This is one of the most decent Vietnamese places I've had in this area (better than the Chinese restaurants I've tried as well). They made the food and drinks fast. The pho taste good, I wish there was a bit more meat. The broth had a nice flavor. My boyfriend liked it too. Bf: 4/5 me: 4/5 My boyfriend said it's the best bánh mì sandwich he had (he's tried many many) and that he can taste all the ingredients. Excellent Pho and Vietnamese vermicelli dishes. I had the pho with brisket and eye round steak. It comes with fresh basil, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts. and cilantro you add. Excellent service. I thought the ice tea was a little strong, but for the Spring rolls, that was the best peanut sauce I ever had. It looks like there was some coconut sauce as well as hot sauce added. My companion had the grilled pork and vermicelli with an egg roll. If it was fancier inside and the food was Exceptional instead of Excellent I would rate it five stars. read more

I came here a long time ago and had their pho. It was good. This time I was in a rush so I ordered fresh spring rolls and lettuce wraps. Both were delicious and rather filling. The lettuce wraps came in four large "cups" of lettuce. I liked how they chopped up the chicken really small too. And I ordered some Vietnamese coffee to go. Yummm. What a treat! The service here is really good too. I would definitely come back. So glad it is close to where I work. read more

There is a spread for everybody here, Vietnamese food, Chinese (American catered) Fried rice and fried foods such as shrimp, fish and french fries. I can see all of the good reviews of 4 stars and above for this place which I would believe if I ever visited here again would reflect that on me as well but I was just not feeling the Pho' like everybody was talking about. To me, it was borderline flavor to flavorless but had really tender thin sliced beef that tipped it over the 6 outof 10 scale, let's that that a 6 1/2 or even a 7. For only $5 that night I could NOT shoot down this dish and guess what, let my budget order me some fried fish, shrimp and fries. Yes, I was hungry that night. Let me tell you about the fish and shrimp platter. It came out hot, it came out fresh, it beckoned me to dare to hatch the fries immediately.....I burned my tongue, did not expect that. It was a good hurt feeling like when you pull a tack out of your butt, yes, I learned to be careful where I sit now. The tarter sauce that came out with it was decent. It was hard for me to distinguish if it was sysco imported semi clear goo or if they made it in the back since there were good chunks of pickles entwined in it. The ketup with the bottle dallop squeezed mayonnaise on top made an interesting ponder whether to eat it that way because you like mayonnaise or aren't used to eating fries like that and will give it a try. Each to their own, I liked it, kind of. The first iced tea I was served was decent, good strength. The refill I had to go up to the cashier to beg for tasted like booty. If you've ever worked in a restaurant before then you know what I'm talking about, when your co workers do not clean the bottom of the steel iced tea container and you get the iced tea sip the next day? Iz okay, iz only ized tea. Parking, pretty tight, touch and go. Not ample if it ever gets busy here which lunch would be suspect but I got here at a good time. Pricing, as everybody that has reviewed here says and is true, cheap! You cannot find a cheaper place around even though I do not go to Pasadena much but if I did, I would be here. In all fairness, they seemed a little busy so I cannot knock the non existent service after they drop the food off. I am sure this will be a 4 star place on my next visit. Bookmark it, read the reviews, look at the food pictures, learn a little spanish, make the time and visit here and you will most likely NOT be disappointed. Got picky kids? There is a little of everything here and you don't have to worry about them being loud and disturbing other patrons because this isn't exactly a sit down enjoy a date restaurant. The cleanliness of this establishment is on par for where you are and what you are eating/paying for. It's not dirty/stinky bad, very tolerable even for a clean freak like mua. I was so happy to find this place in Pasadena. Typically my fiance and I have to leave Pasadena in order to find Chinese food that we both like. This place felt like it was made for us! It is Chinese and Vietnamese! On the Restaurant sign it said Fast Food, which made me wonder what I was getting myself into but I was surprised at how awesome the food was. We ordered water, tea, wonton soup, Vietnamese egg rolls, I decided on the chicken lo men and he opted for the General Tso's chicken. Wonton soup was very good, the broth was not too salty and the wontons had a very fresh taste which made it really hard to come to terms to the soup being all done! The Chicken Lo Mein was also very good, and I was so surprised at the plate of food I received. First of all the chicken felt tender and moist, which sometimes at other places chicken tends to be a bit on the dry side. Secondly (and my favorite part about it) is that the vegetables taste extremely fresh, they are not super soggy, they have a nice crunch to them, the broccoli was not just a bunch of stems. The combination of the food on the plate was very well balanced as far as the chicken, vegetables, and noodles go you had enough of each through each bite. Customer Service was very good as well, if we ever needed anything the waiter would bring it over to us right away. Very pleasant experience. If you drive through Southmore make sure to try this place out... you will not be let down, as a matter of fact, it will exceed your expectations. read more

