Happened to know that my friend owns this location in Baytown (LA Crawfish is a franchise by the way!) when I was in Houston in January! I get to try the crawfish pho that seems to be people's favorite on Yelp. Finish the bowl so fast because it is so full of flavors. There are a bunch of small crawfish, all peeled inside, and the broth is so tasty with a thick layer of garlic butter floating on top! I ask to try the sauce, so they bring out a small bowl of it to dip the crawfish with. And I end up adding a spoon-full of that sauce in my pho, too! Pictured are a big bag (3lbs) of crawfish in Garlic Butter sauce (same sauce that they use to add flavor to the pho broth. This one is very spicy, so I try only one crawfish!), 1 small bag of the Hot and Sour sauce, some Chicken Wings, Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries, Cheesy Crawfish Rolls, and Beignets. I didn't try the wings and the fries so couldn't speak of that, but heard the wings were a bit too salty. Overall, I'm very surprised and pleased with the experience! Came here for lunch. Easy to get a table with no wait time. Staff was friendly. A few of us ordered the fried shrimp basket. For lunch, the portion was plenty. Loved the seasoning they used on the shrimp. A little different than your normal friend shrimp. And the fries in the basket were waffle crispy fries, with lots of seasoning.. sooo good! I can normally finish fries, but this basket j couldn't, plenty to eat. Another friend had the garlic noodles. The restaurant is located right next to the new ramen and poke bowl place that just opened up Which is actually closed on mondays so we came here as a second choice. Remembering that the last time I was there (2 years ago) wasn't worth my time or money, I was hopeful that it would be a different experience this time around. Nope. Still the same disappointment. I wonder how they stay in business? Because the food is definitely not good. I paid $86 on 02/25/2022 at the Wallisville Road location. The Crawfish were so dirty and had not been purged. They were disgusting and the wings were burnt and dry and just nasty. I know crawfish and these were probably dead before they were cooked because most of them smelt so bad. I guess the owners do not care about quality of food. I really was looking forward to having crawfish on today. The seasoning was amazing but the problem is that the crawfish was not fresh. They taste as if they were frozen. A waste of my money. Had my order delivered, no utensils, drink that was ordered was not delivered as well. The 1# of shrimp in garlic butter and 2 sausage links were packaged in a plastic bag together with the garlic butter. A knot was tied in the bag and then put in a paper bag then in a delivery bag. Of course it leaked and everything in the bag was covered in butter with no way to pour it out cleanly and no way to eat other than reach in to bag. Big mess. Really nice atmosphere! The cajun spicy crawfish was seasoned hot, but the heads were dry. They give a plastic table cloth to eat on, so less clean up. Can't complain, it just didn't make me go WOW. Great food, awesome staff, spectacular service, and amazing environment. Food: my favorites are hands down anything with shrimp. Love the extra sauces they call enhancements for their seafood! YUM get the shebang- garlic butter mixed with cajun! Hot&sour flavor is also my fav. Poboys and pho are unique. I always come in and get oysters as appetizer, then a main entree, then beignets for dessert (to die for, I finish one all by myself...) Service: So nice!! And so quick! When I go somewhere to eat, I'm hangry so I want my food asap. They always help me out when I need them. Environment: man oh man, I am literally eating on the sea.
