Gordita with beef fajita.. I should have taken a picture of the inside.

Great Place. But the pupusas weren't the best item on the menu. I came for lunch. I ordered two pupuas and two beef gorditas. Everything was made fresh to order, this is NOT fast food. The pupuas were very good. Very fresh and hot, i wish the pork had some more flavor but these pupuas are good af. I can't imagine finding a better pupusa in Houston. But the best item was the gorditas with beef fajita. 1st of all, it was huge. Two of them was too much for lunch. Unlike some other trucks, the actual Gordita was made fresh when I ordered it, which made it amazing. The beef fajita had a lot of flavor on it's own. The melty white cheese, the meat, the onions, the cilantro, all piping hot inside the freshly fried masa. It was so good. And it was only 2.50 for a HUGE Gordita, huge value. Also, the green salsa was very spicy. This spot is a must try

Pupusas... A piece of Salvadorean heaven!

I was craving pupusas on a Saturday night and my usual go to spot was closed. Luckily I found this spot on Yelp and although reluctant to try, I'm so glad I did. They were just a few minutes from closing but the lady kindly took my order over the phone. This is a food truck and although they have an area for you to sit (I only picked up ) please don't come here expecting a candle lit dinner. It seems like a family owned business (mother / daughter). The cooks seemed very humbled and had my order ready upon arrival. The pupusas were so damn good! I'm by far a pupusas connoisseur but the several places I've tried them at they come with a tomato-ey salsa and curtido (cabbage relish). The salsa this place had was the best I've tried with pupusas. It was green salsa and had a nice kick to it (usually it's flavorful but not spicy at all). The pupusa itself was really tasty, I ordered three revueltas (fried pork belly & cheese) and at $1.50, I paid less than $5 for my dinner! Only one complaint and I'm not sure if it qualifies as such because it didn't directly affect me. When I arrived to pick up my order I overheard the lady telling the person on the other line that they had pupusas but were out of curtido and salsa. My heart dropped for a minute there (lmao!) but apparently I was one of the last ones to get the salsa and curtido. It was past their closing time so make sure you come early. I'm ditching my old pupusa truck and coming to Katy's from now on.

I usually come here a lot but today I got food poisoning idk if it's just me or anyone else who eat 3/30/2020 the lady's are pretty rude in the past I wouldn't mind it bc there always pretty busy and I know hoe it is in the food industry but they got super rude told me to fuck off for bringing back my food and showing them I got sick I didn't want anyone else getting sick.

I love pupusas. But when I come to this place the waiting will take about 45 min, even if you order by phone 30 min ahead they will forget lol so just be prepare to be in line for a good 15 min. But over all the pupusas are good and almost the size of a paper plate.

I'm not Salvadorian but I Love pupusas. They are very reasonable. $1.50 each pupusa and they are bigger than most other places I've tried. Its recommended to call your order in and then pick it up because they make them right there so it takes them a bit and they do get a lot of business. This is not a restaurant, it's a food truck, but they do have a table or two in case anyone does want to sit and eat there.

Our server was super attentive and he made sure that everyone's food and drinks came out at the same time even if someone came in later. I had the nachos with beef fajita and chicken, and I thought it was pretty good, it has the same set up as nachos from Pappasito's and my only complaint was that I asked for a side of sour cream to go and was charged a dollar for it. So if anything keep in mind that if you request an extra or even a condiment on the side, you might get charged a small fee.

I feel like my food was probably sitting for a while because it wasn't hot. The omelette itself didn't really have any flavor nor did the potatoes. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the avocados and fruit. I didn't even really feel like it was an omelette. Looked more like a bunch of meat wrapped in an egg cover vs everything being nicely mixed together. I took it to go because I didn't want to throw it away there. The service was very slow. I'd say it took a little over an hour for me to get my food and some people in the group waited longer. One of the girls waited for quite a bit and then the waiter told her they don't have the item she was waiting for. Waiting 1 hr to be told your meal is isn't available is crazy lol Waiter was nice though and comped the other item she ordered. Overall, I'd say I wasn't impressed with Gloria's brunch for sure. Maybe I'd try them again for happy hour at their other location.

I went there due to seeing their instagram story about a $10 meal deal (2 pupusas, a pastelito, and a soda) but they had run out of pastelitos so I had to quickly choose something so I'm thankful that they were happy to help answer any questions. It's a small food truck located in the same parking lot with Fiesta off Paton and Cavalcade so there's no seating or real space to eat (unless you eat in your car). They're also honest about the wait time. They said it would take 15-20 minutes and they didn't go over their time estimate. I have only had pupusas a handful of times (I'm from a small town in WA state that only had Mexican restaurants since only Mexicans lived there, so don't judge ) and can say these were the best I've had thus far. They were freshly made and piping hot when I got them (I had to put the bag down from my lap because it was too hot) and remained so throughout eating them. The cheese was gooey and stringy and their salsa has a nice little kick to it. It wasn't greasy or too salty which is always a plus. I ordered the revueltas (pork & cheese) and added beans to them. They are HUGE so be mindful when ordering them (they also taste better the next day if you have any leftover). These were definitely worth the price. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks if I know where they sell good pupusas. Let's just say I'll be going in again (they're so close to me). I hope y'all enjoy.

Beware, they play loud Christian music. They have a small grocery store within the restaurant where you can find all types of Salvadoran products. I wanted a fruit drink and asked to try the cantaloupe juice first. It was artificial and too sweet. I'm glad I didn't order it. I was appalled when I saw the price of the fruit salad drink. It's $7.99. Who do they think they are? I inquired if they have a small size. They don't. I wonder how many folks purchase it. This is a low-income area. I got down to business and ordered a cheese and loroco pupusa. It was of course served with curtido (cabbage) and a tomato sauce. The pupusa was good but I've had better. The sauce was watered down. I would probably go back to have a pupusa if I'm in the area. But it's not my favorite place to have them.
