Food was amazing, server has some really promising recommendations, beautiful dining area and it is very peaceful inside. Try the chicken biryani read more

This is my 2nd time visiting this restaurant and I am trying the Saag chicken since it is prepared in the Northern Indian style. This dish comes with rice, however naan is extra. I asked if they served any alcohol, alcoholic beverages, and was informed that they have plans to start selling alcohol within the next 3 to 4 months. I inquired if they were going to have a full barn with a bartender and was told that they plan to start slow by just selling certain alcoholic beverages initially then overtime increase the number of items that are offered. I made my order to go so I could take pictures of my food before I forgot to take pictures. It seems that currently most of their business is takeout. Takeout business is brisk. I've seen three or four while waiting for my food to be prepared. In my opinion the Saag Chicken is prepared in the Southern style, in spite of what the manager said. My food is piping, hot and delicious. The server brought me a plate and silverware when he saw me opening my dishes. He returned with a glass or water also, I love this attention to detail it can make an average experience memorable. The interior could be more inviting with different furniture, making it more appealing. GN3 read more

First time eating here. I had the goat curry and wife had the chicken biryani. Wife loved her meal and the goat was delicious. Also the garlic nan and mango lassi was on points!!! The guy serving us was very kind and sociable. Wish I'd had taken picture of the food but dug into it when it got served. LOL. We had a great time. We live in Pearland so it's nice to have a good Indian place to ear nearby. Definitely will be coming back for the Sunday brunch. Danny L. read more

This was some decent Indian food. If you're craving some take out Indian food try this place out. It wasn't the best Indian food but it was pretty decent. Good portion on the naan. Service was attentive as I was the only one there. Ambiance was like a hole in the wall type place. read more

Pearland's expansion of Indian cuisine has been a welcomed endeavor -- even more so when the restaurant provides excellent service. From the moment I entered, Sri approached me with a level of hospitality I did not expect. I ordered the chicken dum biryani and garlic naan which he brought out in less than 10 minutes. He consistently checked in to make sure I had enough water, sauces, and napkins. The chicken dum biryani checks all the boxes for me. It's delicious and well spiced with a proper ratio of chicken to rice. The yogurt and peanut sauce compliments the biryani incredibly well when mixed in. I asked for a second serving of both sauces to cover the entire dish. For only $13.99 and a serving big enough to partially save for later, it's well worth the price. And of course, no Indian restaurant experience is complete without ordering some naan on the side; their garlic naan passes the (hard to fail) standard. This restaurant recently moved one plaza over, now neighboring China Cafe and 24 Hour Fitness. Their interior certainly received an upgrade with ornate walls, increased space, and more color. It contributed to my overall dining experience quite pleasantly, especially when I think back to their old location. Sri really is the best. I recently picked up a side gig as a DoorDash delivery driver and returned an hour after dining in to deliver one of their orders. He gave me two complimentary patties (1 chicken, 1 egg) as a token of appreciation. Out of all the restaurants in Pearland that deserve my business, Biryani Express holds a spot near the top of my list. read more

This is a to go meal review- Me and my husband were cold and hungry during the freeze and double checked with them by calling they were open. We ordered on DoorDash- Chicken biryani Garlic naan Butter panner Pakoras It arrived still hot! The paneer came With rice, I noticed it was a bit on the sweeter end. I also think the base of the curry is made with water not milk or cream, the consistency I'm used to with indian food is different. It was mild! Which I appreciated since I cannot handle spicy food. Garlic naan was good! Pakoras were a bit too soft and oily for me but tasted good. All of this came with raita, what we thought was a sweet chutney and mint chutney but the sweet chutney might have ended up as biryani sauce? It was different! Overall food was decent, I wouldn't necessarily be back for their curries but do want to try their biryani. I'm guessing they are known for biryani since it is caused Biryani Express. My husband really enjoyed the chicken biryani! read more

This is my 1st time visiting this restaurant with my family. We ate in the restaurant. Our food was hot and delicious. The portions were very generous. My daughter has peanut allergies so the server was very detailed to ensure we ordered dishes peanut free and even checked with the cooking staff. This was a great plus for us as we are always careful with her diet. We are fans and will return. I even joined their app which offers rewards and discounts. The interior was just right and it has a stage so they probably perform music venues in the restaurant on certain days. Great ambiance. read more

