The Nobi dog was a standout item with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The savory Kosher beef frank is complimented by the sweet and salty chargrilled pork, pickled carrots and daikon, and spicy sriracha mayo and jalapenos. The crunchy pickled vegetables and creamy mayo stand out against the tender pork and beef frank. I would definitely reorder the Nobi dog at a future visit. Unfortunately, the Nobi egg sandwich was only mediocre and left and impression no more than the simply the sum of its parts. The chargrilled pork was flavorful and egg had a pleasant fluffy texture, but the sandwich as a whole tasted rather boring and uninteresting, especially compared to the Nobi dog. The bittersweet sundae was a stout brownie with vanilla gelato, covered in whipped cream and was the lowest point of this meal, and I would recommend against ordering it. In my opinion, there was entirely too much whipped cream, which was foamy and runny and had a metallic off-note, perhaps from the can it likely came from. After digging through the mountain of whipped cream, I was further disappointed by the texture of the brownie, which had an unpleasant eggy taste and texture. The vanilla gelato was only okay, and did little to salvage this disappointing dessert. Despite its shortcomings, Nobi's service was excellent and attentive. Even on a crowded Tuesday dinner, our waiter frequently checked in on our party. The restaurant is fairly spacious and can accommodate large (8+ people) parties, however it may be a challenge if you plan to visit on a Tuesday night. Overall I would return to Nobi's, specifically for the Nobi dog or the amazing $10 pork chop deal and to explore their wide selection of beers. Aside from that, I would be willing to try other items, but I definitely would not reorder the Nobi egg sandwich nor the bittersweet sundae.

I asked for a tap water and she said their fountain machine was broken and I had to buy a bottle of water at $2.99 (seriously is a fountain machine the only way I can get water?). OK so I get the 2.99 water + the $19.99 plate and the machine prompts for tip. I left 18% having worked in restaurants years ago, I feel a lot of empathy for those who work so hard serving others and get paid so little, and service and the food there have always been great in my prior visits. That brings my bill to $29!. For one person having lunch, not even a glass of wine. OK, but the food has always been great, right? and I usually make 2 meals out of it.... Moving along, the salad came out with brown wilted lettuce, two specks of feta and no dressing. Then the chicken which is normally so flavorful and juicy, was dry, tough and flavorless. Tasted old. The less than tablespoon of tzatziki was drab. The french fries were the only decent thing on the plate. I didn't even try the pita since I was eating so many fries. In the midst of all the disappointment and wondering WTH happened to this lovely place, several more tables come in and magically, the AC comes on! Maybe there is hope? But no, NOT TODAY.
