We've been out to this location twice now, and both times they have been great. The parking is easy enough, as they're located on a strip inside if a larger shopping center with space everywhere. Walking in, it's clean and they always quickly greet and either seat you, or offer you the couch whilst waiting for a table to open up. I haven't had to wait more than 5 minutes. Service has been a little slow consistently through both experiences, so just know that going in. We've gotten the chicken house special Momos both times, and love them. Their goat biryani is fantastic. Word of advice, mix it first. The goodness lurks at the bottom. The Spicy-Masala-Noodles-Chicken was really good but not necessarily something I would get again. I was going for a little more flavor. The goat Jalfrezi was really good, and would absolutely go more rounds with it. Really enjoyed our food. Service speed needs a boost, but the staff are really friendly, and I appreciate that disposition. Looking forward to the next visit!

Indo Chinese food and the Indian dishes were the worst part. Genuinely the worst butter chicken of my life. It was so sweet and had a punch in the face cardamom taste. The naan was flat. It should be warm and fluffy. I like the cauliflower manchuria, it had a good flavor. The hakka noodles were okay. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is disjointed in my opinion. Our server asked questions multiple times about our order as if he wasn't actually entering it on the machine he had.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! The food was very well packaged and traveled perfectly. The Butter Chicken Masala was fragrant and flavorful without being too heavy. The Garlic Naan leaned on the thinner side--perfect if you prefer that style--and had just the right balance of garlic without being overpowering. The Veggie Samosas were generously sized; the one thing lacking is the green dipping sauce - it's purely salt and lemon, not as much to pair with the samosas. The Mango Lassi was creamy, refreshing, and delicious--definitely a must-try. I also appreciated that they included complimentary desserts with the entrées, which was such a thoughtful touch. While the menu is mainly Indian, there are also a few Chinese-inspired dishes, giving some nice variety for different tastes. The Sichuan chicken noodles was very good, along with their spin on fried rice. Overall, great flavors, careful packaging, and a lovely extra with the free desserts. I'll definitely be ordering again!

We were a party of six and got seated within minutes on a weekday. It's a smaller restaurant and there's different shows and music videos playing on the tvs. The staff had some yummy recommendations. I got butter garlic naan, chili garlic noodles, biryani and manchurian chicken. The naan and biryani wasn't my favorite as they weren't the most flavorful and hard but I loved the manchurian and chili garlic noodles. Those two things I will definitely come back to order. I also saw they have deals on DoorDash. The food took a hot minute to come out so don't come super hungry.

We've been to Monk's in humble and loved it so when we found out they opened a location in Pearland, we were stoked! We came in during lunch time on a Saturday afternoon. We were the first customers of the day and were immediately sat in a booth. There was a pitcher of water at each table so it was nice that we could help ourselves to some water, but would've preferred ice water. The staff were very friendly and checked on us at the right amount of frequency throughout our meal. To start off, we got the chicken momos. Get them with the tandoori added on, it's worth the extra $2! It came with this cold but spicy herb sauce that took the flavor to another level, but the momos were just ass good by themselves if you're not a big spice person. For entrees, we split the goat biryani and the goat Kadai masala with a side of garlic naan. Kadai was new for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was delicious! It was nice and smoky and wasn't very spicy. The texture is similar to a vindaloo, thick but still saucy. Careful when biting into it, the goat had bones. The biryani also had lots of flavor and the goat in it was excellent. The biryani had more of a kick to it than I was expecting so if you're spice averse, consider something else on the menu. The garlic naan was good, but it's like other places' naan. Nothing to write home about. I'm happy that the food quality of this location matched the Humble location. We now have a great local Indian spot we can frequent!

Came in for a late lunch on a Sunday, waited maybe 10 minutes . Dress code: all over, some very casual some more business casual. Food 4/5: got the chicken wings with green sauce, the momos dumplings for apps, the goat vindaloo, the spicy masala shrimp noodles and the chicken tikka masala. The apps were amazing, highly recommend both. The mains were just ok but overall fairly tasty. Enjoyed it on the way in but highly suffered on the way out . Service 4/5: friendly and helpful but somewhat slow with orders and seating despite open tables Ambiance 4/5: very modern looking, chic and clean with welcome sofas at the entrance while you wait to be seated but nothing that wowed Value 4/5: good food at a pretty decent price. Overall good value Overall 4/5: decent food, decent price, likely would only come back if in the area as it is a bit further out for me but worth at least a try Parking: massive parking lot.

The Monk has several locations around the Houston area but our first time trying this establishment is in Pearland. Came in for a Thursday lunch but was disappointed to be notified that they were out of their INDIAN THALI LUNCH SPECIAL. It was a bit odd considering that was only lunch item that they had & it wasn't that busy. (4/5) MONK SPECIAL TANDOORI CHICKEN MOMO: It is a $2 uncharge for the dumplings to be tossed in the tandoori sauce. It comes with 6 large pieces so perfect to share. The green dipping sauce was also delicious & we saved it to eat with our other entrees (4/5) ANDHRA GOAT CURRY: We asked our server for some recommendations & she said that this dish wasn't on the menu but they do serve it. She really liked it so we decided to give it a try. It was very savory & tomatoey. The goat was tender. At first the portion seemed a little small but it did fill us up (4/5) STREET STYLE CHICKEN NOODLE: One of their CHINESE influence dishes. This entree was very generous with their portion. We have enough to make another two lighter meals. We asked for spicy & this one did pack some heat. Everything was so well seasoned & flavorful (3/5) GARLIC NAAN: Their naan is not my favorite. One naan cut into 4 pieces. This naan was more dense & chewy compared to other fluffier naans that I've had Quite a heavy lunch but worth it. The interior was clean with plenty of seating. I believe some of the other locations are not as big. The plus is lots of parking & right next to the highway so very accessible

    Masala chai, authentic

Best masala chai I've had! The whole restaurant is authentic, and it's Indian / Chinese fusion so there are two cultures to pay homage to. Service was not very personable, but efficient and quick. Bollywood music videos on every TV, beautiful interior design with full bar. We went for lunch and the food was DELICIOUS. We are both very white Americans and what we ordered was NOT spicy while still being full of deep Indian flavors. I'm a big tea drinker, so if you've only ever had Starbucks masala chai, please come try it here! Much better!

I came here on a rainy day after watching a movie at the nearby theater. It wasn't too busy. Only 2-3 other parties were also there dining in. The waitress was helpful. I had their top soup, Manchow and added chicken and my main dish was chicken tikka Marsala. My friend had veg samosas and a tasty vegan dish. All the food was delicious, fresh and flavorful and I'd order any of the dishes again. I've bookmarked this as a go-to for good Indian food in or near Pearland and it's a great restaurant near the movie theater for a bite b4 or after a movie.

Monk's was good but pricey for the portions. In comparison to its competitors I would consider going there before returning.

The buffet ends at 3pm but there's lots of room in the buffet area for tons of options. The restaurant is clean and pretty spacious inside. The young lady at the counter greeted me warmly and kindly rang me up for my rasmalai I added to my order upon arrival. The chicken curry was good. Not amazing or the best I ever had but I would eat it again. It came with rice. I'm always surprised when Indian restaurants charge extra for rice. The potato and peas samosas were big, crispy on the outside and nice and soft with potatoey goodness on the inside. They were absolute perfection when dipped into the tartly sweet chutney sauce. I concluded my meal with the rasmalai dessert that tasted of rose, condensed milk and pistachios. I just wished it had a little more bits of pistachio.

They have a single table in table you want to sit, but I did see ppl take carry outs more often. A good initiative. A good and economically priced stop for Indian street food. Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!
