It's a great service and great people and nice please for breakfast and the food is delicious

    Pupusas

The pupusas were okay, the cheese was better than the revueltas. The place is very small and at the time we went there were not a lot of people. The lady attending us was not as helpful and with like a "I don't want to be here" attitude. Kind of upsetting since it was our first time. I probably won't come here again since I've had better pupusas.

    Chicken tamal
    Vanessa M.

Ordered through DoorDash and saw that there would be an hour wait for delivery, I didn't care and ordered anyways. When the food arrived, it was still HOT and it tasted as if it was literally made when I ordered it. The Pupusas revueltas were good, but the chicharron con queso were even better. My favorite dish though was the chicken tamal. It's hard for me to find a good salvi tamal that tastes fresh and delicious. I've tried a ton of different restaurants so I can definitely taste when they've been thawed and reheated. That was not the case with this place. FRESH! FRESH! FRESH! I'm bookmarking this location lol

This restaurant is an absolute standout! I tried a variety of pupusas--cheese, cheese and beans,…read moreand chicharrón with cheese--and every single one was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and authentic, with just the right balance of crispiness and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Not only was the food fantastic, but it was also priced very reasonably, making it an incredible value. But what really sets this place apart is the excellent hospitality. The owner took the time to personally greet us and share the inspiring story of how he started the restaurant. It's clear he has a true passion for both food and people, and it made the dining experience that much more special. From the warm welcome to the great food, this place has it all. 10/10, I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the Pasadena area. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic pupusas and a genuinely great dining experience!

First time here and I was overwhelmed this is not an original hondurean place . I bought $37 worth of food the fed 4 people . The banana was very crispy ,like potato chips, not like the original green bananas to eat with cream . The baleadas were folded like tacos and it stick to the paper they serve it with , which make me think that maybe the flour was not fully cooked . I tried to complain but they said that's how is serve . Services was good prior to the complaint. The ambiance was clean and family oriented during the day.

There aren't enough Baleadas shops in the world and this kind of Honduran food is spectacular and totally delicious - so make sure you swing by and give it a try when you're down here, because we did and we were absolutely thrilled by it. Can't believe this place hasn't got more attention. It's one of about five or six amazing Honduran places we've eaten at in Houston so far. There's also a lot of great Salvadoran and Guatemalan places in these parts, not to mention Mexican. But try this, and see for yourself.

(I think this entry has the wrong house numbering, but the street is correct - 3902 S Shaver St.)…read more I always like to shop for produce and some Mexican groceries at this "chain" of markets found all around Houston. And while I had barely 15 minutes to spend here before going back to work, I figured I'd try to squeeze in some tacos. First of all, you know it's an authentic Mexican taqueria when each taco is built from TWO corn tortillas, as well as when there is a salsa and condiment bar next to the scale. At $2.19, the tacos are a pretty reasonable price with that in mind, and fortunately also with the quality in mind, as the lengua and barbacoa are meltingly tender and converted me to a tongue aficionado, even if my predominant use of English along with my fundamental Spanish knowledge seemed as if it earned me all the tender, meaty pieces of the tongue rather than the flappy white ends that might very well be more "authentic." As long as it tastes good, I don't really mind. One might be concerned when the tacos are wrapped up in foil and then in a bag, to be paid for at the front register along with groceries (as I also bought a bargain wheel of La Vaquita Queso Fresco for some impending chilaquiles), but they stayed together perfectly fine and didn't leak anywhere. The tables are nothing particularly fancy but, at a taco market, never need to be. The interior is basically a supermarket but much smaller, with plenty of meat selections at the butcher shop that seems to give this place its subtitled name. There is even house-made Salvadoran curtido alongside the bevy of salsas, but unfortunately this batch was on its last legs, to expire within five more days, and looked it too - and thus I wouldn't even dare purchase it. I will be around this area a couple of times a month for work and would absolutely return here for lunch break to try a variety of tasty tacos! Not Yet French says "Une vraie taqueria mexicaine !
