    PHORRITO

Today, I tried their new menu item--the PHORRITO--and it was absolutely AMAZING, just like everything else here! It definitely did not disappoint. The service was also fantastic, as always.

The pork banh mi was great. The shaking beef was tasty. The noodles were okay, a bit sweet but overall a good viet spot for the area.

The staff is super friendly and very informative! When you walk in you order at the front and they have their menus on the screen and even a copy a physical copy you can look at. The staff is super friendly and patient. They even give you information on whatever you have questions about. Everything on the menu looked soo good especially the ramen. my boyfriend got the pork ramen with extra shrimp and eggs. he absolutely loved it, the staff even asked him if he wanted it spicier which my boyfriend was happy about because he has a very high spice tolerance. i got the V-bowl with chicken and it was SO DELICIOUS. i loved everything bite!! my food tasted very refreshing!! to drink they had some bottles drinks and some lemonades they make, bobas and teas. i got the green tea and they went out of their way to make it less sweet for me because i like the bitterness of green tea! the green tea was pretty tasty and my boyfriend got the Vietnamese coffee and he says it was very good and strong like he likes it hehe they even offered us water, which is free!! the staff is very attentive and our food came out sooo quick! i will definitely be coming back here. it's quiet here and very relaxing thank you Nam Noodles for your services! side note: the young sir gave me a free creme brule and free candy

Grilled Pork Spring Rolls and peanut sauce

I was craving some takeout and decided to try this spot. The order confirmation said about an hour for delivery but it came much sooner than that. I was pleasantly surprised since I had a decently sized order. The first thing to catch my eye on the menu were the Red Oil Dumplings. I had some years before at a different restaurant and I was hooked. They're hard to find, so I was overjoyed to see them offered. I don't know if they were hand-made or not, but they certainly tasted that way! The minced pork filling was fresh and the sauce was a perfect ratio of spicy oil and tangy (soy sauce?) Next I tried the Grilled Pork Spring Rolls. I tend to default to the ones that come with shrimp but I was feeling basic and went with pork instead. It turned out to be a great choice! The flavor of the tender meat was sublime and went very well with the accompanying peanut sauce. Once again, I don't know if it's made at the restaurant, but it was probably one of the best peanut sauces I've ever had. It was both smooth and also had tiny crushed peanut bits that added a nice crunchy texture alongside the chewy roll. I'm trying to stay away from fried foods and dishes that are full of carbs. (Guilty laugh) I wanted to go rather protein heavy for this order so next I had the Beef Satay. Out of everything I tried, I think I enjoyed this the most. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. I could have happily munched on several orders of these and nothing else. Lastly, I got one of the noodle salad bowls. I was expecting more salad than noodles, but it turned out the opposite. I ran out of the chopped romaine lettuce, sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, and fresh bean sprouts rather quickly and was left with a ton of rice noodles. On the one hand, I LIVE for noodles and rice, so this made me happy. On the other hand, my glucose levels didn't like me afterward. It came with a tangy soy dressing that reminded me of the sauce used for the Red Oil Dumplings. On top, I had a mix of chicken and steak. The steak was tasty, but didn't quite have the same oomph as the chicken did. I could really taste the herbs used to season the chicken, and the meat wasn't dried out at all. I almost never order chicken salads for that reason, (too many bad experiences with dried out meat), but this turned out perfect for me. Next time, I might go for chicken only! I shared a little of everything with my husband and he immediately looked up where this place was located. I'm pretty sure he'll want to order from them again soon!

We walked in and were told to sit where we wanted and handed menus. They took our drink orders first and after bringing our drinks, they also brought us small bowls with a consume style chicken soup/broth. This was tasty, I enjoyed it. They took our orders a couple of minutes after as well. We started by getting 3 appetizers, the calamari, chicken satay and the dumplings. My friend ordered the Pad Thai (medium level spicy ness so maybe a 2-3?), and my other friend and I got the Maiasian fried rice box which comes with shrimp fried rice and a fried chicken cutlet on top. You can also choose your level of spice on this dish. My friend went with a 2 and I chose not to get it spicy as spicy food causes me stomach issues. After placing our order, our first appetizer came out in about 5 minutes and it was the calamari. I could see the seasoning on the breading, they looked tasty and some were fried crispier than others but nothing was overcooked. Upon first bite, the flavor was really good but the spice on them kicks in after you've ate it and they are HOT. I can handle a small amount of heat but these felt like a 5. Needless to say I only ate two. The chicken satay was my favorite of the appetizers, the dipping sauce is peanut butter forward which I loved because you get the saltiness right away along with that PB taste and the sweetness and mild spice come after. The cucumber provided with the satay was the cooling agent I needed to sedate the heat from the calamari. It was cool, refreshing and sweet. The dumplings were pork and shrimp and come with a soy dipping sauce. They were tasty as well, not the best I've had, but enjoyable. Seasoned perfectly. My dish, the Maiasian fried rice box was delicious! The shrimp are a nice size, fairly big, and my favorite vegetable in the rice was the broccoli. The chicken cutlet was fried perfectly too. I really enjoyed it and the one my friend got wasn't too spicy at a level 2. I'd say it was still pretty mild. I did get a taste of the Pad Thai and at a level 3 spice I'd say. It was sweet with that spice kicking in after. It was milder than I thought but over all still a good Pad Thai. After we finished eating, they brought us to go boxes since we all didn't really finish our plates. It was a lot of food and they also brought us these home made cookies with a chocolate frosting on them in the shape of a star. Not sure what kind of cookies these were, maybe sugar cookies I'd say, but they were DELICIOUS! If they would sell boxes of these to go I'd buy 2 or 3 of them hahaha. They were the best thing to end our meals with. I forgot to mention that our food came out pretty fast, and the kitchen is in the dining area so you can see, hear and smell the food being prepared. Aside from the sound of the chef cooking, the restaurant has a quiet ambience and I find it quite cozy. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. It's really a hidden gem.

It could have been due to the colder weather. However, we finally made it during a time when it was open. The food was quite good. I had the kimchi rice, and my husband ordered the bullhop beef. Next time, I'll definitely add a protein to the kimchi rice. Both dishes were very flavorful, with the rice mixed with kimchi cabbage.
