Salata is one of my favorite spots because you get a hearty amount of food, the ingredients are not only healthy, they are fresh, and I never feel horrible for over indulging. This location is tucked away at the end of an outlet just outside Sam Houston Parkway. The interior is very clean, and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff is generally friendly. They walk you through all the ingredients/sections to build your ideal salad or wrap. At this location the person operating the register always asks if I have reward points. I like this because I could easily forget to scan my member number. This person takes my phone number and lets me know my point balance which is also nice. Some tips: Don't be scared to ask for all the ingredients you want. You can even ask for extra scoops of dressing. There are nuts, seeds, and bacon near the soup... you can put this in your salad too. I get so many components I don't feel the need to add a protein. Instead I add egg and bacon as my protein, and it doesn't cost extra. Also, ask for pita chips or bread as you're checking out. These are also complimentary. I would consider downloading their app and joining their rewards program as you can earn $5 off your next meal. Also, on your birthday you are given a $12 credit to Salata. Cheers!! read more

Look- this place is delicious, but a $18-20 just doesnt sit right with me. I have came here a few times and have enjoyed it. You basically build your own salad and they do have many options and combinations that you can create, you can even have a seafood salad if you would like with shrimp or salmon. The salads are a pretty generous size so that and the fresh ingredients they offer do make up for the price a little. Overall, food is good and the location is great. This location wasn't as good as the one I went to the day prior. The staff was great though and not stingy at all with the portions. I always ask for extra scoops because I'm not about to pay $13+ for a salad and you give me one scoop of apples or grapes. Like come on y'all!!! But they were generous and didn't charge me extra for it. The veggies just weren't as fresh, they didn't have bread and the store wasn't as clean (it wasn't dirty in the slightest though) as the other store. We visit a ton of Salata locations, and they are all great. This one is no exception. I probably squealed a little when I saw that it was adjacent to my daughter's favorite eatery. Now, we make it a habit to visit this locations after jiu juitsu during week nights. I love that we are not indulging in traditional fast food and ingesting an overload of carbs. If you visit this location and are unable to find parking in front, just drive to the the side/back of the building. You can thank me later. The staff is very kind and welcoming which make it a more enjoyable dining experience whether you dine in or take out. Definitely visit this location. read more

I'm so irritated with the to go orders. This is not the first or even the second time I've gotten "sad salads." The staff is very nice but every time I order online my salad barely has anything in it. It's like if you're not watching them, they try to skimp on everything. Salata is a place I visit about 3-4 times a week but at other locations. This was my first time at this location and will be my last. I'm disappointed by this since I now work across the street. The pita chips were extremely salty and coming from me who add salt to everything says a lot. The shrimp tasted almost like they were bad and just overall the salad wasn't good! I get the same thing on my salad and it didn't taste right. I took 2 bites and was done. Waste of $18 dollars. On a good note the place was clean. But I won't be back. read more

Place is great! Think subway but for salads. They have a huge assortment of ingredients. Just be careful as price does add up pretty fast while adding protein but if you keep it simple it is pretty cheap, other than that they do keep their ingredients fresh and tasting great. We just tried the Salata in our area recently and my family was quite pleased. They not only liked just the healthy food choices and great service, but also the variety of toppings and dressings Salata has. Whether it's a salad or a wrap, the staff makes it in front of you, all fresh ingredients. Wraps come with a side of homemade pita chips while salads come with fresh bread. The salads come in two sizes, large and small. When making a wrap, they mix all your toppings well together and ask what kind of tortilla you prefer and it's served nice and toasty. Yes, they do offer a kids meal. They have a tea tap that only serves real, organic tea. Fresh baked cookies too. Downsides: the location for this Salata is easily missed and they have some major competition like MOD Pizza, Nam Noodle, Freddy's, etc in the area. When the line is busy, you may be rushed to finish your order and can easily get it mixed up with other customers' order. Salata only offers three kinds of soup and they cost extra if you want it with your meal. It's still a good place when you don't want a heavy meal.
