone was loving their rhum drinks. The Cuban was good for west coast Cuban, but the empanada was amazing. Two people raved over their poke bowls and I heard the chimichurri that went with the asada was also fantastic. They did a great job keeping drinks filled and waters refreshed and getting us out on time for the show. It can be a little noisy but it's still a lovely vibe.

Expresso martini ($18) and three tacos ($18)

We went here to celebrate a birthday before going out to the bars. Overall, we had a good experience. The service was very slow, but that could be a result of it being a Saturday night. The atmosphere in Rumba is exotic and colorful. The bar has bottles of alcohol lined up to the ceiling, which catches your eye as you enter. Rumba is on the pricier side and has small portions. I had the expresso martini ($18) and three tacos (shrimp, portobello mushroom, and carnitas) ($18). The expresso martini was quite small compared to ones that I have had at other bars. The tacos were good. My only complaint was that the portobello mushroom taco had too much sauce, and it was messy to eat. I would not go here if you are looking for a substantive meal.

Jerk chicken, greens and rice and peas
    Candace S.

I placed a pick up order from Rumba on a Monday evening, and please that it was ready when I arrive. I ordered the jerk chicken dish which came with collard greens and rice and peas. It was an extremely generous portion for the price that I paid. The chicken was seasoned very well and the the rest of the dish was also very tasty! I'm glad I tried out this restaurant and would highly recommend this to anyone else who is a fan of Caribbean food. Be warned, though, there is a bit of a spicy kick to the jerk chicken.

The space is elegant, unique, and lives up to the photos. I also want to recognize the manager, who was polite, professional, and kindly explained that reservations were required. I completely understand and respect that policy. Unfortunately, my interaction with the bartender before speaking with the manager was the complete opposite. As I tried to get her attention, I felt like she repeatedly looked at me with annoyance and made me feel unwelcome. Rather than simply explaining the reservation policy herself, she went to get the manager instead. She had a problem with Hispanics. She refused to engaged at all. The way I was treated left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as someone who was genuinely excited to visit. A beautiful venue can only go so far when the hospitality doesn't match. I would have happily accepted that reservations were required if I had simply been treated with basic kindness and respect from the start. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the location itself is stunning, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, because of my interaction with the bartender I've added in the photos, I don't see myself returning. Sadly they have a Prejudice bartender.
