But when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised how it's actually much more elevated that fast food The interior is nicely decorated, and has a southern watery vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food came out quick. A manager walked around asking how our dining experience was and even bused our plates For those that haven't been to a CSC, they specialize in chicken salad. There are several different chicken salads to choose from. There's classic, fruitier, more savory, spicier, and seasonal options. There's also sides you can choose from. If you're on the go you can quickly purchase a pre-made meal from a refrigerated section near checkout Some tips: Instead of a side you can get an extra scoop of chicken salad. If you're trying to avoid carbs you can just get the scoops with crackers. Also, if you're trying to join their rewards program you can get points for your order, and on your birthday you get a free meal Everything tasted great, and Im not even the biggest chicken salad fan. This was my first time going to Chicken Salad Chick. I wasn't looking forward to it at all for several reasons. I'm allergic to lettuce. So I can't eat salads (bummer). I'm allergic to onions and I was anticipating that the chicken salads had onions. And I can't stand celery and I was anticipating there would be celery in the food as well. On top of all that, I had been sick for a few days. But, I was going to celebrate my friend's birthday and she picked the place. It was my turn at the counter Yuli was the cashier. I told her I wanted the turkey bacon club. We started talking about the chicken salads. I asked if they had onions. She said "no". Then I asked about celery. She said "all of them have celery". I said "I guess I'll never be eating them then". She explained that the celery is very fine and I'd never know it's in there. She then offered me a free sample. She came back with the Cranberry Kelli, because that's the one that sounded good. I could not taste the celery at all! I was very pleased. Yuli gained her company a new customer. My sister has been raving about this chain for a year so I popped into the Pasadena location. For 1 pm on a Thursday it was busy but the line to order moved quickly. The price for a good sized sandwich with a side and a cookie was very reasonable. She recommended the Sassy Scotty. I don't like chicken salad so I was not sure I would like it but I did. The ranch, bacon and cheese flavors blended well without being overpowering. I got my sandwich toasted and thought it could have been done a little more so. I like hot food so I got a scoop of the Kickin' Kay Lynne as a side. If you like a little buffalo sauce heat then I would recommend it. First time here unassumming location. It's in a strip center and it appears they survived and won because there are 2 defunct restaurants next to it. I really enjoy different variations of chicken salad and they prepare it that way here. They also have pasta salads and soups daily. I ordered Olivia's Old South which has sweet pickles and egg my wife ordered the Fancy Nancy which has apples, grapes, and pecans and my daughter ordered the Barbie Q which was surprisingly good. I ended up getting a cup of Chicken Florentine soup with artichokes. Everything was delicious! I am so impressed with Chicken Salad Chick I signed up for text notifications lol and their loyalty club! With my wife having it I was able to save $5 bucks. Chicken Salad Chick now has a drive thru, so picking up food from there has a gotten a little more convenient. JUST a little. The lines are still long during the lunch rush. They now offer lettuce AND tomato for your sandwich, so if you hate tomatoes like I do, be careful when you order how you want your sandwich made. Chicken Salad Chick offers brownies. They're made with wheat, so you can have a little sweet treat without the guilt. However, their decorated green frosted cookies contain artificial coloring/flavoring. You'd think that since Chicken Salad Chick focuses on fresh, homemade food, they would at least use REAL ingredients in their cookies! Their baked potato soup is disgusting. They add so much bacon, so it tastes very salty. There's very little potatoes in it. It's mainly broth, bacon and cheese. The WORST potato soup we've ever had. They serve it almost every day, but that should be the broccoli cheese soup instead. It's much better than the baked potato soup! Their mac and cheese is terrible too. Salads are great, the place is very clean but the service is not so great. Seems like they are always in a bad mood, and I do go by there quite often. Pasadena is slowly but surely expanding to include interesting food options beyond the typical boring chains to which this area is accustomed. Case in point with Chicken Salad Chick. This is a welcome and refreshing option for lunch or a lite meal. Today I tried the spicy barclay chicken salad, and the traditional chicken salad which in name escapes me at the moment. I also tried the mac and cheese and pasta salad (don't judge me, I just left the gym) all of my selections did not disappoint. In fact, I freakin loved it all! The sweet frosted cookie included with each sandwich was the perfect palate cleanser. I'm sure I will be on a first name basis with the employees real quick seeing how I live nearby and plan on eating my weight in chicken salad this year! I like the food here. The prices aren't far off from fast-food but without the grease and it tastes like homemade cooking. The chicken salad is great and so are the soups. The seating area is pretty nice with southern-style tablecloths. The area is clean and well kept. My main complaint is that they have messed up my take-out sandwich order twice in a row now. I was very excited to try this place as i am a chicken salad lover but i was quite underwhelmed and disappointed. I tried three flavors, and none of them were really even worth the $7 price tag for the small container but I bought one anyway because it would have been weird of me to just have some samples and leave. Fancy Nancy is nothin special, there were some whole grapes in it and there were pieces that were cut up finely. The jalapeno holly one was SOO salty i couldnt imagine eating more than the amount i got in my sample which was maybe a mouthful. The old south one with pickles and egg was the most decent one in my opinion out of the three that i tried. I didnt dare try the other ones with more ingredients because i thought they would be really salty like the jalapeno one. I barely tasted any jalapeno at all honestly. The egg salad was decent, but never in my life have i ever had egg salad that had so many eggshell pieces!! No barbecue egg salad, store bought egg salad, or homemade egg salad!! Every other bite i had was infiltrated by a piece of eggshell. So for that, the $7 for the small container seemed like an absolute dud. The one thing that i tried that was actually worth it in my opinion was the broccoli cheese soup. It was very cheesy with big chunks of broccoli and wasnt mostly heavy cream like some broccoli cheese soups ive had. For that reason alone, i put more than one star. Overall, if you want good chicken salad, you are better off making your own or getting some from HEB. I would only come back for the broccoli cheese soup. read more

My wife and I love Chicken salad so when we heard about this place, we had to try it. They have at least 6 different kinds of chicken salad served in a variety of ways. We both got chicken salads with some fruit and nuts in them, similar to what we make at home. Both chicken salads were bland and very dull. Our own version is much tastier. In fact Arby's has a chicken salad sandwich that is much, much better. I got a macaroni and cheese for a side order and I would have preferred the boxed variety from the supermarket.
