    Chicken masala and korma
    Darian C.

I thought the chicken masala and chicken korma was pretty good but I didn't like the naan as much. It didn't taste that fresh and was a bit tough to bite and tear. It also didn't come out that hot. The workers were so nice though and the inside seemed fancy compared to the outside.

We were really craving some Indian food and decided to finally try a sit down meal at Noon mirch. Service was prompt and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. We tried the Gobi Manchurian app, mixed grill kabob platter (chicken, lamb, shrimp, and shish kabob), butter chicken, and jalapeno/cheese naan. The food was authentic and definitely spicy. The kebobs were were tender, cooked perfectly and had a nice amount of seasoning. I especially liked the grilled lamb and tandoori chicken. Overall a great Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the Webster area. For our next trip well likely try the weekend buffet which was recommended to us by a few locals.

My husband is often in the area for work and gets takeout from here. Since I was tagging along on a recent trip we decided to have a sit down dinner here. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered their "Feast for Two" which came with a plate of mixed pakora, 2 different curries, saag paneer, a platter of grilled/tandoori meats, rice, bread and some sweets. In addition we ordered kulfi and thandai. Overall, the food was excellent but I would say the pakora was the weak link. I would order a la carte next time. The thandai was one of the best I've had and I highly recommend you try it!

Just wow. We came here with two small children, a tween, and two adults. Everybody found something they loved and the food was all fresh and delicious. On our several visits to the buffet, there was always 1-2 employees checking the food and making sure the temperature and quality were good. The quality control of this buffet is the best I have ever seen and it was obvious all the food was fresh. There are so many vegetarian options, we were pleasantly surprised and they were all tasty. The service was outstanding. Our server was patient and kind, which can be rare when you have little kids. He checked in on us frequently and made sure to remove used plates as we finished with them. The atmosphere is nice. Not fine dining but I questioned for a moment when I walked in the door with my kids if they were well enough behaved for the establishment. They were good! But the decor is minimalistic and classy. I'd love to see some more Indian-inspired decor though, to give it a bit more personality. We will be back!

We went to dinner here for NYE and everything was wonderful. We were a party of 10 and I know sometimes with a big party it can affect the service but not here. Everything was delivered together, no one was left waiting 10 minutes while they made their dish which I have experienced before. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of everything and answered all of our questions. I had a vegetarian dish I think it was vegetarian delight, a sampler with soo much food. I liked that they brought the samosa and salad out before the rest of the dish. Others also enjoyed their main dishes.

Was not expecting this place to be as upscale as it was, from the outside it did not appear that way. We showed up a bit underdressed because of it. I'm not saying you have to be dressed incredibly fancy though. Just something neat and put together. It did take a while for food to come out. However, we did order the feast for two so it was quite a bit of food. And the manager for the restaurant came to our table and kept us updated and apologized for any of the wait. Something strange did happen while we were there. It's not really the restaurant fault, but during our time there a woman came in with mild erratic behavior. She wasn't disruptive to anybody specifically which is why I believe the restaurant didn't do as much as I would've expected. I guess I was just a little confused how the situation was handled due to how upscale feeling of the restaurants environment.

My husband and I just visited Noon Mirch for a second time to try their buffet. We got there 20 minutes before it closed, but we were still given the opportunity to try it. One of the cleanest buffets I have ever been to and beautiful! Those beautiful chafings had inside the most delicious food! We tried almost everything! They have a salad bar, followed by fried snack bites like Medu Vada (this is spectacular) veggie pakora, they have 2 options of soup, both delicious! A wide variety of vegetarian dishes like saag paneer, soy based meats, and different chicken dishes, my favorite was the cilantro chicken, the lentil soup and the Chana Masala omg, I could eat this Chana Masala for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We ate a lot (shocker) but somehow we never feel sluggish after eating at Noon Mirch, we will keep coming back! I missed the Gobi Manchurian, but we'll get them next time ;)

I really like Noon Mirch. I've never had a bad experience here. During my most recent visit, I dined in and was able to enjoy the weekend buffet that is available 11am-3pm. I really liked it and it was very much so worth the money, only $20. You get to try a little bit of everything. Plenty of meat and veg options. I loved the pistachio dessert. I also liked that they had plenty of cocktails and a few mocktails to choose from. My friend and I both had a mocktail. The presentation of the drink was beautiful. My only complaint is that some of the foods I tried from the buffet were cold. That is my only reason for giving 4 stars. But otherwise, food was great and service was good.

