Decided to try this place! Many spots that I drive by and I decided to eat dinner here tonight Let me tell you that as soon as we went in, the place looked very nice and relaxed ambiance! The service was great too!! Very welcoming and homey! Felt comfortable and at ease eating here! Like family The cooks in the back, who I think is the manager or owner, was very nice to look at us and say hi while organizing the area! The food we ordered was pho and Korean bbq ribs with white rice! Oh and Thai tea boba and everything was on point and delicious!!! The pho in this crazy texas rainy weather felt just perfect in my tummy lol and my husband enjoyed his rice and ribs!! He finished everything!!! I had lots of pho left over because it's quite huge but I'm happy because I will have some for later or tomorrow yassssss Stop by and give them a chance to try the food and enjoy the place and service!!! read more

I ordered a total of 4 dishes from the restaurant. The food had nothing wrong with it, but the driving service was terrible. We did not get a knock or a doorbell ring. Service and food were quick. Eggrolls needed more filling and were over fried, making them taste mostly like oil. I ordered them with the peanut sauce, which was just ok. Pho was good. I ordered the hangover pho with filet mignon. I wish it had more of it though. The noodles were a little thicker than I'm used to, making them a little gummy and harder to chew through. read more

Just moved to Baytown, so I've been checking out all the local spots, and this place is amazing for such good prices!!! The fresh spring rolls were some of the best I've ever had, and my dad and I order spring rolls everywhere we go. I ordered the pork bánh mì sandwich and added an egg, 10/10 great flavor, they don't go heavy on the sauce, and the meat was fire. My dad ordered the salmon and chicken rice plates. He loved them and how he didn't feel overfully full from them. For covid wise, they make you wear a mask when you walk in which I love, all utensils are pre-packaged, and everything seems very clean! read more

This was a huge disappointment especially because I'm really wanting to support a local business. The steak fries have a huge opportunity to be better but there was just minimal sauces and toppings and it just sucked. The steak part was good and the fries were good. Just not together. Eggrolls were good but didn't come with the lettuce and toppings. Had to ask for them. This place has potential just seems sloppy and out of sorts. read more

I absolutely love pho and I was craving it today. I decided to search for a spot near the area where I'm being treated for PT and I found Pho Em. After reading the reviews, I knew I had found my dinner spot. The outside left much to be desired but the inside was clean and inviting. I walked in and made my way to the counter where a young man (cashier/server) was completing a sale with a patron. Once he was finished I asked him if it was okay to seat myself since I wanted to dine in. He politely answered that I was welcome to seat myself wherever I desired. I found a seat at a booth and he immediately brought a menu and happily asked me if I wanted something to drink. I requested a glass of water. When he returned I ordered 1 little Vietnamese egg roll which I thought would be accompanied by a lettuce leaf and a side sauce but it didn't. The guy who came out with the egg roll was rather cold and nonchalant. No smile and no acknowledgment. I was pleased that my egg roll was freshly made and piping hot just like I like it. Not long after, a young lady came out with my pho which was also piping hot and so delicious. It hit the spot and I have more than enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I really want to give Pho Em 5 stars but here's the issue I had...the young cashier was AMAZING and the young lady that served my pho was polite and wore a smile. However, there was a woman whom I presume was the owner/manager who came out several times and sat in the restaurant. I could see her glance at me several times from my peripheral vision and not once did she bother addressing me. During the entire time I was in the restaurant, besides me, there was a gentleman who came in, ordered, ate and left. I grew up in a business that my parents purchased when we came to the U.S. and I KNOW the importance of quality customer service. I am currently a business owner and I know that your patrons are your bread and butter. It costs nothing to say "hello" or "good evening" or even "thank you for your business" it all goes a long way. This woman had ample time to make contact with me and build a positive rapport but she failed to do so. It's unfortunate that she didn't cease the moment with a kind gesture. It makes sense that the gentleman who came out with my egg roll had a similar demeanor... lead by example. As delicious as the food was, unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning to Pho Em. I have certain standards and expectations for the way that I'm treated especially when I'm spending my money at an establishment. read more

