Urban Bird has been one of my go-to spots for a while now, and the food consistently delivers! On my latest to-go order, I got the BBQ Urban Fries (with the fries on the side), which came with mac & cheese, and I added the mild Nashville chicken. Sidenote * they do have different heat levels. I also grabbed a large strawberry lemonade, extra sauce, and a side of Hot Cheetos dust. Everything was packed well, and the flavors were fire. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the sauces put everything on point, and that lemonade hit the spot. The service was quick and the vibe at this location is always welcoming, even for takeout. I've never had any issues before until this visit. When I got home, my mac & cheese was cold. I called to let them know, but instead of any sort of resolution, I was told, "The chef said the food was hot," while I was literally reheating it in the microwave. I had no reason to lie and didn't wanna go back and forth. I was a little disappointed, especially since I come quite a bit. I just wish the staff had handled that small situation with a bit more understanding, sometimes a simple "we're sorry" goes a long way. Still, this place is a favorite of mine, and one cold side won't stop me from coming back. I just hope in the future they handle things like that with a bit more care. Pro tip: Don't skip the Hot Cheetos dust it takes everything to the next level! That's just my opinion. Just a note to management: small gestures go a long way when something's off. A little acknowledgment or a quick fix would've made this review a perfect 5 stars.

I've been here about a half dozen times and I usually get the same thing each time. The Buffalo Mac hits the spot. It's a large portion and really hard to finish it. The menu isn't the largest but has some good options. The Mac and cheese is creamy, fries crispy, and chicken tender. The commotion of it all makes a pretty good meal. The location is small and only seats about 30 people. Service is quick and usually don't have to wait long for your food.

Well, what can I say. First time and Jeremiah was great at explaining my options. I went with the basket of 2 tenders. One I chose Nashville and the other extra hot. Nashville was the perfect amount of flavor and taste. But for me the extra hot was it. Especially with the Mac n cheese.. man o man. Also the hospitality of Armani. What a lovely young lady. Jeremiah's chillness and Armanis brightness was the perfect combo lol aside from the tender and Mac! I sure recommended and will be back! Looking forward to the location opening up next to my chiropractor on Almeda! Also the shake my son got was on point.

As a chicken stan -- you read that right, stan not fan -- I was very eager to try Urban Bird. I even told my cousin we ought to have dinner here after we both got off work. I've grown to love Nashville hot chicken the past few years, and I was thinking this place would make me love it even more. Wrong. First off, it's common knowledge that when a customer is served the fiery poultry, it comes to them literally hot. Like straight out of the fryer. I got mine lukewarm at best. Second, the spiciness was underwhelming at best, MIA at worst. I finished my order, but it was because I was famished. My cousin didn't enjoy his order either. According to him, his was served cold. He also felt the staff was incompetent. We both agreed that Raising Cane's was way better. At least I got to watch the Astros pound the Twins on the lone TV here.

We decided to order this In and it was so fresh and hot. We tried the chicken and waffles, the urban sandwich, and the special fries with Mac and cheese on it. Everything was so tasty. The chicken tenders were very meaty and fresh. The sandwich was huge and so good. The Mac and cheese was heavenly and the crinkle fries were awesome. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The coleslaw was fabulous and all the sauces were great. Nothing better then getting a to go order and the food being hot and fresh when you get it home. Great job! We will be back.

If you're a fan of Nashville hot chicken like me, you gotta check out Urban Bird Hot Chicken - Webster, TX ! They are Veteran owned and operated. They just recently opened up, but have locations throughout Houston. I've tried them before and have been patiently waiting for this location to open up. We came in the evening and we were able to order and sit pretty quick, even though the place was slightly busy. Customer service was great and management checked on us frequently. On to the food! They have a variety of things to choose from such as tenders, sandwiches and a bunch of different fry creations. I went with the Urban Fries which was a huge basket of perfectly crispy and seasoned crinkle cut fries, two large chopped tenders, Mac and cheese, sauce, and I substituted jalapeños instead of pickles. This meal was so delicious and comforting and I enjoyed every bite. I wanted my tenders spicy and they suggested the Nashville Hot which had great flavor with just the right amount of burn. My dining companion had the tenders basket and she loved her meal as well. They also have desserts and delicious flavored lemonades as well. I will definitely be back!

Finally had a chance to try this place out. I was craving some hot chicken and fries and what perfect place then a hot chicken place? They have a few interesting takes on fries and the elote fries is definitely what caught my eye. My boyfriend got the tender basket and he got it in the medium hot level? I forgot what it was called, but it did have a good kick! Not terrible, but perfectly spiced. Now, going back to my fries... it was really good. I was worried that the fries would end up being soggy since we ordered it for delivery, but to my surprise, the fries were still hot, fresh, and crispy. The crema and the cotija cheese with the chipotle aioli drenched over the bed of fries and with the chicken tender... it was just a perfect blend of exactly what you would expect from a dish of elote fries. They give you a generous portion too! And I just dived right in and loved every single bite. Definitely recommend this dish! The chicken tenders were also very good, but the fries were where it was at for me. I'm hoping to come back and try their other fry dishes!

Oh my god this place is amazing! Customer service was outstanding, did not have a long wait time, the restaurant was spacious and the food was delicious. I got this Friday night, and honestly probably will tonight too as the loaded fries and tenders were to die for. Good job guys!!

Food - 4.5/5 Service - 4/5…read moreAmbiance - 3.5/5 I had only heard mixed reviews regarding this place going in, so I figured my experience was going to be the same, but it was an overall very positive one. The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.

We were also informed that they stop serving food at 9:30, so pretty much to order soon. Needless to say I was so disappointed and ready to leave. But it being so late, sucked it up. Came here for the sword fish that apparently they no longer serve as their menu had changed. After ordering, I did voice my concerns about the loud music and thankfully they changed it. I was able to enjoy my late night dinner with my husband. We ordered the Kataifi shrimp as an appetizer. They were medium sized served with a spicy tangy sauce. They were very delicious. For my main course I ordered the American red snapper which was also a unique dish as it was served on a corn husk with rice and beans. 3 whole crawfish, a corn and cold salsa verde sauce on the side of the dish. All was delicious except they should have served the salsa verde sauce warm instead of cold. It was still a delicious dish. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which was also delicious. It was served with a side of green beans, puréed potatoes with a foie gras gravy. They have a descent drink menu. I ordered the Friendswood 75 which was a little too sweet for my liking and my husband ordered the Gin and tonic. They didn't have Sapphire so he opted for the Tanqueray. Overall, our meal was delicious and our server Sandy was nice.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.