We were headed to a different restaurant but spotted this place last minute, and we did not regret it. We ordered the dinner for 2, and we absolutely loved it. I'm not sure what was my favorite because everything was so good. We also had their special butter chicken samosas for a starter. It was a lot of food, so we took some leftovers home. The service was friendly and the inside was very nicely decorated. My husband really enjoyed it as well, so we will be back!

Was driving down the street to another restaurant and saw this place and turned in. I love Indian food so this was perfect. Was impressed by the place. It is nice inside and great atmosphere. They have a descent bar with lots of options. We had to get a special appetizer and then got the feast for two. Talk about a lot of food. But it was worth it to have a little of a lot of things. It was all so good. I had zero complaints. If I wasn't so full I probably would have ordered more to take home. This may be my new number one spot. Will be going back a lot

Long before Noon Mirch ruled the South Houston (#1) Indian food scene, it was affectionately known as Cuisine of India. They've clearly as popular as ever as they've maintained one of the most reviewed and highest rated establishments in the area. (#2) Unlike it's previous divier incarnation, the newer location boasts a spacious interior with super modern and contemporary vibes. There is a full fledged bar, partitioned dining, and bright decor throughout the place. The bathrooms are clean and the layout is ideal for all group sizes. Prices are going to be higher than the average Indian spot but the food is solid. To get a sense of their variety, I recommend their weekend only (Friday-Sunday) buffet, which showcases some of what they do best. It's priced at $19.89 to honor the year they opened. For starters, they offer rasmalai one of my favorite desserts. When was the last time any Indian lunch buffet in the Houston area featured rasmalai on a consistent basis? (#3) Combined with the burfi, the usual kheer, and the syrupy galub jamun, they have a more robust sweets lineup than any other buffet I've seen locally. The hot foods lineup has been really good. I've enjoyed the dum biriyani, karahi chicken, lamb seekh kebab, chicken chapli kebab, and mutton biriyani. I'm still on the fence with their butter chicken, cilantro chicken, and dry-ish tandoori drumettes. Their vegetarian offerings are impressive as well. I've loved their creamy saag paneer, hearty veggie samosas, filling dosas, and their chaat papdi. There are some unconventional choices that make them a little different: Jackfruit masala? Vegetarian momo manchurian? Nutella samosa? I'm all for unconventional. Parking is in a lot but it can feel limited when they're super packed. I have a feeling the majority of the wait staff is unfamiliar with a desi language, Things got awkward when our server gave us a blank stare after asking if they served navratan korma or lamb rogan josh, which are fairly common dishes. That being said, they're still attentive and very friendly, which is always a plus. Whether it's their signature cocktails, banquet catering, weekend buffet hour, or just a nice group date on a school night, Noon Mirch is certainly worth checking out for all fans of the cuisine. ________ (#1) Ok. More like Webster but close enough. (#2) Which many of the reviews for Cuisine of India are still factored in. (#3) Here and there but definitely not as often as Noon Mirch.

Our main courses included mahkani chicken, vindaloo, fish, chicken biryani, spinach paneer, momo dumplings, and several orders of King of Texas platter. The flavors were wonderful, and when we ordered a few of us, ask them to dial up the spice, but be careful. That being said, this is probably my favorite Nepali/Indian place in this area (albeit there are only a few). Here's my opinion on all the dishes we ordered on our most recent stop: Fish Pakora: Nothing too crazy, but still good and well seasoned Piro Chicken Wings: Really good flavor, but way too spicy for my family personally (we are not crazy on spice, though) Goat Tandoori Momo: Really good, no notes Chicken Makhani: Really rich in flavor, incredibly buttery Lamb Handi Curry: Amazing as well, though enjoyed Makhani more Chili Lamb Jerky: Probably the weakest dish we got. Just not my vibe and tasted like I was eating bones the whole time. Shrimp Noodle Soup: Accidentally got this dish, but not a disappointment in the slightest. Probably my favorite bite of the night. Shrimp Stir Fry Noodles: Also incredible with lots of standout spices added in. Garlic Naan: Never misses Chicken Biryani: So much depth of flavor, went perfectly with the meat dishes we ordered. Service/Ambiance- Great, with not much to complain about. Music was a little bit too loud considering how calm the restaurant's atmosphere would be otherwise. Servers were great and speedy even though it was late and not too crowded. Great place. There's not much more to add. Himalayan Taj is seemingly simple with no flashy presentation in how it's designed, but that allows great food to really shine. Despite my issues with a few of the dishes, this place is really worth a visit whether you're by yourself or with a large group.