I ordered the spring rolls, Pho-lious and orange chicken. portion size and taste was average. My pho didn't have much meat in it and the beef rib had bits of meat and mostly fat. It had a good portion of veggies and noodles and broth. The orange chicken was decent and a little small on the portion size. The spring rolls and peanut sauce was good. read more

*Revised* Customer service is a huge plus for me, after posting the review below they offered to make it right and provide me with a free pho. This time it turned out just right! Ordered the pho with tendon and eye round steak. Broth was very good, rich and tasty, also the noodles were just right. Only downside was that I barely got any meat with my order.. only got 3 small prices of steak and 2 little pieces of tendon.. (i prefer thick cut tendon so if you're the same as me then I guess it's worth noting that the tendon is sliced very thin here as well), I should've checked when I got there but then again I didn't expect them to serve pho with such a small amount of meat... also barely any chopped onions. read more

This restaurant has a good service, good ambience, yummy and affordable food. Pho broth is super flavorful with tons of meat. One of the best Pho i've had. Prices are pretty decent for dining on food. Prices are great, food is great, the servers are very attentive and the restaurant is clean. I went here once. Thought it was ok but it was close to us. The second time I picked up a rice place to go and they charged me $1.00 for fish sauce! This sauce goes with the dish, so to charge is absurd. I won't be back. Also, the restaurant is dirty inside. read more

Overall I would say 3.5 depending on what you order. This was a to-go order and we got 2 pho Louis, 1 order of egg rolls & 2 orders of chicken wings. The chicken wings were seasoned and fried to perfection with plenty of crunch, juicy and flavorful, definitely the best part of our order. The egg rolls were good, (didn't come with carrots or lettuce). The Pho was underwhelming, the broth lacked depth, and the meat portions given for the Pho are the smallest I've ever had anywhere (photos included). Overall good potential, probably would not order the pho again but those wings will have me back again and I'll try other items off of the menu. read more

They opened about two weeks ago and I've gotten take out three times. Everything has been excellent. The first time, I had combo fried rice. Don't waste your money elsewhere and spend it at Pho Em. Their fried rice was spot on and perfectly flavored. Second time I had the rice plate with grilled pork. Selected the fried rice option which was and additional $2. It was again excellent. They give you a little bit of a salad on the side. It's just enough to not feel guilty about eating fried rice. The grilled pork is well made and I really enjoyed it. Today, I had the beef Banh Mi (or Vietnamese Sandwich) and the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both are great. The only thing I've forgotten to do was take pictures because I started munching on the food right away. I will be posting photos when I visit them again next week. read more

I love Vietnamese food so I've been trying local places. I can say this is the best by far. I got the vermicelli bowl and it actually came in a bowl! The meat had a lot of flavor and so did the fish sauce. I also liked the spicy paste that came separately so I could control the spice level. I got the milk coffee as well and it was really good. I don't get across the bridge very often, but I knew that this joint is a beloved local dive with good food. So I took the bait and experienced quick, accurate, and polite service. This place is not expensive, but I'm still not used to paying over $10 for lunch. (My problem. Not the restaurant's.) The egg rolls here are decent. I'm willing to bet that they aren't rolled in-house, since they aren't the short, fat versions that are overstuffed with cabbage. The fried rice is average, but fine. The General Tso's Chicken is seasoned very nicely and came out hot and fresh. My only issue is they actually use white meat! This is actually a great thing for 99% of the population, but I'm a dark meat guy. Finally, the hot and sour soup here is way above average, with velvety strands of egg, crunchy bamboo shoots, fresh mushrooms and a broth that someone actually gave some attention to. If I lived or worked around the corner, I'd very likely be the Yelp Duke of this place. Their recipes are really solid, and the service is spot on.