We went for the breakfast buffet, and it was $12 per person. It was definitely worth it for the price. I didn't like the dosas - they were pretty dry, but I loved the idlis with the peanut chutney and tomato chutney. I also liked the pooris. The selection wasn't huge, but I enjoyed the items that I had, and the service was great because everyone was really kind. They also gave free water bottles and free tea and chai, which I appreciated. The ambiance was pretty chill - nothing to rave about, but I liked how optimized the line was for getting food. I didn't feel like I was waiting for a long time. read more

Updating the review: bad food is health hazard, changing stars to minimum aloo masala was spoilt in the masala dosa, They took it back and packed a 'fresh' one but that smelt even worse than the first. Bad! We got the chilli bajji to enjoy the rain outside and crispy corn, both these were crispy hot and excellent.... yummy. Today's restaurant lesson: nothing which requires aloo masala should ever be ordered here. read more

Visited them before they moved to the new location. Loved it then but it's so much more comfortable and pretty than before. Love the mini colored fires. Food hasn't changed. So good. And our server was so sweet. We chatted about the future of the restaurant, introducing more Indian foods like specials and such. I love this place. I will also say my US Navy Vet husband has been all over the world, and this is his favorite Indian restaurant. read more

Biryani Express - Malai Kofta (top), Paneer Tikka Masala (bottom), 2 Piece Samosa (both plates), Butter Naan (both plates). - Indian Near Me - Pearland, Texas

I stumbled upon this place while I was out and based on other reviews, I decided to stop in for a to-go order. I ordered the samosas, butter chicken with rice, and an order of garlic naan. 10/10 for my entire order! Everything was super delicious, the butter chicken was very flavorful and the samosas were crispy and the filling was spicy. I will definitely be returning! read more

This was my second time going to this place, and I really enjoy it! The waiters are super friendly, and the food comes out fast. I used to not like samosas, however, this place changed my mind about them. Love this place, and I will continue going here as long as they keep it up! My favorite thing here is the Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan. I know that's very typical to order, but they do it so well here. It's creamy and the chicken pieces are large, tender, and there's many. I got a few bones, but I didn't mind since the pieces were so big. The curry is on the sweeter side, however it's still good. The naan is fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, super garlicky, and just delicious. Overall, I ordered two curries just for myself, and it lasted me three separate meals. The portions are definitely big, so you'll be getting your money's worth. read more

We placed an order for veg hakka noodles and veg dumplings biryani. Half trays each of the item. Biryani was so spicy inspite of mentioning to keep it low medium. The hakka noodles was such a disappointment that none of the kids ate them at all. They were just boiled noodles with some scattered vegetables here and there. I never saw such hakka noodles ever before. I told to keep it medium spicy, but this had no color, no flavor and no taste at all. It was flop for me to feed such things to my guests. read more

This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had! Delivery was quick ! Although, I did add into the comment section that I needed eating utensils and they weren't added to my bag. I will be ordering again soon. I'm so glad I found this place! read more

This used to be our go-to spot! Everything was always fresh and flavorful. But lately the quality has gone down and it seems as if they are reusing food from the Buffett for delivery. It's not as fresh and today's bhindi tasted burnt like it was reheated and over cooked. read more

Five stars all around! We usually frequent Noon and Mirch or Desi Kitchen in Clear Lake but we've officially found our new favorite place! We ordered our usual - the chili shrimp, the butter chicken, the saag paneer and two order of garlic naan. Both main dishes came with basmati rice. The butter chicken was fantastic. The perfect amount of sweet buttery mixed with a hint of spice. The saag paneer was just like I like it - generous on the paneer. The chili shrimp were my absolute favorite - super spicy but absolutely cooked perfectly. Paired with grilled peppers and onions - just delicious. The garlic naan was perfect - crispy, flaky and with just the right amount of garlic. The place was so quiet - they desperately needed some mood music or something but our waiter was kind and helpful and the food was fantastic. We will be back! read more

