Fun strong drinks, cool atmosphere. Stopped by here before a show at the paramount. The guacamole appetizer with plantain chips was the star imo! We shared an empanada and I got the chicken sliders. My brother in law got the tacos and those looked good!

It was nice. Nothing super memorable but food, service and vibe were great. Not too busy and we ordered a few drinks. Main reason we were there.

We wanted to go the Inside Passage, arriving there an hour before they closed and they said they gave away their last table which was a bummer. :( We probably could have timed that better. But we still got to sit in the main upstairs area of the Rumba bar which still had fun tropical beach vibes. Our waiter was super nice and cheerful. I ordered the red wedding. It had a strong flavor. I later just wanted a shot of Malibu and when they said they didn't have it the server was able to find a very similar alternative which I really appreciated! And he was spot on.

I only tried the desserts but they were good!! Nice plating, atmosphere and service were great, very friendly.

If you're seeking cute kitschy hole in the wall for clever cocktails & decor to delight guests, bring them here! We chose fairly standard drinks, yet our neighbors had a drink served in a pirate chest overflowing with dry ice fog, very fun. The adjacent bar has a 20 foot octopus on the ceiling! I wasn't blown away by the food, but did enjoy the deep fried deviled eggs & the noodles were delicious.

I always enjoy myself here. We had a group of 8 before a show and even though some of us struggled to find parking so we arrived at disjointed times, they did a great job of taking care of us. We got some app deals during happy hour and then moved to meals. The plantain chips with guac were salty and crispy and the guac was perfection. Everyone was loving their rhum drinks. The Cuban was good for west coast Cuban, but the empanada was amazing. Two people raved over their poke bowls and I heard the chimichurri that went with the asada was also fantastic. They did a great job keeping drinks filled and waters refreshed and getting us out on time for the show. It can be a little noisy but it's still a lovely vibe.

Expresso martini ($18) and three tacos ($18)

We went here to celebrate a birthday before going out to the bars. Overall, we had a good experience. The service was very slow, but that could be a result of it being a Saturday night. The atmosphere in Rumba is exotic and colorful. The bar has bottles of alcohol lined up to the ceiling, which catches your eye as you enter. Rumba is on the pricier side and has small portions. I had the expresso martini ($18) and three tacos (shrimp, portobello mushroom, and carnitas) ($18). The expresso martini was quite small compared to ones that I have had at other bars. The tacos were good. My only complaint was that the portobello mushroom taco had too much sauce, and it was messy to eat. I would not go here if you are looking for a substantive meal.

I placed a pick up order from Rumba on a Monday evening, and please that it was ready when I arrive. I ordered the jerk chicken dish which came with collard greens and rice and peas. It was an extremely generous portion for the price that I paid. The chicken was seasoned very well and the the rest of the dish was also very tasty! I'm glad I tried out this restaurant and would highly recommend this to anyone else who is a fan of Caribbean food. Be warned, though, there is a bit of a spicy kick to the jerk chicken.

Good food and drinks! This is a pretty spacious bar with a variety of seating. They have primarily rum-based cocktails, but they have both the traditional drinks and some unique ones as well. I got the japanese snow monkey, which was nice and light and refereshing. For food we tried the fries and yuca fries, plantain chips and guac, beef and carnitas tacos, deviled eggs, and wings. I would say the yuca fries, plaintain chips and guac, carnitas tacos, and deviled eggs were the best amongst the bunch. I really enjoyed those! Overall, vibes are good and service was on top of it too - I'd come again!

A delish Caribbean staple in Seattle that never disappoints. I came here recently with a medium sized corporate group. They were able to accommodate us well with relatively quick service. A wait for some drinks, but we were a big group and that's a lot of hand crafted drinks to make. Everyone liked their food, empanadas were tasty, yucca fries were cozy, and maduros are always a hit! Looking forward to more summer nights here.

Service was great and very friendly. Loved our experience. We did not end up trying any of the food here but got several of the drinks. If you want to experience a more upscale tropical ambience with strong drinks and good service, then check it out!

Came for drinks and, although we had to wait a little to order after we got seated, the drinks were delicious!

Strong drinks, interesting menu. Plenty of seating even though it's small and dark. Definitely not a tiki bar; though the focus seems to be rum. Modern and clean vibes. Servers were nice, and service was quick. Chicken wings were super soggy and disappointing. The jerk spices just kinda slid off the rubbery wing skin. Even after some drinks we couldn't eat this.

The First Gentleman was attentive and we got our drinks and an appetizer timely. We ordered our second appetizer with our first server and thats where the service deteriorated. I could hear the table next to us ordered the exact same appetizer as we did 10-15 mins after we did and a new server who must had just clocked in brings them the order literally within 2-3 mins later and the male commented, "oh that was fast" and I thought to myself they got our order. Another 10-15 mins go by and I had to ask "do you know how long our order will take to which she seemed to get annoyed. It could have my energy because by that time I was annoyed. I'm not sure what happened to our original server but he must have gotten off. About 5-10 mins goes by and here it comes. That confirmed the table next to us got our order because of how long it took. They never apologized for their mistake. Doing all that time they never came back to see if we would like another drink. I had to flag someone down. The clincher was we got our bill and there was 22% service charge. That was on me because if I would have seen it I might not have gone. I'm not a fan of automatically charging a service charge. I'm a great tipper but it must be earned. By than I was really annoyed and thought to have a conversation with the manager but let it go. I would not go back. The craft cocktails are spendy but I had no problem with that because they're creative and they earned it by being creative. But the energy and the environment wasn't like the other speak easy bars I visited. It was boring and to top it off the service charge of 22% and the service that came with it sealed it for me. Make sure to read the website on their thought around the 22%.

When the city reopened in 2021, I was eating here almost every day; partly because of convenience, but mainly because the food and service never miss. I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. They're incredibly accommodating with large parties, and the service stays sharp even when the place is packed. Attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced; they know how to take care of people. Dead Line checks every box: atmosphere, flavor, presentation, service, and seamless hosting for big groups. It's easily one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots in downtown Seattle, and it's stayed that way for years.

I then ordered the pork arepa for my entree and wow...not what i was expecting but will never regret! One of my favorite dishes I've had in a while that I'll keep thinking about. Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year.
