Orange chicken? More like orange soup
AnaLilia G.

Who said this is Chinese food? I'm sorry but I've tried authentic Chinese food and either the people here are trying to cut down on cost by not using the right ingredients or speeding up the process and not serving authentic Chinese food! How can you get orange chicken WRONG?!! Fried rice!?!?! Oh no!! Let me tell you: orange chicken is swimming in a red pink sauce like water!!! With brócoli wth!!!! And the fried beef is also swimming in sauce heck no!!! No savory flavor just a sweet sauce and the fried rice!! Omg how can you not know how to cook it!!???? I'm so mad right now, the rice is not cooked, it was fried while it being undercooked!! Not enough condiments or ingredients that a fried rice should have!! Come on what are you guys doing here!!! I really thoughts i was gonna eat Chinese food here in Texas!!! Have not found one and it sucks!! Wont be back!! Workers are nice and place is nice but food is not it! Update!!!! All night husband had diarrhea, I only ate the white rice and the egg rolls so for now I'm good, hopefully!! That's the only food we ate after 5pm and next day @9am husband still going to bathroom

Food was mediocre. Just like any other Chinese place. Nothing special. Place is clean. Hospitality sucked. Waiter had zero personality and no people skills. That's a perfect attitude when dealing with the public. Oh well there's a couple places down the road that are more than happy to serve you. TOODLES

Great food and good service. I had the cashew chicken which was hot and delicious with plenty of cashews. The fried rice is also very tasty.

As we walked in the hostess/waitress looked at us and kept asking "what?" at least 4 times before she realized we wanted a table for 2. We were seated and we felt like we were inconveniencing the waitress as she seemed to not really want to be there at all. It felt like wanted to take our orders, and leave our table ASAP. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it did not seem like standard service. The "fresh" soup dumplings were so thick and chewy. Normally soup dumplings are supposed to be thin and delicate but these were the complete opposite. The beef noodle soup lacked flavor all around. I ordered it with wide noodles as the server told me they were around half an inch wide, my noodles came out and they were over an inch wide... which is not what I expected. The scallion pancake was the best item I had that night and that says a lot since it was probably frozen/pan fried. The poor service coupled with the food definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. I wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone as there are plenty of other soup dumpling restaurants in the Houston are

I ordered the sesame chicken with white rice, veggie eggroll, and wonton soup. The wonton soup was the best broth I've ever had at an American Chinese restaurant, it was similar to miso soup but with wontons in it. The sesame chicken came with big pieces of chicken lightly battered and covered in a sweet sauce. The bf ordered kung pao chicken which was slightly spicy as always, he gave the whole experience 5 stars. Would recommend this place if you're hankering for American Chinese food.

I felt bad but it was so unsanitary. For starters. The servers are on their phones eating while serving and allllll touching the same disgusting door to enter and exit the kitchen. You can see so many nasty splatter marks on the door I was appalled. The chef (what I assume) then walked out. Used the restroom with an apron on, and then when I seen him remove it he was covered in paint covered clothing as if he just left a drywall job. I didn't take any photos unfortunately. I wish I wore my meta glasses to show you just how. Haptic and nasty it was

The fried rice was perfectly seasoned, the sesame chicken was crispy, and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly, and everything came out incredibly fast. About halfway through my meal, I started farting aggressively, but honestly that just meant I was enjoying myself. Right after I finished my food, I pulled out a chunk of plutonium and started consuming plutonium. The meal was so good that it felt like the natural next course. Nobody questioned it, and I appreciated the judgment-free atmosphere. The décor was nice too. There was a little sailboat tucked away that made me think, "Ahoy there, Dean," for reasons I can't quite explain. Overall, outstanding food, great service, and an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be back. Six out of Seven Stars.

**This is a 3.5 star review based on a to-go order.**…read more I'm a sucker for old school Americanized Chinese food, and this place hit the spot on a recent Tuesday. I don't get across the bridge very often, but I knew that this joint is a beloved local dive with good food. So I took the bait and experienced quick, accurate, and polite service. This place is not expensive, but I'm still not used to paying over $10 for lunch. (My problem. Not the restaurant's.) The egg rolls here are decent. I'm willing to bet that they aren't rolled in-house, since they aren't the short, fat versions that are overstuffed with cabbage. The fried rice is average, but fine. The General Tso's Chicken is seasoned very nicely and came out hot and fresh. My only issue is they actually use white meat! This is actually a great thing for 99% of the population, but I'm a dark meat guy. Finally, the hot and sour soup here is way above average, with velvety strands of egg, crunchy bamboo shoots, fresh mushrooms and a broth that someone actually gave some attention to. If I lived or worked around the corner, I'd very likely be the Yelp Duke of this place. Their recipes are really solid, and the service is spot on.
