I love this place! The food is so fresh and delicious; perfectly made. I usually order takeout, but I had time to dine in a couple weeks ago before my flight home. Everyone was so kind, extremely accommodating, and very welcoming. I had the vegan shrimp spring rolls, vegan shrimp V-bowl, and peachy lychee to drink. The food was brought out quickly by such a kind server, and they checked on me frequently. I ordered a vegan chicken banh mi sandwich to go, for lunch the next day. One of the chefs came out to ask if I wanted the ingredients separate so the sandwich wouldn't get soggy. I felt so cared for Especially since my flight got canceled, and I had to sleep in the airport to catch a 6am flight the next morning! I drove straight to work, but I had my banh mi, so at least I had lunch. Toward the end of my meal, I was loving the lychee jellies. My server brought me some extra, just because he saw me enjoying them. I brought my husband with me today, and we ordered some takeout for the drive back home this time. This place is worthy of 5 stars not because the food they serve is going to blow you mind (the flan almost did though - your brother can cook), but because its like home. Good Food, Good People. Ambiance - Sister and Brother at the front counter makes you feel like your at home. Food - if your looking for a sure thing, this is it. Not mind blowing but just delicious. I added a pork banh mi to go because I keep forgetting to get lunch at work, one because I am quite busy, but second, I hate having to find a place to grab a quick lunch that isn't Mexican food, and around the Pasadena office it is mostly Mexican (don't get me wrong, I like Mexican food, but most of them are the same or I am not willing to make the time to research those that are not). I mentioned that the banh mi would be to go and the sister immediately said she should would pack the vegetables separately so the bread would not get soggy. Anyways, I started off with the red spicy gyoza, several gyoza/potstickers steamed and then left to swim in a slightly spicy red sauce. After the 2nd piece my next thought was I should pour this sauce over my rice on my main. As the sister drops off my main of drunken beef and rice, she says, "some people pour the spicy sauce over their rice." I am thinking this lady and restaurant thinks like me. The drunken beef, just the right bite, just the right chew, with the only fault being the egg, i asked to add to the dish, was slightly more solid than I would like, but I must admit I should have said to leave the yolk totally runny. (Will do that next trip). My fault. Then there was the flan I ordered at the beginning of the meal. It resides in the fridge in a container that states the container is not a take home item. When I ordered it she said she would bring it out when I am done with my main. The first bite, was the silkiest flan I have had in years. Just the right firmness, just the right sweetness. Apparently the brother has had pastry chef training and I had to let them know that it was evident at the first scoop. I was craving some takeout and decided to try this spot. The order confirmation said about an hour for delivery but it came much sooner than that. I was pleasantly surprised since I had a decently sized order. The first thing to catch my eye on the menu were the Red Oil Dumplings. I had some years before at a different restaurant and I was hooked. They're hard to find, so I was overjoyed to see them offered. I don't know if they were hand-made or not, but they certainly tasted that way! The minced pork filling was fresh and the sauce was a perfect ratio of spicy oil and tangy (soy sauce?) Next I tried the Grilled Pork Spring Rolls. I tend to default to the ones that come with shrimp but I was feeling basic and went with pork instead. It turned out to be a great choice! The flavor of the tender meat was sublime and went very well with the accompanying peanut sauce. Once again, I don't know if it's made at the restaurant, but it was probably one of the best peanut sauces I've ever had. It was both smooth and also had tiny crushed peanut bits that added a nice crunchy texture alongside the chewy roll. I'm trying to stay away from fried foods and dishes that are full of carbs. (Guilty laugh) I wanted to go rather protein heavy for this order so next I had the Beef Satay. Out of everything I tried, I think I enjoyed this the most. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. I could have happily munched on several orders of these and nothing else. Lastly, I got one of the noodle salad bowls. I was expecting more salad than noodles, but it turned out the opposite. I ran out of the chopped romaine lettuce, sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, and fresh bean sprouts rather quickly and was left with a ton of rice noodles. On the one hand, I LIVE for noodles and rice, so this made me happy. On the other hand, my glucose levels didn't like me afterward. It came with a tangy soy dressing that reminded me of the sauce used for the Red Oil Dumplings. On top, I had a mix of chicken and steak. The steak was tasty, but didn't quite have the same oomph as the chicken did. I could really taste the herbs used to season the chicken, and the meat wasn't dried out at all. I almost never order chicken salads for that reason, (too many bad experiences with dried out meat), but this turned out perfect for me. Next time, I might go for chicken only! I shared a little of everything with my husband and he immediately looked up where this place was located. I'm pretty sure he'll want to order from them again soon! read more

I am literally about to have NAM Noodles and More for the 3rd day in a row. Dinner. For. Three. Days. They make a Seven Spice Tofu Banh Mi that is legit out of this world. Those spices must come from the gods themselves because I can't get enough. They're delicious. They also make a Vegan Crispy Chicken Banh Mi that is equally delicious. My hubby likes their Beef Banh Mi and gets that a lot, too. Also, the sandwiches reheat pretty well! My hubby and I shared one the other night and half got put in the fridge. I had it the next day and it was still delicious. Normally I get the Vegan Pho, but the sandwiches have taken over my pallet. Obviously. The vegan spring rolls are excellent, too. Honestly, the last few times I've eaten from Nam Noodles and More there's been nothing to complain about. Take away is excellent. And if you dine you'll get excellent service as well as food. It was a chili rainy day so I was craving some pho so thought I give this new place a try. I've been working in the Deer Park/Pasadena/La Porte area for the last 6 months and have yet to find a decent bowl of pho and it's not without trying and with an abundance of Vietnamese places in the area like Pho Central, Pho Vi Vi, and Nam Mi. So walking in OMG THEY HAVE A STREET FIGHTER 2 ARCADE MACHINE!!!! That was what was going through my inner child head as I walked up to the counter to place my order. I had to hold in my inner child excitement and acted like a working adult on his lunch break. So just walking in there were some signs right off the bat that led me to believe that the pho wasn't going to be good. My expectations were low to begin with just based on the area. First I didn't see any Asian people in the entire restaurant including all the workers. Second the entire menu was all in English and the options was very basic like it was Americanized. The options were beef pho and chicken pho and no sizes. The beef pho comes with the standard fare of tai (sliced round steak) and nam (well done flank). You won't find any meats like gau, gan, or sach here. I ordered at the counter and strategical choose the table closest to the Street Fighter 2 machine. I placed my drink on the table and quickly ran to my car to get spare quarters for the arcade. When I came back I realized the Street Fighter 2 machine is FREE TO PLAY. There was already 2 kids playing on it so I anxiously sat waiting at my table pretending to wait for my food which did take a while to come out. The kid's mom ushered them to leave so I immediately stood up and took my turn to play and took a trip down memory lane. I kept playing until my food came out. Good thing they have the game because it took a long time for my food to come out. But not going to hold that against them since I got to play Street Fighter 2 for free. Ok back to the food. So since my expectations was low already I figured I'll just eat my pho really fast so I can go back to play Street Fighter 2 again. Ironically, out of all the pho places in the area, this has to be the best one I've eaten yet. I mean it wasn't great like some of the places on Bellaire but considering the area, it wasn't bad. It definitely exceeded my expectations. After finishing my pho, I wanted to stay and play Street Fighter so bad but the adult in me forced me to go back to work. I'm giving this place 5 stars because if the Street Fighter 2 free play. Without it, I would probably give 4 stars. Price was cheap. Pho and Street Fighter 2 free play all under $10 bucks.
