Chicken tikka momos
Stanley S.

Glad we finally have Monks location in the Clear lake area after having to commute to Pearland/Heights. We went two weeks after the initial opening and the location was packed. The location was large with a modern interior and staff were friendly and accommodating. We tried the Chili garlic shrimp, butter chicken, chicken biryani, chicken tikka momos, street style noodles, and garlic naan. The dishes were flavorful and spicy but portions were a little on the smaller side. But we especially liked the momos with the chutney and the street style noodles. Probably our favorite indo-chinese chain in Houston and worth trying if you live in the Webster area.

Exceptional from start to finish! Every dish was incredibly delicious with bold, unique flavors that truly stood out. The dumplings are an absolute must -- bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the garlic naan and garlic butter paneer, both rich and irresistible. And don't skip dessert... it was unbelievably good and the perfect ending to an amazing meal!

Came for their soft opening this weekend and we were pleasantly surprised as to how clean and beautiful decorated it was. Food came out at a decent time and you can tell staff were really trying their best when every table was filled. Food was flavorful - our favorite was the chicken lollipops (drums of heaven)! Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Drums of Heaven (Masala flavor)

Amazing food! Great service. Clean and chic atmosphere. We will be back. We started with the Masala Drums of Heaven. Must try! The chicken Tikka Masala was as expected and delicious. The street style noodles were amazing (I ordered shrimp, the shrimp are small will probably try a different protein next time). The chicken Biryani was flavorful and delicious. Lastly, the garlic naan was perfectly thin and had great flavor.

The food is incredible and well priced. Highly recommend the butter masala and the garlic naan. The street noodles were also incredible, but very spicy (medium spice level).

The food is really good and the service is just amazing!! This is a great place to go out and eat!

Simple delicious! She's a sweetheart too!

I circled around multiple times before parking illegally. It was a busy night but part of the problem is a section of the parking lot is valet only. For regular parking. I really hate when places do this. Two thumbs down for the parking set-up. Luckily, once I made my way inside, things got better. McIntyre's is a huge bar. They have a spacious patio but we sat inside. There are plenty of TVs which make it a great spot to watch sports. And they even have a mini food court! I didn't eat but I noticed that one of the two spots serves Mexican fare. My buddy had some loaded fries with al pastor that looked incredible. He said it was good. I stuck with some beers. You'll find your usual assortments of cocktails, beer, and wine here. It's a full bar. Another pet peeve of mine? Cops are the door. It just kind of kills the vibe a little bit when there's a police officer staring at people. Not that anyone was up to no good but it's kind of like drinking while your grandma is watching. Just a little awkward. McIntyre's is comparable to Little Woodrows in the area. They're both huge sports bars with spacious patios. With that being said, I think Little Woodrows offers the better overall experience.

Wow. WOW is the word to describe this place…read more Let me tell you about Bella the bartender, the BEST bartender I have ever encountered in my entire life. And listen, I'm basically a certified alcoholic (just kidding... allegedly), so trust me when I say I know a good drink when I taste one. I've sampled enough lovely liquors in my day to know what's good and what's just overpriced sadness in a glass. Bella is COMMITTED to her craft. She literally told me she studies cocktail recipes day and night. Like... how cute is that? Meanwhile I can barely commit to folding my laundry. Then she proceeds to make me the SMOOTHEST, yummiest espresso martini my tastebuds have ever had the privilege of experiencing. One sip and I was astonished, emotional, slightly turned on, all of the above. This woman has the shake hands of a goddess. I think I fell in love a little bit. Also, shoutout to the super friendly man in the Hawaiian shirt and Bob Ross-style beret. He brought immaculate vibes to the whole place and made the experience even better (for the most part). Anyways, the drinks at this place are phenomenal. 1000% give this place a try. And if you get Bella as your bartender, congratulations- you ARE one of God's favorites.

You would think all the great cocktail bars would be in the heart of the city, but the Clear Lake…read morearea has some major contenders. Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. This place will quickly be one of your favorites. I will surely be back.

I've driven by a countless number of times, and you'd never really know it's there. But walking in, you immediately get that local dive bar kinda vibe in the best way possible. I met up with some friends here for a chill drink after work, and to our surprise it was karaoke night! I have to applaud the regulars here because they can really SING! But don't be shy if you can't, they were welcome to everyone going up for a song. As far as drinks go, I had the Alimony. I was sold on it because it's gin, guava juice and elderflower liquor. Balanced, not too sweet, and had a little bit of sparkling effervescence. Pair that with a shot or a beer, and we were having a great time catching up with old friends. I don't remember our bartender's name, but she gave us great service. Overall 10/10 recommend the Davenport Lounge Clear Lake if you're looking for where the locals go, trust me they know best.