Ordered through Grubhub twice. Both times have been yummy, however the 2nd time I ordered Butter Chicken I've had other pieces of meat other than chicken inside. Not sure if it's goat or lamb, or something else, but the staff should be more careful. My family isn't particular with different types of meat, but it did throw us off guard. Also the garlic naan had too much garlic, to the point where it was extremely bitter. Next time I'll just sick to butter naan. read more

I will never order their saag paneer again. Never. It was hands down thee worst I've ever had. They might as well have served it to me with a straw. It was more like a smoothie than actual food. A huge disappointment. read more

Wow, Biryani Express has definitely made improvements since my last visit two years ago! I decided to give this place another try today, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food here was some of the best Indian I've had in a long time. On this particular visit, I sampled a wide variety of dishes. I highly recommend the samosas here. They are so crispy and flavorful. The Poori Bhaji was also fantastic! The dough was a perfect combination with the potato and onion masala. It is an excellent breakfast option. The chicken tikka masala was packed full of flavor with exorbitant amounts of tender chicken breast. Overall, I had a much improved experience since my last visit. The food was great and the service was much better than on my previous visit. I will be sure to try the weekend buffet in the future! read more

Over the last couple of years, the dining scene in Pearland has been growing. Gone are the days of all chain restaurants and a local spot here and there. Now, local spots are really making their mark. Despite the increase, variety is still a little lacking in the land of Pears compared to Houston. When we're talking Pearland, you'll mostly find Chinese, Mexican, and new American spots. That's why it was so nice to see Biryani Express bringing some solid Indian food to the mix. Located in a shopping center right next to a small Indian grocery store, you can kill two birds with one stone here. Grab dinner and grab yourself some Indian goodies for future meals. I stopped by on a weekend for dinner. I placed my order by phone and went with an order of butter chicken and some naan. Biryani Express is a small and narrow restaurant and they used to have a buffet on some days pre-COVID. Now, I see it as much more of a grab and go type spot. Biryani Express features all of the Indian classics and more. What I found interesting is that butter chicken usually consists of small chunks of chicken. Here, the chunks are a lot larger. It's not a large portion size but the rice they give you definitely is. With an order of bread, you'll be more than full by end of your meal. read more

I really wanted to give this place 4.5 stars, but, I'll round up to 5 to be sweet. This was some of the better Indian food I've had. Nothing has ever beaten Lal Mirch in Los Angeles, CA, but these guys are swinging pretty close. Got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, and the paneer tikka masala. Spice was nice although I'll try spicier next time. Garlic naan could use those cilantro shreds you find on the fancier naans. But overall the tikka masala sauce and the naan came together nicely - not overly sharp or sweet. If I had to ask for anything in it, maybe a little cream of coconut in the sauce to bring up that side of the flavor just a tad. I also wish they had Peshwari Naan, but maybe that's gauche to ask for from a Biryani restaurant... I am embarrassingly uneducated about India's regions and regional cuisine. read more

Picked up a to-go order for dinner. If you live on this end of Pearland it is the go to spot of Indian food. 3.5 stars edging to 4. Friendly, fast, and affordable. Ordered: Goat Rogan Josh: Solid, not the best Rogan Josh but It was good. Watch out for bones in the Goat dishes. Chicken Vindaloo: Good, extra oily good flavor and a good bit of spice. Chicken Curry: Good, nice chunks of chicken in a thick spicy sauce. Dal Makhani: ok, not the best Dal I have every had, but it was ok. Saag Paneer: This was Solid, would order it again. Every dish comes with plane rice. The rice was ok. As you can probably tell, the food is good but not great. I had nothing really bad to say about any of the dishes. However I have definitely had better of each offering at other restaurants. I would say if you live on this end of Pearland and you are craving Indo-Pac cuisine this will satisfy your craving. My total order came to around $60, however between me and my wife we had 6 meals out of it. So $10 a meal for Indian is not bad, especially considering I eat like 5 servicing at a time. PRO Tip: Swadeshi Groceries store is right next door. Go there to pick up some canned chutneys, Pani puri, or frozen Naan to accompany your meal. read more
