    Great food if you want more authentic Chinese food. The type of Chinese food offered in the suburb is usually a syrup sweet mess called American Chinese food. Yuck!! This is the only place near me that doesn't offer that awful concoction called Chinese food. I got the Biang Biang noodle for dine in..just perfect al dente, chewy noodle with a light mildly spicy salty sauce and vegetable, 5 out of 5. It was so good I ordered it to go with beef protein. And then I couldn't stop and order curry chicken fried rice (3 out of 5, too dried) and peppercorn steak fish (4 out of 5, my fault when it had 2 hot pepper symbols it meant hot! I should have asked them for a mild version ) to go. I'm going to eat outstanding for the rest of the week!!

    My husband and I just went to Spicy Banda for dinner, we went around 8pm. The restaurant was empty, but I went for the good reviews. The place is big, and very clean. The waiter was very nice and polite. They have a variety of options on their menu, even house made noodles, which we couldn't let pass. We ordered steamed pork siu mai as an appetizer, it was so juicy, flavorful with sweet and salty sauce. Then we got the garlic Shrimp plate, it was a generous portion, perfect for sharing, came with an order of rice, you can have it white or fried, we ordered it fried and it was so simple yet delicious. The shrimp was not that garlicky, more on the sweet side, but not overly sweet. Then we got the Xinjiang hand pulled noodles, this particular dish was so appealing to the eye, the noodles were so thick, and so chewy, with a very nice flavor from the beef. I loved their house made spicy oil too. I will definitely go back to dine in and order the Pekin duck!

    We had read many good reviews on Facebook about this new spot and decided to check it out. Impressed that there is a Szechuan option in the Kemah/League City area! We came in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. Decided to try the xiao long bao (soup dumplings), red oil wontons, half order of Peking duck, three flavor pepper chicken, orange chicken, and beef flat noodles. Everything was really good! The half order of Peking duck comes with two dishes - a bone-based soup and the sliced duck (choice of 5 baos or 10 pancakes to wrap it with). The three flavor pepper chicken is the classic spicy fried chicken bits that you'll find at most Szechuan restaurants - portion was huge and came in a cornucopia-looking basket, delicious. The orange chicken was nothing special, on par with others I've had, but the beef flat noodles was really flavorful! The only thing slightly lacking was the service. There were only three people working the front of the house, one of them being the owner. This left two people running around waiting and cleaning the tables, so it was a little slow finding someone if we needed a refill. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area or are just craving Szechuan food and don't feel like driving all the way to the inner city or Chinatown!

    Oh my gosh... this place is so underrated! My dad and I came here on a Tuesday night and it was super chill. The service was great and everyone was very kind. We started with the hot and sour soup and it was delicious. Be careful though, the small is a large portion in my opinion, which is great. Next we ordered pork soup bao, and that took about 25 minutes to come out so I would order that first, but our server warns us that it would take awhile. Next, I ordered their Mongolian beef and wow... it was outstanding! It came with grilled onions that were so tasty and I couldn't stop eating! My dad order the house fried rice and that was good too! Can't wait to come back and try more foods! It's fun when you branch out and find new favorites!

    My husband and I live very close by and were intrigued by the recent change in name and management of what used to be Szechuan Garden. We were not regulars to Szechuan Garden, but now we may be regulars of Spicy Panda. I like all the Christmas decorations inside the restaurant, as well as the big Chinese paintings of animals like goldfish, which signify good fortune. You can tell this place is more "authentic" because all the employees are Chinese and speak multiple dialects of Chinese. There was even a table of Chinese kids watching TV and on their phones, and not eating--obviously related to the owners or employees in one way or another. The menu includes a good variety of Chinese-American dishes and "authentic" Chinese dishes. We ordered 1/2 a Peking duck, boiled fish in hot sauce, and Kung pao chicken. Like at most Chinese restaurants that serve Peking duck, Spicy Panda uses the duck bones to make a bowl of duck broth soup. The soup here is clean, creamy, and hearty. For a Friday evening, service was pretty quick. The fish came out first with two bowls of rice. We thought it tasted mild at first but then the peppercorns kicked in. Their version of the boiled fish is pretty good; it reminded me of flavors I've had in Taiwanese cuisine. The duck and Kung pao chicken soon followed. The duck portion appeared small to me, but it's actually quite filling. I like the very thin wraps this restaurant uses, rather than the sweet baos (buns) that a lot of other restaurants serve with Peking duck. They give you a good amount of sliced green onions and cucumbers to eat with the duck; their plum sauce is a bit strong for my taste, though. The Kung pao chicken was surprisingly good. They give you a lot of peanuts in this dish, and the sauce is different from the sauce I've had in other Kung pao chicken versions. Overall, I liked the food here very much. Service was pretty strong overall. It seemed like they had one server for the whole restaurant, but the owner and who I assume to be his wife also helped with serving. We definitely got more attention towards the beginning of the meal rather than later. Also, we had to flag someone down to give us chopsticks--they really should just provide chopsticks without prompting, as most people know how to use them. My last quibble with the service is the rice issue. I hate it when Asian restaurants are stingy with their rice. I understand that one order of XYZ dish is served with one serving of rice. But is it really necessary to bring out three bowls of rice for my husband and me to share between the two of us? Why can't you just bring out a communal bowl of rice for us to serve between the two of us. We're both clearly Asian, give us chopsticks. Give us rice. Lastly, the bathrooms are spacious and clean. Oh, the music is just Mix 96.5, which I thought was very distracting. At least set it to Sunny 99.1, which is airing holiday favorites. Overall, a surprisingly good dining experience. Will probably be making future visits here.

    I really, really like this place and its not just bc of their emoji-cute panda logo. The Sichuan cuisine here is really authentic and outright flavorful -- it's truly a gem of a Chinese restaurant. Ghost the General and moo shu: Dan dan noodles, double cooked pork, and three pepper chicken are the real heavy hitters here. I am really happy to have this place so close by, but my glutes are not.

    Very good Dan Dan noodles. I will definitely be headed back for more. Also my Mom loved her egg drop soup. The service was prompt as well.

The sweet and sour chicken had a crispy batter breading, but there was barely any chicken. I'm glad there was a lot of chicken in the fried rice to compensate.     After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. Overall, some hits and some misses.

The second time I visited, I had the Hong Shao Rou with mushrooms (Braised Pork Belly) to-go, not a huge fan of takeout and this didn't disappoint and it was good. The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. From the outside it features the traditional Chinese architecture with western building base. I look forward to yaksying the rest of the menu this year.

Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.
