Welp, hate doing this, but here goes. I stopped by Halal Fried Chicken for dinner on a Tuesday. Located in Webster, this halal restaurant is located in a shopping center so parking won't be an issue. When I walked in, it was completely empty. No customers at all right around dinner time. You place your order at the counter. I could see the restaurant was somewhat dirty which is never a good sign. Maybe it's more of a takeout spot. I attempted to use a Groupon but was told that the restaurant was no longer accepting them due to new management. When I explained that a change in management isn't my fault, I spoke to the new owner who also was unwilling to budge. He offered me a 10% discount instead which was significantly less than the value of the Groupon. The new owner was a little rude and showed poor customer service. I'd avoid this restaurant. With how it looks, it doesn't seem like they care much about anything. read more

The Gyro over rice (which is lamb over rice) is so good ! There were two men, one of which greeted me very kindly (seemed to be the owner) and took my order. The place was nice and clean. It looks just like a New York City halal spot. I am definitely coming back for more halal food! The strawberry shake is finger licking good!! I was so excited to try them out last night. I was on my back from Galveston and I was hungry after a long day at the beach. I heard about this deal on IG about their 9pm-Midnight menu but when I arrived and mentioned it, the regular menu was still the same. Anyways I tried their Lamb Shawarma Sandwich combo with Fries and Drink which was suppose to be $8.99 however they charge 3 percent if you pay Credit so it turned out to be about $11 and change. I got it to go and when I opened it right when I got it there was rarely any fries, no sauces, or even ketchup. The guy wanted to charge me $1 extra for Garlic Sauce. They already put their sauce on it (which definitely has mayo in it) and that's fine, but why drench it in regular mayo too? If they just left off the regular mayo entirely and just used their sauce it would have been perfect. No idea why they think drenching it in mayo is appealing even for people that like mayo. The food is excellent, the fried chicken is the crispiest you will ever eat and if you're smart and like spice, you'll get it sprinkled with the Nashville hot seasoning.
