Another place that I've always DoorDashed and finally went in to give the sit down experience a try. I was not disappointed! Ambiance was spacious and inviting with lots of tables and booths and someone greeting you with a smile as you walk in. Our waitress was very nice and attentive from start to finish and gave excellent recommendations. We ordered appetizers; pork pot stickers and green onion pancake, soooo good! The pot stickers came with black vinegar and the pancake with sweet chili sauce. I recommend double dipping the pancake in the black vinegar and then the sweet chili sauce, it's chef's kiss! Our entrees were sesame chicken and double cooked pork. The sesame was crispy and saucy (but not overly sauced) on the outside with juicy white meat chicken on the inside. It had a couple of pieces of cold broccoli which was refreshing between bites. Very delightful dish! The double cooked pork was actually thinly sliced pork belly and cooked and rendered so well with lots of veggies. Both came with rice or up charge for fried rice. Once we walked in we were welcomed by a calming presence and a very clean atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, Jenny was our waitress and she went above and beyond. The water was very refreshing. Our food came out within 5 minutes piping hot! The combo noodles and chicken noodles were so flavorful and we had enough leftovers for another meal. We stopped here on our way back to Houston and we're glad we did. We ordered the beef and carrot dumplings (5/5 ), chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce (5/5), and twice cooked pork (5/5) with fried and steamed rice. Each of their sauteed meals come with either egg drop or hot and sour soup, which are classics. We got their egg drop and it comes with carrots and peas, which was a nice touch that adds more depth to traditional egg drop soups. The soup dumplings were a bit small and not as good as others I've had. But the pork dumplings made up for it. So juicy and filled with meat. Looking for a place to have lunch but didn't want to go out of our way on our way to New Orleans from Houston. Close to I10 east , we took a chance not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. I have been to Asia and I have to day this is as close to there as you can come. It is a unique restaurant that we stumbled upon heading home from a trip. There was a lady in a glass enclosed room viewable to the patrons who was hand making all of the different dumplings and other things as well. The noodles are all hand made too. The food was accompanied with each a different sauce that went well with the item it came with. We ordered so much of everything to try and have no complaints at all. It was all delicious. Me and my husband have 3 kids and she lifted one of my boys up so he could see the dumplings being made from scratch. The waitress walked us through the menu and it was obvious she had tried everything she recommended. We had the Beijing pork with bun, the steam pork bao, lo mein, juicy pork buns. As if that wasn't delicious enough, the owner surprised my boys with these precious dessert dumplings that looked like little piglets. We will definitely be back!