This is a really excellent spot to get some good pho at decent prices. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. I got a bowl of Eye round steak and brisket w/fresh herbs for $6.95 and an order of pork egg rolls for $2.50. The food came out fairly quickly, with my my appetizer coming out first which is always great. The dining area is clean and the bathrooms smell fresh and are clean, paper towels were filled as well as a hand dryer. I'll definitely be back again! read more

I was super excited to have some warm and good food after feeling nauseous all day from my pregnancy. I got the Combination Pho (which at the time they were selling for 4.99), two egg rolls and a large taro bubble tea. They were all delicious & were all in total of 12 dollars! Plus their delivery fee was .75 cents. Also the portions of the food were perfect! The only little things that bothered me was that there was way more tapioca than usually bubble tea comes with, I wish there were a little bit more broth for my pho & wish they didn't have on and off delivery. The place is usually busy during late evenings. I ordered pho ga and avocado smoothie. I visited several Vietnamese restaurants and tried different food. Pho here was really bland and I think avocado smoothie was not made from real fruit. They used powder flavor avocado. It really disappointed me. May be next time, I'll try different food. read more

She said it had excellent flavor, however, the portion and shrimp were really small. She got another order of egg rolls because it wasn't enough. All in all we enjoyed our food. This is a good place to get Vietanmese or Chinese food. They have both. Food is good, parking sucks and service is good. This place is also pretty cheap compared to some Chinese or Vietnamese places I've beeen. Pho was good. Pho noodles were good and not too hard.. not mushy. Perfect! As I do in any restaurnat like this, I have to have my spring rolls. I usually get the shrimp ones and had them on my first visit. My second time I got the pork ones and they were just as good as the shrimp ones. When you order platters with meat, the meat is always tender when it is supposed to be. Since Pasadena and Deer Park areas really don't have very good Vietnamese places, this one is great to have around. Many have given it a 4 rating and I will follow with a 4 as well. read more

I'm definitely going to have to give this place a one star. I have had Pho all over Houston and just about any city I've visited. This was far the worst. The meat was nowhere near lean it was very fatty and to thick to cook within the hot soup. It was like I was pre cooked or something. Just Like the noodles, I had many clumps of noodles stuck together like that had even sitting out cold and then tossed into the broth. I'm also not a fan of the chop sticks and forks just sitting out at the table for every person to grab. I had to use to fingers and pinch my eating utensils out. Ate here a few time since I am from southwest. The area is pretty ghetto and uncomfortable to sit and not be afraid of someone trying to break in your car. The place was decent size if it was a fast food place. The boba is decent and the food is not really vietnamese. It's more of a mix of Chinese and vietnamese which makes it not authentic and Americanized. I don't like to go to restaurants when they try to do all culture food because it won't be a special taste l. The food was normal, but the price was affordable. The service was decent. South more Asian Restaurant has kind waiters, cool Asian decor and the food to me is authentic. The fried rice was freshly cooked and the meat in it was so tender and packed with flavor. I also liked that the fried rice wasn't oily or dry. It was the first time I had miso soup, so I wasn't too keen on having it before the main meal. I'm glad I gave it a try.
