Food - 7/10 The tenders were juicy and even though I got the medium, my mouth was definitely on fire. Downside, the fries had no flavor even though they looked to be covered in seasoning which was sad. Was excited and looking forward to trying this when they opened for quite sometime. Stayed away the first day since I knew there would be a crowed on opening day, as they advertised a limited edition giveaway to the 1st 100 people through the door. I wanted to try something new since watching the videos of their advertisements looked super delicious... Tennessee Chicken! Restaurant was clean, the staff were sweet and friendly. Menu is small and this is a good thing! Normally that makes for better fresh food turn over for both the customer and the business owner. So I consider this a smart business decision! Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment... second day open and already at a point you shouldn't be until months in... ordered two angry macs with country chicken the way they came... had to try the whole original experience... The chicken was ok. Tasted fresh and was all white meat. The fries were good seasoned and still a little crispy after being under the sauce and Mac! As for the sauce... it doesn't mesh well with the Mac and cheese... it gives it an odd flavor and the more you eat it the more it turns your stomach. As for the Mac the part I was most excited for... was nothing to be desired at all... it was a huge disappointment after seeing that creamy, stringy Mac in all the advertising as they were making the bowls and filling trays... this was most definitely left over, reheated, Mac and cheese from opening day... it was flavorless, clumpy, sticky, mushy, and overall just gross. Tasted like the processed cheese was melting over the cooked pasta and nothing more. It gave you the image of scrambled eggs. The more you ate, the more nauseous you felt. We didn't want to end up sick, so we ended up throwing half away after spending $30 for two bowls. Overall rating is one star. It's nothing to be desired, overly priced, and to be honest... it's just another chicken pop up. Sorry, but I will not be back. I stopped by the new Angry Chickz in Webster, which is off of Egret Bay Blvd in the Marinagate Shopping Center. If you're not familiar then it is the strip plaza adjacent to Scout Bar, and across the street from Ichiban. Upon entering Angry Chickz, I was heartily greeted by a large female staff of (I guess we'll call them angry chicks), though actually they were very pleasant. The music volume was loud so I'm going to ding them on that. Restaurants usually do that to encourage diners to eat and run, especially when there is limited seating. The layout kind of reminds me of Urban Bird except a smaller format and an even smaller menu. At first glance, there seemed to be only four combos available: (#1) two hot chicken sliders; (#2) two hot chicken tenders, each on a piece of white bread; (#3) a slider and a tender on white bread. The last one is the weirdest, and least appetizing: (#4) two hot chicken tenders over a bed of buttery rice topped with slaw and secret sauce. I mean rice does go with a lot of things, but slaw ... really? Additionally they offer mixed bowls, so I decided to go with the Angry Mac (medium heat level), which is two chicken tenders cut up over a bed of fries and then smothered in mac & cheese and special sauce. Food temperature and texture were spot on, but the taste was nothing special. The spice level of the chicken and fries was a perfect medium, but nothing to write home about. I've had more decadent mac n cheese from Chic fil A. With a drink the total was just over $17 so not the best bang for your buck. Since there are a lot of new places in this strip center, you kind of have to fight for parking, and not having a drive through is not good business in this economy. By all means, give Angry Chickz a try--you could tell your buddies you ate an angry chick. However, if you want more menu options and better ambiance then my advice is to go to Urban Bird or Cook Shack. read more

I order 26 tenders and fries, spend $150 and ask for ranch as an additional dip sauce ( which I didn't see as an option on the online order. ). I was offered only 2 small cups. Insulted, I suggested I pay for additional because I am feeding a team of 12 and was offered 2 more small cups. I exit and as I am halfway back to my office I receive a phone call from the restaurant. "You took the wrong order". So it's my fault that I told you my name and you handed me the wrong order. I took what you identified as my order. The manager lacked the skill set to navigate the customer experience in regard to the restaurant's mistake. There are other hot chicken options in the area. It was opening day but place was not crowded when I got there unless you were an employee...they had about 30 people in the kitchen and I was the only person ordering at the time I arrived. Took about 10-12 minutes for food to come out (which I don't mind, means it was cooked fresh). Food wasn't bad but again it wasn't anything I can't get anywhere else. Certainly feel the place was overhyped. I think it is more expensive than the other Hot Chicken places in the area thus making it not worth the trip for me because it is the same as everywhere else. read more