These are some of the best drinks I've ever had at any type of Indo-Pak restaurants in Houston. The mint lemonade was definitely in a league of its own. Think cut up chicken thighs in a green curry that almost has a salsa like mouth feel with vegetables. Absolutely decadent. The Steak Tikka. Round of applause. I overheard the owner telling other tables that it's the best steak in Houston. I'll say it's the best steak I've ever had at an Indo-Pak restaurant. The steak was super tender it had that famous Tikka style smokiness. The Butter Chicken. Pretty damn solid. The gravy was silky and perfectly textured. They also use chicken thighs for this, which makes it even better. The Saag Paneer. It was all right, I've had better at other places, but still super solid. The Paneer was fresh and was great on all the various naans we got. For the naan, we just got the garlic and the butter naan. They are absolutely great when they come straight out of the tandoor oven, but I found that they get a little too hard if not eaten quickly. I'm sure they would reheat really well. We also tried the spicy rocket naan and it decent. I would just stick with garlic and butter. The only miss for me was the Mutton Biryani. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid biryani dish, but I've had better that had a little bit more flavor. The mutton was very tender, but the opportunity was making the rice a little bit less clunky. I see a lot of reviews with people hating on things like service or area. Let me just say we had no issues with service. The service was top-notch. We spent $222 with tip across three people. A little pricey but totally worth it.

The portions were generous (as we expect in Texas), so you'll never go home hungry and your wallet will remain heavy too! If you haven't had Nepali food yet, you have to try Momo House first! Nepali food shares similarities with Indian dishes, so you'd like it if you enjoy Indian. I'd say Nepali tends to be lighter (less butter and oils) and the spice/heat level leans milder. That being said, "momos" are distinctly Nepali. They're essentially dumplings, but you have the option to enjoy them as a "jhol momo", which feels different from east Asian dumplings because they're served sitting in a savory soup-like sauce with the familiar flavor notes of a south Asian dish. One cool thing to note: They do not serve beef here, but they have buffalo! Try it if you haven't yet. It's similar tasting to beef, but naturally leaner. Contrary to what you might think, it's actually not gamey at all! Momo House truly lives up to its name. Tons of momo options are available. Plain steamed, pan-fried, deep-fried, chilli momo (which are momos that are stir-fried with a flavorful spicy sauce), with soup (steamed momos sitting in a plain broth), with jhol (steamed momos served in a flavorful soup-like sauce), and they even have the option to get frozen momos if you'd rather cook it at home on another occasion! We tried both their chicken jhol momos ($11) and buffalo jhol momos ($13). They were both phenomenal! You get 10 pieces of hefty-sized dumplings. They do not skimp on the meat here, you'll be pretty full after eating one order of momos! We also tried their chow mein ($14). This was yummy too. It had a fried soybean product and chicken slices in it and a fried egg on top The goat thali ($17) was ordered too. This was great as well. The goat was tender and each item was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I especially enjoyed the saag that came with it!

At some point they changed the flavors when I asked them if they changed chefs or anything they told me no but that was definitely a lie. I've been there a few times within the past few months to give them another Chance. The first time I ordered the chicken biryani and mango lassi the chicken was dry biryani was just not flavorful. I still went back because I wanted to try the goat biryani since it use to be one of my favorites I thought the goat biryani would not be good because of how the chicken biryani was but let me tell you I was wrong. I've also tried their shrimp biryani and it's a better option than chicken. They do have pretty good traditional sweets. I always grab a few gulab jamun when I'm there. Over all the place is good just needs to focus on a few items and really work on improving them.
